Firestone Ride-Rite Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2011 Chevrolet Silverado

Speaker 1: Today on our 2011 Chevrolet Silverado we're going to be installing Firestone's Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs, part number F2702. This is where your airbag's going to be located. It's going to be between the frame and your axle, just on the inside of your leaf spring. It has an operating range from 5-150 psi. 5 psi for unloaded and 150 psi for your maximum load, which these can support up to 7,500 pounds. Now, do keep in mind that this does not add to the carrying capacity of your vehicle, it's only there to assist it and to help level out and redistribute that load. Now, when you compare these to other suspension enhancement systems, this one's going to give you the ultimate in flexibility. more

Air Lift LoadLifter Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2011 Chevrolet Silverado

Today in our 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, we'll be having a look at and installing the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL air helper springs for the rear axle, part number AL57538. Here's what our airbags look like installed. These are simple bolt-in installation, with no modification required to our vehicle at all. These will help maintain our ride height, keeping our vehicle's suspension working as it was originally designed, making for a smoother ride, also helping with braking, stability, and turning. Just keep in mind, these aren't going to offer us additional towing capacity or additional weight-bearing capacity. They're just going to help maintain our ride height and ride quality when we have a heavy load or a heavy pin-weight trailer on our vehicle. This doubled convoluted design airbag system will support anywhere between 5 and 100 PSI of air pressure. more
