Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness.Now, what sets this one apart from many of the others is the fact that it's plug and play. We're going to have our four-pole end on this side, and the other side is going to have a connector that'll plug directly into our factory tow package, as opposed to having to tap into our Traverse's tail lights and have to run a power wire all the way out front to the battery. It's going to provide us with all of the necessary lighting functions to not only remain safe but legal. And other motorists on the road will appreciate the fact that your lights work, and they're going to know your intentions as you're pulling your trailer.We're going to have a thick rubber dust cap that's not only going to help our terminals clean, but it also serves as a hanger. That way we could store our wiring outside on our hitch. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Connector, part number HM11141150. This is gonna give us all the proper lighting function to safely tow our trailer. It's gonna give us both turn signals, our brake lights, our running lights, and our ground. It's also gonna have a nice dust cap that's gonna help protect our connections from any dirt, debris, and moisture.This wiring harness is gonna plug directly into your factory tail light wiring and into your factor tail lights. The good thing about it is it's gonna have a power wire that runs up to your battery. The good thing about that is, it's not gonna draw any power from your tail lights themselves, it's gonna draw all the power from the battery, so you're not gonna get that dimming effect if you have lights that are drawing a little bit more power, or you have a few extra lights on your trailer.The first thing we need to do to start our installation, is we need to get into the hatch. more

This offers a seven way trailer connector. Part number is 118271. With our tester hooked up, let's go through our lights and make sure they're working properly. We've got our running lights signal there, left blinker, right blinker, brake. When we pull our wiring out of the box this is what we're going to have. We've got our connector right here. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Traverse c56245- Video
Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, we're going to be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for the factory tow package option. It's part number is C56245. We'll locate the factory tow package connector, it's going to be right here above the exhaust of the passenger side, right against the side frame rail of the vehicle here. Now we'll pull this down. See with it pulled down it's going to give us a little bit more slack here to work with. Then be able to take the end our new wiring harness and connect it to that tow package. more
