How Does the B&W Companion Slider Hitch Adapter Fit in a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?- Video
Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500, we're gonna be checking out the B&W Companion Sliding Type 5th Wheel Hitch. Right away, the Companion is designed to work with the B&W underbed hitches and the way that you'd set this up is you would remove the goose ball that comes with your underbed hitch out from it, and then on the bottom of the Companion, there's gonna be a shank just like this, which will allow you to drop this down into the hitch, lock it down, and now you'll have a 5th wheel to work with. Personally, I'm a big fan of the underbed hitches made by BMW, not only because you can use your goose ball and have the ability to take a 5th wheel hitch like the Companion, drop it in real quick and tow that type of trailer. But I also like 'em because in order to use most 5th wheel heads right, you'll have to install a rail kit, which takes up bed space in your bed. You know the rails are exposed, completely visible, and with the underbed hitch you just have a small little gooseneck opening that you have to deal with. more

Demco Hijacker Underbed Rail Kit Installation - 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 we'll be having a look at and installing the Demco Underbed Rail and Installation Kit from Demco Hijacker UMS 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, part number DM8551008. All right, here's what our Demco Underbed System looks like installed. As you can see, it doesn't take up any of our valuable bed space. It's completely recessed underneath the bed of our truck, and when we're ready to put in a 5th wheel or a 5th wheel slider it'll just drop in to our puck system. This almost converts our truck to almost like a factory 5th wheel or gooseneck prep package, where they have the pucks underneath the truck. Now, when we're not towing it does come with these plugs that you can snap down into place to keep any dirt and debris from entering down into the rails, making it difficult for your slider or 5th wheel to go into place. When you're ready to tow, they lift out real easily. more
