Curt Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Kia Soul- Video
Ryan: Hey, everybody. My name's Ryan and here at etrailer we install, test fit, and review a lot of different parts. That way, we can try to answer any questions those of you might have, and that's exactly what we're doing here today on our 2013 Kia Soul. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring Harness.The wiring is going to provide us with the necessary lighting functions, not only to remain safe, but legal as well whenever we're pulling our trailer, because it's going to send those outputs out to the back of it, providing us with the stop, taillight, and turn signals. Not to mention too, some hitch-mounted accessories like cargo carriers and things of that nature actually have lights on them too that can illuminate, and the four-way connector will be able to power those up as well.This is a really well-built kit. It actually comes with a nice, thick rubber dust cap, and that's going to help keep the terminals in good condition. more

Best 2013 Kia Soul Trailer Wiring Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best wiring options for your 2013 Kia Soul. Here we have the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness, and over here we have the CURT vehicle wiring harness. Now both of our kits are going to give us a four-pole flat to hook up to our trailer and give us all the required lights, such as our turn signals, stop lights, and clearance lights. Now both of them are going to stay on the outside of the vehicle until we're ready to use them. Let's take a closer look at some of the differences. Now one of the biggest differences, although it may be small, is the dust covers. Our CURT is going to have a removable and replaceable dust cover, whereas our Tekonsha is going to be built in. Now the way these are both going to be installed is we're going to have a t-connector that's going to go in between our taillights and our wiring from our vehicle. Now one benefit that CURT does have as far as installation goes is that the wires are going to be somewhat smaller at the connection points compared to the Tekonsha here, so it will be a little bit easier to get the wires in place behind our taillights. Now both our kits are going to have converter boxes so that we know that our trailer's going to get the right signal. more

Today in our 2013 KIA Soul, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the tow ready T1 vehicle wiring harness with the 4-pole flat trailer connector. Part number is 118637. This is what the wiring harness is going to look like when you pull it out of the package. We're going to have our T connectors . This is where it gets its name. Basically, we just separate the plug that goes right into the back of the taillight housing and this going to go right in line.
