Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2021 Toyota Prius

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2021 Toyota Prius, and we're gonna be taking a look at, I'm gonna show you how to install the Draw-Tite Class One trailer hitch receiver. Now with this being a Class One trailer hitch receiver, we're gonna have an inch-and-a-quarter by inch-and-a-quarter hitch receiver tube, which is gonna be nice to haul those bike racks, cargo carriers, or even a small ball mount that will fit inside of a inch-and-a-quarter by inch-and-a-quarter hitch receiver tube. We'll have a nice large safety chain loop that'll fit different safety chains of many different sizes. You can see there we've got both on there so it'll fit a lot bigger one. You just wanna be sure that when you're towing a trailer, that you got those safety chain loops hooked up. more

Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Toyota Prius

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Class 1 Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2015 Toyota Prius. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Prius and it is an exposed cross tube meaning you can see the majority of the hitch below the fascia, but really this car is fairly low so unless you're directly behind it you're really not gonna see much except for the receiver tube opening and the safety chain loops. Now this one being an 1-1/4 means that you are gonna be a little bit limited when it comes to bike racks, cargo carriers, or ball mounts because it is a Class 1. That's kind of the nature of it. I have one on my own vehicle and it hasn't stopped me from putting cargo carriers or bike racks so don't let that deter you as there's not really a whole lot of other options for this vehicle. Now all of your accessories are gonna stay in place with a 1/2 inch pin and clip. more

EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2018 Toyota Prius

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2018 Toyota Prius. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Prius and it is a hidden cross tube. This one bolts up behind the bumper beam so you got a nice clean look and the only thing that's gonna be visible from outside of the vehicle is gonna be the 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening and also the plate style safety chain loops. And that's something that's interesting about this hitch. This car generally has 1-1/4 of a Class 1 hitch so the availability for a 2 inch is really nice. Now you're not really gonna get a ton of different capacities as far as trying to tow more or haul more, but having a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening opens up the window to a bunch of different bike racks and cargo carriers that you might previously be limited with an 1-1/4. more

Hey, everybody. Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2022 Toyota Prius, we're gonna be showing you how to install the EcoHitch trailer hitch receiver. But before we do that, why don't we check it out and make sure it's gonna be the right hitch for you Even though the Prius is more of a compact-type car, it doesn't mean you can't use it to do a lot of different things. And it seems like a lot of Prius owners out there like to use bike racks, maybe cargo carriers when you're going on a trip. Or even pulling around some light trailers, you know, maybe a kayak trailer, something along them lines. more

And so if you're someone that you know, wants to take your bike out, or maybe use a small cargo carrier on a road trip or something like that, A trailer hitch is almost a must have in my opinion. You know, this is gonna allow you to use that bike rack or that cargo carrier, keep everything out here and free up all that extra space on the inside of the vehicle. more

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2011 Toyota Prius, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite sport frame trailer hitch receiver. How's it going, everybody Brian here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2017 Toyota Prius, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Curt and treen-quarter trailer hitch receiver. More often than not, many of our Prius customers plan on using their hitch to carry their bike rack, maybe a light cargo carrier, or even that occasional very light duty towing. So not only is a hitch not going to take away from the looks of the back of your Toyota, since it is pretty much hidden, only thing you're going to be able to see is the receiver tube opening, but it's going to work perfect for those folding accessories, because it's going to give us really good clearance. The end of our receiver tube, it's going to be pretty much flush with the edge of our bumper. And the hitch is going to have a nice reinforced collar and that'll help add some extra strength. And since this is a class one, it's going to have the inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter opening. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Toyota Prius- Video

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Toyota Prius

Today we are going to install part number 11468 from Curt and we are installing this on a 2007 Toyota Prius. First thing we need to do is take down this shield right here. This will come off and the hitch will go in the place where this tie down hook is. Once we take this shield off we can unbolt this hook and there is another hook on the passenger side that we need to take off also. The first thing we need to do is take down this shield here for now. We will end up trimming it when we put the hitch back up. Alright, next we will want to take down the tie down bracket. Now go do the same thing for the other side. Next we can go ahead and install the hitch onto the vehicle and you can actually put the passenger side over the exhaust and let you help hold it up while you do the driver side first. Once you have the hitch held up by a couple bolts, it is a good idea to go ahead and snug down the bolts to help you line up the hitch with the rest of the holes. Alright once you get your holes lined up, you will have to move around the hitch a little bit and get your last bolt on this side started. Go ahead and snug it up and then go back and do the remaining one on the driver side. more
