Hey, everybody. Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2017 Honda Fit, we're gonna be showing you how to install the CURT Trailer Hitch Receiver. But before we do that, why don't we just take a minute, check this out, and make sure it's gonna work for you. With the Honda Fit, surprisingly, you know, can actually get a lot of stuff on the inside of it, but personally I could see that kinda getting annoying sometimes, especially if you're out trying to ride bikes, and do things like that. And that's what seems to be pretty popular when it comes to putting a hitch on your Honda. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Honda Fit- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over, and showing you how to install, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver here on our 2018 Honda Fit. So, this is what our trailer hitch is gonna look like installed on our vehicle here. As we can see, mostly recessed behind the bumper here, and everything that we can see has a nice black powder coated finish, which is gonna help it blend in well to the underside of the vehicle. It's also gonna help protect the hitch from rust and corrosion over time, being that it is gonna be subjected to the elements on the outside here. So, adding a trailer hitch to your Honda Fit here, it's gonna be an excellent option, because it's gonna make your vehicle that much more versatile. Now, we can use this to tow a small trailer, but some other things we can use this for, that you may not be aware of, if we wanna free up some space inside the vehicle for the long road trip with the family, or if we just simply wanna hit the trails, we can easily attack either a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, or a hitch-mounted bike rack. more

Today on your 2019 Honda Fit, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Draw-Tite's class one, one and a quarter inch trailer hitch receiver.This is what your hitch is going to look like when it's installed. The cross tube is going to be visible underneath the vehicle, but it's tucked back really far, so for the most part you only really see the receiver here at the back.It's a class one, one and a quarter, by one and a quarter receiver, so it's going to be great for light duty uses such as a bike rack or maybe a very small trailer that you might use to maybe take your garbage pails up to the dumpster or something. It uses a half inch hitch pin and clip. Now one doesn't come included with the hitch, but you can pick one up here at etrailer.com.It also features plate style safety chain loops, with a very large opening that should accommodate most safety chains. It features a 200 pound tongue weight, and that's the force going down on top of the receiver. And that should be plenty for a bike rack loaded up with two bikes and if they're lighter bikes you could get three, maybe four bikes on there. more

This is what your hitch is going to look like when it's installed. The cross tube is going to be visible but it's tucked back pretty nicely up underneath the vehicle, you're really only going to notice the receiver for the most part.It's a Class I 1-1/4 by 1-1/4 receiver, it's going to be great for accessories such as bike racks and also for very light duty towing. It uses a 5/8 inch hitch pin and clip. Now one doesn't come included with the hitch, but you can pick one up here at etrailer.com. It's a smaller hitch, so it hides well. But it is gonna be below the vehicle, and it is gonna be noticeable. It has a square tube design that's gonna be rigid, and also look nice. It's custom designed for your Honda Fit. It's gonna curve right around your exhaust, and bolt right up without any drilling or welding required.It's a Class 1 hitch with a 1 and 1/4 inch receiving tube. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2009 Honda Fit we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt class one trailer hitch receiver, part number C11064.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed, cross tube is visible with this hitch. However, the hitch does sit nice and tucked in underneath the bumper fascia, so you're not gonna have to worry about hitting your legs or shins on it when loading and unloading the vehicle. It's gonna be a class one, it's gonna be an inch and a quarter by an inch and a quarter. Your hitch pin hole is gonna be half inch in diameter, so you're gonna see it's gonna have a reinforced collar to give you a little extra stability on your receiver tube. It's gonna have a ring style safety chain loops, give you plenty of room for different types of safety chain hooks.As you can see, it also comes with a hitch pin and clip. You're gonna have a 200-pound max tongue weight, which is the downward pressure on the inside of the receiver tube. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2009 Honda Fit - Draw-Tite- Video
Today, on our 2009 Honda Fit, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Draw-Tite Custom Fit Class II Note, this is a Class I hitch, not Class II 00:00:07 trailer hitch receiver. Its part number is 24826. Okay, this is what our hitch looks like installed. You'll see our cross tube meets here in the middle at our 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver tube opening. This is a Class I rated hitch, so this hitch is going to work out well for us when it comes to your smaller cargo carriers, small bike carriers, or even the light-duty trailers. To secure all of our items in place, we're going to use the 1/2" diameter pinhole here on the side. You want to be sure you use Class I rated accessories, but no matter which one you would pick, whether it would be an anti-rattle bolt, maybe a locking hitch pin, or a regular hitch pin and clip, should be plenty of room to make that work. You can see our safety-chain connection points here, kind of a rounded steel-stock material. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Honda Fit - Curt- Video
Today on our 2016 Honda Fit we're going to be taking a look at and installing the CURT class one trailer hitch receiver, part number C11406. This is what the hitch looks like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, it still maintains a pretty clean look underneath the vehicle, doesn't really take away from it at all. Here you can also see that it should give us plenty of clearance for any bike racks or cargo carriers that we may want to mount to this, because it comes close but not all the way out to the rear of the bumper. Here we've got the 1/2" hitch pinhole in order to secure anything that we may put into our receiver tube. We've got the flat plate-style safety chain loops with the cutout holes in them. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Honda Fit - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2015 Honda Fit we're going to review and install the Draw-Tite class one 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number 24920. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. We've got our nice stylish round crosstube design. It brings into our fully welded construction and a nice black powder-coated finish. On either side of our receiver tube is our chain hold down, and our pre-drilled 1/2" pinhole. This receiver tube is a 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" class one. more

Today on our 2015 Honda Fit, we are going to review and install the Curt Class I, 1 1/4" receiver tube hitch, Part No. C11-406. Here is what our hitch is going to look like once installed. It has a nice stylish round cross tube that is tucked up underneath the under-body panel nicely. It is a fully steel welded construction and a real nice black powder coated finish. Each side of the receiver tube we will find our chain hold-downs. All the way through the receiver tube will be the 1/2" pre-drilled hole for a pin and clip. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Honda Fit - Draw-Tite- Video
All right today, on this 2010 Honda Fit, we're going to install part number 24826 from Draw-Tite. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on the Honda Fit. Next, we'll go ahead and give you some measurements to help you in selecting some accessories such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From top of your receiver opening, down to the ground, will be about 9-1/2 inches and from center of the hitch-pin hold to the edge of the bumper will be about 4 inches. Now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch in installed. The first thing we do is go ahead and get our vehicle ready to install the hitch. Now here on the driver's side, this tab has to be removed. Let's go ahead and make a mark, basically go along the ridge here of the plastic and we'll just cut it out. Now to remove the rivet, we will use a flat-plate screwdriver, just pop out the center. Work the rivet out and then we'll pull down on our plastic a little bit and we'll just go ahead and cut it out. more

Here are a few measurements to help you choose some accessories, such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the ground to the top of the opening on the hitch is approximately 10". From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper is approximately 3". Now we'll go ahead with the install. more
