With our bolt tight our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 11 inches, and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is two inches. We can now go ahead and pull the hitch switch here at the bottom of the bike rack mast which will allow the mast to tilt down. more

Today on this 2013 Honda CRV Ill be showing you how to install and operate the Yakima Stickup two bike hitch mounted folding rack, part number Y02420. To install take the bike rack carrier and slide the shank into the hitch, lining up the threaded pin hole. Take the pin and thread it through the pin hole, tighten with the wrench and secure it with a clip on the other side. Now well go over some clearance measurements to see how the rack fits with the vehicle. Theres 12 inches of ground clearance, five inches from the closest part of the rack to the closest part of the vehicle, and weve added an overall 17.5 inches tot eh vehicle. To access the cargo area pull the big red pin and allow the bike rack to fold down. more

To mount the carrier to our vehicle we will insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well thread into our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down using a wrench. Next we will go over a couple of clearance measurements, weve got about 3-/12 of space between the closet part of the vehicle and the closet part of the carrier, weve got about 9 of ground clearance from the bottom of the bike rack to the ground. Overall, weve added about 10 of length to the rear of our vehicle. We also want to check for rear vehicle access. more

Well remove the pin at the base of the bike rack and tilt it down to make sure we can still open the cargo door of our CRV. To mount the carrier to our vehicle were going to insert the shank into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down. Next well check for rear vehicle access. Well remove the pin at the base of the bike rack and tilt it down. Well open the hatch of our CRV and make sure we can still access our cargo area. more

To mount our carrier to the vehicle first well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our vehicle. Well push it in until the automatic hitch pin closes in our hitch pin hole and then well tighten the anti-rattle device with the hand knob. Next well go over some clearance measurements. Weve got about 6 inches of clearance between the closest part of the bike carrier and the closest part of the vehicle. Weve got about 13 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the bike rack to the ground. more

To mount our carrier to the vehicle were going to hold open the automatic hitch pin. Well fit the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. Well release the automatic hitch pin and let it snap into place in our hitch pin hole then well use the hand knob to tighten down the anti-rattle device securing our bike rack to the vehicle. Next were going to check for rear vehicle access. Well pull the quick release lever at the base of the bike rack and let it tilt down. more

To mount the Bike Carrier to our vehicle, well insert the shank of the rack into the receiver tube of out hitch and line up the hitch pinholes. Well thread in our anti-rattle bolt, snug it down with the -inch wrench and secure it on the opposite site with a lock. Next, were going to check some clearance measurements. Weve got about 4 inches of clearance between the farthest part of our vehicle and the closest point of the bike rack. Weve got about 14 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the rack to the ground; and overall, weve added about 11 inches of length to the vehicle. more

Today on our 2012 Honda Civic well be test fitting part #: TH934XTR, this is the Thule Hitching Post Pro folding and tilting four bike carrier for both inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitches. A quick note on this bike rack is it will work for class 1, class 2 or class 3 hitches, however when using in a class one hitch youre limited to two bikes. To begin our test fit well simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install our anti-rattle bolt. With our anti-rattle bolt tight our bike racks secured to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack was 13 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 6 inches. more

Well now go ahead and pull the pin at the bottom of the bike rack mast which will allow us to tilt the mast down. more

Alright, today on this 2012 Honda CRV were going to do a test fit of part #: TH 958 from Thule. One thing to know about this bicycle rack that it is designed for 2 inch receiver hitches only. Now well start off our test fit by installing our bike rack into the hitch, then well go ahead and tighten down the anti-rattle bolt. Then well go ahead and get a couple of clearance measurements. From the security loop on the bike rack to the bumper is going to be 4 inches, from the bumper to the end of the arms is going to be 24 inches and ground clearance is going to be 12 inches. Now well go ahead and tilt be bike rack back and check for access to the back of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2012 Honda CRV were going to be test fitting the Thule Apex 4 bike carrier for 1 inch and 2 inch hitches part #: TH9025. With our vehicle equipped with a 2 inch hitch and our bike rack already preassembled we can go ahead and slide the bike rack shank directly into the receiver tube of the hitch lining up the hitch pinhole with the integrated locking hitch pin. Then well go ahead and take the hand knob and secure the bike rack to the hitch. As you can see with the hand knob tightened down it really takes out any movement between the bike rack and the vehicle. From the nearest point of the bumper to the nearest point of the hand knob on the bike rack shank is 3 inches. With our carrying arms down in the stored position it adds an additional 14 inches to the overall vehicles length. more
