Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars Installation - 2020 Subaru Forester- Video

It's Evangeline from etrailer.com, and today we are looking at our Thule roof rack with WingBar Evo crossbars and Evo raised rail towers, here on our 2020 Subaru Forester.Our Forester here has these raised rails. So, these Evo raised rail towers just clamp around them, and it was really easy to install. You just put it on there and you just tighten it down, which is a really nice feature about them. They also have these caps, and you can replace the cores on the caps with locked cores so you can lock your roof rack to your car.Our Forester has this glass roof up here for the sunroof. So, what I like about how this roof rack works together is that it latches onto the rails and goes over the roof so you don't have any weight on your glass roof and you still have access to your sunroof, which is great.As for measurements, your clearance between your roof and the bottom of the rails is four inches. So, that's plenty of space for your clamps, for your accessories to clamp around your WingBars. more

Yakima Roof Rack Installation - 2020 Subaru Forester- Video
Evangeline: Hi, it's Evangeline from etralier.com, and today we are looking at our Yakima roof rack with JetStream crossbars and TimberLine towers here on our 2020 Subaru Forester. Since our Forester has these strong raised rails, these TimberLine towers are a pretty good roof rack because they just clamp onto those rails and they're very easy to install and un-install. When you install your roof rack, the Yakima recommends measuring from the back with your hatch open all the way towards the front to see the best fit for where to place it. And we have it here at about 57 inches from the hatch, and the distance apart is 31 inches, which I found was a good distance. It's up to you with the accessories you use and how you're going to use it where you want it placed, and it's very easy to move around, you just loosen it and slide it to the position on your rails you need them to be.Our Forester has this glass roof here for your sun roof, and what's nice about these bars is that they go over it since they're just attached to your rails, so that way you're not putting any weight on that glass roof. So as for measurements, let's see, for clearance from the roof itself to the bottom of your bars, it's 4-1/2", and as for overhang, we have 50 inch bars, and you have an overhang from the end of the towers to the end of the bars of 2-1/4". more

So today on our 2019 Subaru Forester, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Yakima RailBar roof rack system. I've already got it in place just to give you a good idea of what it looks like. With this system, it's going to allow us to carry roof-mounted accessories, things like bike racks, kayak carriers, cargo boxes, and more. Now the crossbars are going to offer us about 32" of usable space, so we'll be able to carry not one bike rack, but maybe two or three bike racks, or even two kayaks up there. It's also available in 58-inch long cross bars, using part number MGP216, and 65-inch long cross bars, using MGP217.Our Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack System is going to allow us to free up space inside of our Forester, making more room for passengers and pets. Whether it be a bike rack, a kayak carrier, or even a cargo box for some elongated gear, it's gonna free up that space inside, and allow us to mount it up top.Our Malone AirFlow2 is going to be one of the easiest arrow bar roof rack systems to put on out of the box. It's gonna come with those included lock cores and it's going to have a lot of the same features that a lot of the higher-end roof rack systems have. These are the 50 inch long bars and they wrap around your factory raised side rails. The Malone Airflow Roof Rack System is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your vehicle.The bars have an aerodynamic shape to them and that coupled with the rubber strip at the top, as well as the one that you would cut to length that goes underneath. That's gonna cut down the wind noise and drag while you're driving, eliminating the need for fairings which is what you would have with your round and square bars.Also, what sets us apart from the others, we have this latch that opens up at the end. You can use T-Track accessories with this but instead of having to remove the rubber strip to install them, you simply push down the rubber strip and install your accessory. These are very easy to install, they simply clamp around your existing factory raised side rail. more

Thule AeroBlade Podium Roof Rack Installation - 2009 Subaru Forester- Video
Today on our 2009 Subaru Forester we'll be test fitting the rapid podium roof rack system from Thule using part numbers THARB47, TH460R, and THKIT3079. With our roof rack assembled according to the instructions, we'll begin our test fit by removing the covers for our fixed points. These covers don't actually fully remove, they just flip up. We can then insert our bolts to each hole, making sure we tighten them down with the allen key. Then we'll go ahead and put our spacer slider over top each bolt. Now we'll grab our front bar and place it on the front part of our roof. We'll want to make sure that the bolts go through the hole in the center of our foot pack. Now we'll want to check to make sure that we have even bar overhang on each side. We'll use an allen key to tighten the two bolts on our foot pack to secure it in position where it is on the bar. We'll do this for both sides. more

Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Rack Installation - 2009 Subaru Forester- Video
Today on our 2009 Subaru Forester, we'll be test fitting the Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Rack system using Part Numbers TH7502-TH7502. We'll begin our test fit by placing our first bar onto the front of our roof. There's a crease in which we will set up our next tube, which will ensure our bar is perpendicular to the raised side rails. With this done, we can take the rubber coated steel straps on number three and insert it into the bottom portion of the blade. We'll then wrap the strap around the raised side rail bringing it back up into the holes of the strap, placing it into the holes of the top portion of the blade. We'll then do this on both sides and using the tensioning tool to turn the black bolt to bring the straps up around tightly against the rail. more

Today on our 2013 Subaru Forester we'll be test fitting the Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Rack for Raised, Factory Side Rails, part numbers TH7502-TH7502. With our roof rack system assembled according to the instructions, we'll begin by placing our front bar onto the front part of our roof. Once we have our front bar onto the front part of our roof, we'll fit it onto our side rail. We'll grab out strap and the size of the rail will depend on what number we set our strap on; we're going to be using number three, so we'll slide that third hole onto the hook inside the foot pack, set it back down onto our side rail, bring our strap around and over top our side rail, fit in the two holes on the strap around the two mounts on the foot pack. We'll do this for both sides of the load bar. Then we'll find a fixed point on our side rail to measure from to ensure that our foot packs are in line with each other. more

Today on our 2013 Subaru Forester well be test fitting the Thule Square Load Bars Roof Rack System using the 50-inch bars, part number thlb50, and the Thule Crossroad Roof Mounted Roof Railing Foot Pack, part number th450. With a factory side rail system on our vehicle, well begin by placing our first bar directly onto the front part of our roof. Well set the foot packs on top of the side bars and make sure that the arrow indicator on each foot pack is in line with the center of the side rail. To ensure that our foot packs at the front are in line with each other, well pick a fixed point on the side rails and measure to the center of the foot pack. Well do this on both sides of the vehicle. Well fit the rubber-coated steel strap around the side rail back into the foot pack. more

With our roof rack system assembled according to the instructions, well begin by placing our front bar onto the front part of our roof. We want to make sure that the arrow indicator on each foot pack is in line with the center of the side rail. Well bring the rubber-coated steel strap around the underside of the side rail fitting it back into the foot pack. Then well tighten the Allen bolt using the included Allen key. Once we have it tight we can then slide our tool back into the foot pack. more
