All right, so right here we have the Tekonsha wiring, in the middle we have the Curt wiring, and over here we have the Hopkins wiring. And to be honest with you, you really can't go wrong with any of these. If I had to pick one for my own personal vehicle it would really just depend on where I was wanting to mount or store my wiring. more

Here we're going to have our three options. Here on your right we're going to have the CURT, here in the middle we're going to have the Hopkins, here on your left we're going to have the Tekonsha. Let's go over the differences between these three.Our Hopkins and our Tekonsha, you're simply going to plug them in, and that's all you have to do. With our CURT, we're going to have to plug it in, we're going to have to ground our wire, and install the fuse. more

Hopkins Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon- Video
And this is what your wiring harness looks like when it's installed. It normally stays inside the vehicle, but when you're ready to use it it drapes down over the back. It provides you with all the necessary lighting signals you'll need to keep you DOD compliant in all states which includes your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps. When you're all done using your wiring it'll store inside your Subaru.We'll open it up and here on the inside, you could see that when we we're using it was smashed between our weatherstripping here, which is perfectly fine. It actually keeps our wiring in place, but it doesn't cause any damage to it. Here we have the module for our wiring harness. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon- Video
Today, in our 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon, we're going to be installing the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connectors. Part number is 118467. We're going to start by removing our floor coverings here. There are panel here in the middle. We'll also pop up the panel here on the left side. Now, we grab in here in the middle, we can take out our jack and tools. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon C56040- Video
Today on our 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon, we're going to be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness, with a full pull flat trailer connector, part number C56040. We're going to begin our installation by first raising the rear hatch of the vehicle. Next we're going to need to clean out any linings here that may be in the trunk, such as this rubber mat. We'll also set our cover here aside. Next, we're going to need to remove this rear cover here, then need to set the spare tire cover aside. We'll need to remove this trunk covering piece. Next we'll come up here to the back seats, and we'll fold each side down. more
