So this is going to be a ladder pattern style chain. We are going to have some square shape to our links here, and they're all going to be symmetrical, all the same size, about seven millimeters thick. So this is going to be pretty much a more aggressive chain, just because of the sheer size of it. more

So these chains are going to have a dual sided D-link shape to them and they're all going to be made of a high quality manganese alloy steel. Also as you can see, if you compare them to just lantern pattern, look at all this more surface area that we have. We have cross chains here and also we have a diamond pattern as well.Always a plus for me and on top of that, it's just going to think about your actual wheel. We have our coated chains here, just in case they do make contact with our rim here. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chain on our 2019 Toyota Tacoma.This is going to be a roller-style chain, so it's going to give you the smoother ride compared to some of those other ladder pattern styles or even just the D-links or V-bar shapes. Not too aggressive, but it is going to get the job done in the lighter conditions. Light snow is probably where these things are going to shine, but we do have more than just a ladder pattern. It's going to be an actual diagonal cross here, and we're just going to get a lot more traction and just at different angles. more

So these chains are going to be made of a manganese nickel alloy steel so they are going to last a long time, wear relatively evenly and resist against that salt that might be on the road whenever you are in a snowy situation. But what really sets these apart from most is just, obviously, the just design of it. The fact that we can actually just slip these over, put something over our lug nut, tighten it down and then roll over it and it's actually going to self-center and self-tighten, which is always a plus for me.Another thing is we're just going to have a lot of different traction here. more

Taking a look here, I'd like to start off by pointing out that you want to look at the tire size and you can find it on the side wall of your tire, and look at our fit guide here at etrailer.com to make sure you're checking out tire chains that are going to fit your tire. It's also worth noting that you're going to want to look in your owner's manual and make sure that you follow any rules or instructions that they have in there as far as install goes or whether you need to install them on the back or the front. These chains here, they feature a twist link. It's going to be more durable and it's going to be a better fit for snow and ice than like the cables will work. It's going to be a little more middle of the road.These little more rugged. more

So it's got a cable here, but a cable that goes across the tire in a ladder pattern here. more

Glacier Twist Link Chains for Dual Tires w/ Cam Tensioners Installation - 2019 Toyota Tacoma- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Glacier Chain's Twist Link Snow Tire Chain with Cam Tensioners on our 2019 Toyota Tacoma.This is going to be a ladder pattern style chain so you're not going to have as much surface area of your chain on your tires as some of those diamond patterns, but we do have this twist link which is going to give you a little bit more aggressive fit and traction compared to some of those just flat D-links. Also, it is going to be made of a low carbon steel, so it's going to resist against rust and corrosion. As you can see here, it's pretty symmetrical so they're going to wear away very, very evenly, so you don't have to worry about that. This isn't going to be the best ride quality, but compared to some of the more aggressive ones, it will be a little bit smoother. more
