Today on our 2011 Chevrolet Aveo well be installing Curt Hitch part number 11331.Before we start with our install here are a few measurements. These measurements will help you when selecting accessories such as a cargo carrier or bike rack. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 11 inches. And from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most part of the bumper is 5 and 1/2 inches. Now well go ahead with our install.Now to begin our installation well remove the spare tire trunk insert. Once weve removed the insert we can locate the 2 body plugs at the rear of the trunk that well need to remove. more

Today were working on a 2010 Chevy Aveo.Were gonna install a Kurt Hitch part number 11331.Here are a couple of measurements that will assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the pin hole to the outermost part of the bumper is 5 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 13 inches. Now lets go ahead with the installation.First we need to gain access to the trunk of the vehicle. With access to the trunk, were gonna need to remove the rear threshold. Weve got two plastic fasteners, well do this first. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Chevrolet Aveo- Video
The first thing that needs to be done the trunk liner needs to be taken so we can have access to the rear panel inside the trunk. Next we take apart two rubber plugs that in the back end of the trunk here and they pull out with a pair of pliers. Next well install the hitch on the tow loop to hold it in position so we can get the other two bolts in. After we remove the plugs, we install some silicone sealant around the holes to keep the engine exhaust from coming into the cabin and then well put the bolts in. After you get the first bolt in, you may want to put a nut on it to keep the rest of the hitch from moving around while you work on the last one. The last thing that needs to be done is just tighten the bolts up since you have the hitch in final position. Once you have the hitch bolts snugged down, give them their final torquing. That concludes this installation. more
