Today in our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're gonna be installing Mighty Cord fifth wheel/gooseneck trailer wiring harness with seven pole connector. You can get this in a seven foot or 10 foot length. This wiring harness is gonna take your factory seven pole connector that's at the back of your vehicle and reposition it up here, while maintaining the one that's still at the back. What's nice about this is if you have a trailer you haul out of your hitch, you can use the one at the back, but when you hook up your fifth wheel, you've now got easy access to plug your fifth wheel in with the one that's located in your truck bed.The connector itself has a spring loaded lid, make sure it stays shut when not in use to keep out any moisture, ensuring a long lasting connection. On the inside when we open the lid, there's a rubber seal on here to help keep that moisture out even further and our seven pole connector. Curt 5th Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Chevrolet 2500- Video
Speaker 1: Today in our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt fifth wheel gooseneck custom wiring harness with seven pull connector, part number C56000.Fits nice and flush against the side of our bed of our vehicle. It doesn't take up much valuable bed space at all. We have a door, which is spring loaded, has a nice foam rubber gasket on it to help protect it, the connector, keep the elements out of it when it's not in use. It opens fairly wide, making it easy for us to insert our connector. This is an idea solution if we have a gooseneck or a fifth wheel trailer, that way we don't have to have a cable draping down over our tailgate to connect to our factory connector. Most of the time those connectors aren't even long enough on the trailer themselves to reach down to your factory connectors so you need a solution like this.We don't have to worry about climbing up into our truck bed to plug in this connector where we have it mounted. more

Hopkins Endurance Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel and Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Plug, part number 41157. Here we've got everything that comes in our wiring kit. We've got our wiring harness with the T-connector to T into the existing wiring harness, a ground for the wiring harness, then the plug that goes into the back of your new 7-way that'll be in the bed. Some zip ties just for securing the wiring down, or any excess wire, some self-tapping screws with washers, and a couple small tubes of dielectric grease to ensure that you're not going to get any corrosion to cause you some problems with your connectors. This harness kit is very nice. It gives you a real clean look because all you got is this plug up here, and you're still able to use your factory 7-way that's down at your bumper near your license plate. It's also nice because having this one up here eliminates the need to possibly run an extra wire up over your tailgate in order to plug it in to your 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer. more

Demco 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today, on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, we're going to be taking look at and installing the Demco 5th wheel gooseneck 90-degree wiring harness with 7-pole plug, part number DM8555002. Here's what it looks like once it's installed on a bed of the truck. As you can see, this gives us a nice, easy connection point for our 5th wheel or gooseneck wiring harness. It comes with a spring-loaded door to help make sure that this stays covered and protected and that the elements aren't able to get in there and corrode your connections. This harness is going to T into the factory 7-pole wiring harness. Then you'll run the wire up to the back of this so that you can have power here as well. This wiring harness is going to do a great job of making sure that you've got that same 7-pole wiring up here as you do on the back bumper. more

Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Draw-Tite 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness with a 7-Pole Connect. The part number is 20110. As you see here, that offers a 7-pole connector just like what we've have from a factory setup. It's got a stainless steel spring here that helps to keep our door down with the little tab here that holds our 7-pole plug into position so we won't have to worry about it disconnecting. Inside, they've provided a rubber gasket here that's going to help keep this sealed when not in use so we won't have to worry about all the dirt and debris and things like that building up inside. Now as far as locations go, you can pick anywhere you want. You've got a 7-foot lead so from where our plug is on the back of the truck, we're going to have a 7-foot reach. more
