Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2024 Kia Sportage, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver. Let's check it out for a minute first, so, and make sure it's gonna work for you. With the Kia Sportage, pretty popular little SUV and you see people doing a lot of stuff with these, you know, a lot of accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers, at least from what I see, but also people pulling some small trailers around and if that's something that you plan on doing, a hitch is really gonna help to open up your opportunities and allow you to get that job done. I do like how the hitch is going to look on the back of the Sportage. It's gonna be completely hidden for the most part really you're just gonna be able to see the receiver tube opening and matter of fact, you know, that's how the other hitches available are going to look as well. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the etrailer trailer hitch receiver on a 2023 Kia Sportage. And this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Sportage. And it's really nice because it's a hidden cross tube, meaning that the only thing that you're gonna see underneath the vehicle is gonna be the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. And this is a great size, it's a standard across the board. You're gonna have tons of options when it comes to accessories, whether it be for a bike rack, cargo carrier, or even a ball mount. And all of them are gonna stay in place with a five eights pin and clip. more

Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Kia Sportage

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2023 Kia Sportage and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Curt Class III two inch hitch receiver. Now the biggest reason why people will add a hitch receiver to their vehicle is typically, especially on the Kia Sportage, is typically to add an accessory, whether it's a bike rack, a cargo carrier, some other accessories. You can also add a ball mount to it and pull a small trailer. Now if you decide to go with that, or if that's why you're getting a hitch, you'll wanna get four pole wiring to go with it so you can safely let others know what you're doing by sending the lighting signals from your vehicle to your trailer. The two inch by two inch opening is gonna give you a lot of different options for hitch-mounted accessories or ball mounts. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install this Draw-Tite Class Three custom fit trailer hitch receiver on our 2023 Kia Sportage. Now a Class Three hitch is going to be my preferred choice, especially for the Sportage here, because that two-inch by two-inch receiver tube opening is going to give us the widest variety of options for accessories. Whether you've got a ball mount in here, towing a small trailer, like our neighbor is today, or you're looking to install a cargo carrier or a bike rack, that two-inch by two-inch opening is going to be the most versatile and work with the most accessories. So whether you're looking at bike racks, cargo carriers, or ball mounts, this should get the job done. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Kia Sportage

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2021 Kia Sportage, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite class III trailer hitch receiver. So it seems like many of our Sportage customers use their SUV's to do a little bit of everything. So if it we're me, I would want a hitch that could handle, you know, pretty much anything you want to throw at it, and I think this Draw-Tite is going to do just that. So one of the big things I noticed that kind of separates this hitch from some of the others, is I think this one would be a better choice for those of you that plan on doing quite a bit of towing. Now that's not to say that this won't work well with hitch-mounted accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier, because it will. more

Now let's go ahead with the installation, Before we install our hitch let's go ahead and point out our attachment point. Here at the rear of the frame on either side of the muffler are 2 weld nuts. These 2 will be our attachment poinst for the driver side and there will be 2 identical on the passenger side, but before we put the hitch in place we're going to want to clean them out using a little spray lubricant. We can spray the hole then I'll use a half-inch nylon toothbrush part number 814092 and thoroughly clean out the threads, the older the vehicle is the more chance you have of dirt, rust, and buildup inside the threads. Before I go and try to install the hitch after I cleaned them out I also take my new hardware just to make sure its going to easily thread up into the weld nut. As you can see we got that one already cleaned out. I'll go ahead and repeat the same process for the other 3 attachment points. more
