Hey everyone, Clayton here at etrailer.com. Today, we'll be taking a look at, and I'll show you how to install Hopkins plug-in simple, plug and play four pole wiring harness for our 2016 Kia Sorento. This is what our wiring harness is going to look like installed. We have the option to mount it on our safety chain loops, or on our bracket here on our hitch. Now, these two are for a Sorento without a factory tow package, and these are for your Sorento with a factory tow package, so we do have quite a few options. Hi there Kia owners. Today we're going to be installing Curt's T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for factory tow packages with the 4-Pole flat trailer connector.This wiring harness is going to be the solution to provide your trailer with all the necessary lighting it needs to be DOT compliant in all States. Whether you're hauling your utility trailer or loading up your jet skis for the weekend, this is gonna make sure you get there with no citations.It's a standard 4-pole connector, so it's going to provide you with your left-turn signal, right-turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps. The dust cap is pre-attached to your connector and it can be used to keep out any dirt, debris and moisture, ensuring a long-lasting connection. You can also secure it to your safety chain loop on your hitch to keep it up out of the way when not in use.We'll begin our installation underneath the vehicle on the driver side. You want to remove the trim panel located underneath, there's gonna be four pushpins we're gonna need to remove. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Kia Sorento- Video
Speaker 1: Today in our 2016 Kia Sorento, we'll be having a look at, and installing the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part# 118583. Now here's what our wiring looks like installed. This 4-pole flat wiring harness gives us the basic lighting functions that are required by law in order for us to safely and legally tow a trailer. This white wire here provides our necessary ground connection between our Sorento and our trailer. This brown wire here is our tail light and running light circuit wire for our trailer. On this circuit we have seven and a half amps of power output to run our lights on that circuit. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Kia Sorento- Video
Today, on our 2016 Kia Sorento, we'll be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with four-pole flat trailer connector, part number C56256. Okay. Here's what our wiring looks like installed. As you can see, we have an adequate amount of length to easily hook up to our trailer. We even have some more zip tied up behind the bumper if we would like to have a longer amount. This will give us all of our functions we need to legally tow our trailer. We'll have our turn signals, our brake lights and our taillights and running lights. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Kia Sorento 118269- Video
Today we're going to be reviewing and installing the Taconcha T-One vehicle wiring harness for the factory tow package with a four pole flat trailer connector, part number 118269 for the 2016 Kia Sorento. Here we've got everything that comes with our T-One connector kit. Right here we've got the instructions which give you instructions for both the Sorento and the Hyundai Veracruz. We've got some zip ties for tying all our loose wiring up. We've got double-sided sticky tape which will go on the back of our module here. We've also got this little self-tapper screw. If you want you can give a little bit of extra security on that module. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Kia Sorento C56151- Video
Today on our 2016 Kia Sorrento, we're going to be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with the four-pull flat wiring trailer connector. Part number is C56151. Now here you can see your wiring and what it's going to look like when you receive it. You're going to have a hardware kit that includes a fuse. That fuse is going to go right into our fuse holder. It helps protect any of the circuits of our vehicle, and also our trailer. Got our module box. more
