Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2019 Subaru Outback wagon, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt custom fit vehicle wiring harness. One of the things that's really cool about this wiring setup is that it's going to live inside of the back of your Subaru whenever you're not using it, but whenever you're ready to use it super easy to do so. Open up your hatch, lift up your floor covering, and take it right out of storage. Then we can drape it over our threshold anywhere where there's a weatherstrip, we'll be fine. Just avoid the latch, close our hatch, and we're ready to hook up to our trailer. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today in our 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Here's what our wiring's going to look like once we have it installed. It is designed to stay on the inside of the vehicle until we're ready to use it.Once we want to, we simply drop it out the rear hatch, making sure that we stay away from the latch mechanism. We can go ahead and shut the hatch, and the weather stripping here is going to provide enough cushion that it won't damage the wire. As you can see, we'll have plenty of wire to hook up to our trailer. Our wiring's going to give us a 4-Pole flat trailer connector, and all the lights we need to get down the road safely, like our tail light signals, turn signals, and our brake lights. Our wiring does have a converter box, so it's going to take the signal from our Subaru and convert it into a working signal for our trailer. But it's also going to protect our car from any kind of back beating or any problems that may arise from the trailer end.As far as installation goes, our wiring's going to be extremely straightforward. We're not going to have to cut, splice or tap into our vehicle's wiring at all. more
