To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch. Line up the pin hole and allow the attached pin to fall into place. Well then use the hand knob to secure our bike rack to our vehicle and engage our anti-rattle device. Now well go over a few clearance of measurements. We have about 13-1/2 inches of ground clearance. more

Today on our 2013 Toyota Highlander, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Jackknife 2 Bike Rack for 1 1/4 and 2-inch hitches, part number S63450. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up the pin hole and thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tightening it with a wrench. Then we can install the clip on the other side. Now we'll go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 12 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the bike rack to the rear of our vehicle, here at the top, is about 12 1/2 inches. And down here at the bumper, it sits about 13 1/2 inches away. We've added about 23 inches to the overall length of our Highlander. We'll pull the safety pin at the base of the bike rack and allow it to tilt away from our vehicle. more

Now we'll go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 15 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the bike rack to the rear of our vehicle is about 10.5 inches. We've added about 28 inches to the overall length of our Highlander. We'll pull the three pins at the base of the bike rack and allow the platform and the mast to unfold. more

Well undo the pins at the top of the mast to swing out our dual arms.With these out, weve added about 33 inches to the overall length of our Highlander. Well undo the cradle straps to expose our cradles, grab our bike, place it onto the frame cradles and secure it by tightening each strap. more

We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll line up the pin hole and thread in our anti rattle bolt tightening it with a wrench and then we can install our lock. Now we'll go over a very clearance measurements. We have about 12 inches of ground clearance, the closest one to the bike rack to the rear of our Highlander is about eight inches and we've added about 39 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. We'll undo the cradle straps, six was our cradles, grab our bike, place it onto the frame cradles and secure it by tightening each strap. One of the great features of the Paralellogram is it's ability to tilt away from the vehicle while keeping the bike parallel to the ground. more

This gives us full access to our rear hatch. With the mast back in its upright position, and the pin in clip reinstalled at the base, we can go ahead and pull the safety pin at the top of the mast to swing out our dual arms. more

We'll be using the hidden hitch ball mount with an extra long shank, part number 80232. Please keep in mind that the ball mount for the ball and the pin and clip are all sold separately. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll line up our pinhole and insert our pin and clip. We'll go ahead and pull the pin at the top of the mast to swing on our dual arms. Under our cradle straps, grab our bike, place it onto the frame cradles and secure it with the straps. Just like that, we're all loaded up and we're ready to go. That completes today's test fit of the Hollywood Racks Traveler Tow-n-Go three-bike rack for 2 inch ball mounts, part number HR135 on our 2013 Toyota Highlander. . more

Now to begin our test fit well simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight this will secure our bike rack to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 12-1/2 inches and from the closes point of the bike rack in the stored position to the back of the vehicle is 5-1/2 inches. Well now go ahead and pull the switch at the bottom of the bike rack to fold the platform down. more

This is the Thule Hitching Post Pro Folding and Tilting 4 Bike Carrier with Anti-Sway Cradles for both 1-1/4 and 2-inch hitches. Now to begin our test fit, we've already installed the included adapter onto the bike rack shank, so we're ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. We'll simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. more

Today on our 2006 Toyota Highlander well be test fitting the Thule Apex 4 Bike Carrier, part number TH9025. Now to begin our test fit well simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, well need to make sure that the integrated locking hitch pin is pulled. Once it slides over the collar of the hitch we can then let it go and allow it to slide into the hitch pin hole. When it slides into the hitch pin hole we can go ahead move to the back of back of bike rack shank and tighten down the anti-rattle knob. This will secure our bike rack to the vehicle. At this point we can give you a few measurements. more
