This is gonna be a slip-on towing mirror. So, what this means is it's gonna slide over your existing towing mirror and attach with this clamp here. Just one clamp that you tighten down, it holds it in place. I can shake the mirror back and forth and you can see there's no rattling or movement from the separate added on mirror. more

Now here I am at the back of my trailer and you clearly see me in my factory mirror, but if I step away you lose track of me, but that's where our towing mirror comes into play. Now this is going to benefit us whether we're driving the highway and we need to change lanes, backing our trailer up or even pulling up to the campgrounds. Now our towing mirror's going to have full adjustability. We're going to be able to adjust it up and down as well as left and right, and even turn the mirror sideways for a more wide angle view. If we come to this knob here, we can loosen it up and our mirror will actually extend out, giving us that much more adjustability being able to see safely what's behind us. Even though our mirror's going to mount to our factory mirror, we're not going to lose any adjustment. We're still going to be to adjust our mirror up and down, left and right, and being able to safely see what's behind us. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Colorado we're going to be taking a look at the K-Source Universal Towing Mirror, part number KS3891. Now if I come to the back of the trailer here you can see in the factory mirror that you can still see me here, but when you're going to change lanes, passing, or maybe backing your trailer up, that's where our towing mirror's going to come into play. Because if I step aside a few feet you can see you lose track of me in the factory mirror, but you can still clearly see me in the towing mirror. Now this mirror's going to be great for towing, making sure that you can see around you when you're turning, or parking. Now one of the nice features of this mirror is it is a temporary mirror, but you're not going to lose any functions of your factory glass. You're still going to be able to have your side to side movement, as well as your up and down, as well as still being able to fold your mirror in and not have to lose that option. Now the towing mirror itself does adjust so you can have side to side action, as well as up and down, and if you remove the screw in the back you can actually pull the mirror straight out and have it turned this way for a different angle as well. Now here on the back part of the mirror our straps are rubber coated, and we have a pad here that's going to make contact with our mirror so we don't have to worry about any scratches our abrasions. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, we're going to be taking a look at the CIPA Dual-View Clip-On Towing Mirror, part number 11953. If I come to the back of our trailer here, you can clearly see me in the factory mirror, but when we go to turn, change lanes, or possibly back our trailer up, we're going to lose sight if I take a few steps this way. That's where our towing mirror is going to come into play as you can clearly see me in the towing mirror, so this is going to give you a wide angle of view to make sure you're not going to hit anything and you have a nice clear view. Now, these are a dual-view mirror because the large section here is going to give you more of a straightforward and real-life perception of what's behind you, whereas the smaller mirror is a convex shape mirror, so it's going to act more like a spot mirror. The nice thing about these mirrors are is that you're not going to lose any adjustment in your factory mirror. You're still going to have the up and down, side to side, and the diagonal, so you're not going to lose any movement. Now, another thing is nice is even though we have this towing mirror attached to our factory mirror, we still can fold our mirrors. In case we get into a close quarter situation, we're not going have to worry about taking the tow mirrors off. Now, the mirror back here on the back side, these turn knobs here. more

It allows you to fully see your trailer behind you and be aware of what's going on when you need to make necessary lane changes. It will also help you when backing up your trailer or hooking up to it. Some customers have said that this mirror has a little bit of vibration when going down the road. more

CIPA Clip-on Towing Mirror Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Colorado- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, we'll be having a look at the CIPA clip-on towing mirror, part number 7070. We have a five inch by seven and a half inch mirror that's fully adjustable by a ball and socket joint on the mirror. It's a- clips on to our mirror very nicely. We got two hooks on the bottom, two hooks on the top, and then a strap that wraps around and ratchets into place to secure it. As you can see, it holds our mirror on very nicely. One nice thing about this mirror, is if we need to fold in our factory mirrors, we can still do that with it attached. Being able to fold in our mirrors is a nice feature because if we need to go through a drive through or go to an ATM and pull up close to something, we can still do that without worrying about damaging our tow mirror or our factory mirror. more
