Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Colorado

Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at ETrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Hopkins four-pull trailer wiring on a 2015 Chevy Colorado. A four-pull trailer wring kit is essential anytime you are pulling a trailer. Now that's because it's going to send you signals from your vehicle to your trailer for your turn signals, your running light and your brake lights. So that's going to let people behind you know what you're actually doing, and it's going to keep you safe and legal. Hopkins Multi-Tow Trailer Connector Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Colorado

Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com and today you're going to be taking a look at the Hopkins Multi-Tow Trailer Connector on our 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. Now our plugins here provide us with a four way flat trailer connector as well as a seven way RV style trailer connector. Those are really the most two common connectors that you'll find on trailers and the nice thing is if you do have a different connector, our seven way is going to accept all sorts of adapters so even a five or six way round. We're going to adapt it for use with that as well. Now our four ways going to provide us with our taillights, our turn signals and our stoplights so we get all the lighting functions to get down the road safely. Now our seven way are can provide us those as well, but it's also going to give us a 12 volt power source here at the back, our reverse lights, and we're going to be able to hook up a brake controller later on down the road and be able to control the brakes on the trailer. And like most trailer connectors, it's going to have a built-in dust cover. The door is going to be spring loaded to keep all the dirt and debris out and if we look inside, we're also going to have this gasket that's going to seal everything up really nice and prevent any kind of water from leaking in. more
