Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2024 Kia Telluride- Video
Hi, Matt with Etrailer, and today we're talking about the Thule XT Motion roof box on top of our 2024 Kia Telluride. Now, this is gonna be especially a great option for you because this is a really big roof box, and this is gonna offer you a lot of storage, especially since the Kia doesn't, or the Kia Telluride doesn't have a whole lot of space in the back, because really you're gonna have room for people sitting in the back, and then that very back hatch area is only gonna be maybe a foot or two of space. So if you do plan on taking any longer trips, this is gonna be a great way to carry your gear or luggage from point A to point B. Today we're really just gonna be talking about how this is gonna look on top of your vehicle and how it's gonna interact with either your hatch or just in general using it. Now, we will talk a little bit about the specs and at the very end I'm gonna give a comparison just to some other options out there. How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Yakima 16 Cubic Foot SkyBox NX on our 2022 Kia Sorento. Adding a cargo box is the solution to the problem of how are you gonna be able to increase your cargo area if you have a full house on the inside of the vehicle. So if your Sorento has the third row like this model here, you know with that back row flipped up, you have practically no cargo area and this is gonna allow you to compensate for that, 'cause otherwise your roof would be bare and it doesn't have any space so you're making use of some useless area. The standout feature on the SkyBox NX is the nano finish that is scratch resistant and also pretty sharp looking on top of your vehicle. It's built to basically conceal any scratches or abrasions that may come up on the surface. The box itself is pretty large. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 rooftop box and seeing how it fits on the top of our 2024 Kia Telluride. So the NX 16 is a 16 cubic foot roof box and offer a pretty good amount of storage for the top of your Telluride. Now as we're looking at this, just keep in mind that there is a larger version available, an 18 cubic foot version of this box. So if you like the way it looks and the way it functions, but you need more space, that 18 cubic foot version would be a good fit for the Telluride too. But a roof box is a great way to add storage to your vehicle, whether the back is full of passengers and you need somewhere to put their stuff, or maybe you just have some messier stuff that you want to keep out of the vehicle. more

Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, I have the Yakima CBX 18 Rooftop Cargo Box, and we're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2023 Kia Seltos. For your Seltos, if you want a little bit more cargo capacity, maybe you're going on a long trip, you have your friends in your car, but you also have maxed out the space in the hatch, well, you can get a rooftop cargo box to help out with that. It's gonna be an enclosed cargo carrier, which means it protects your cargo from the outside elements. And with this fitting on the Seltos, I do have the 18 cubic feet box, it actually does fit, meaning you can still open up your hatch and it doesn't cover up your window. Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we'll be taking a look at the Malone Cargo 16 Rooftop Cargo Box right here on our 2017 Kia Forte5. Your Forte5 is a cute little hatchback with a lot of soul. It can do a lot of stuff and get those good speeds, but did you know you can also get a roof rack and even a roof box on it My friend here owns this car, and he and his wife went out camping, and he was saying it would've been nice if they had a rooftop cargo box for their extra gear. So this is probably the maximum size I would recommend for the Forte5. You can see where I position it just enough where it just hits the antenna, but we still have space to open up our hatch. There's definitely a clearance right over there, you may have to fit around or play around with your fit to get that clearance, but now, your hatch is open for your larger, heavier, bulkier items. more

Today, on our 2014 Kia Cadenza, we'll be test fitting the Rhino Rack Master Fit Rooftop Cargo Box with 14 cubic feet of space, silver in color, part #rmf400. With the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo box up onto the vehicle's load bars. Today on our 2013 Kia Optima, we'll be test-fitting the Yakima Rocketbox Pro 11 rooftop cargo box, measuring 11 cubic feet in black, part number Y07193. With the Yakima round bar roof rack system assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Rocketbox directly onto our crossbars. With the feet attached to the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around our crossbars. With the box situated the way we like, we can move the key to the unlock position, push the red button, and open the lid of our box. With the feet hanging out at the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around our load bars. Once we have the box set, we can then open the passenger side of the box and tighten the hand knobs to secure the two feet on this side of the box around the bars. When you hear a clicking or ratcheting sound, that means that your clamp is tight around your bar. Another great feature of the Thule Sonic is its ability to open from either side of the vehicle. We'll move to the driver's side, open the box, and tighten the two remaining hand knobs. more

Today on our 2014 Kia Sorento well be test fitting the Yakima RocketBox Pro11 roof top cargo box, part number Y07193. Well begin our test fit by placing the cargo box onto the vehicles cross bars. Well unlock the box and open the lid exposing the four black knobs and the four red T handles. We can loosen up the black knobs to adjust the clamps to fit the cross bar spread of the vehicle and slide the box onto the cross bars. We can then secure the black knobs, secure the claws in place then we can turn the red T handles to bring the clamps tightly up against the crossbars.One great feature of the Yakima RocketBox is its ability to open from both sides. Today on our 2014 Kia Sorento we'll be test fitting the Thule Sonic Medium Rooftop Cargo Box, part number th634b. We'll begin our test fit by first placing the cargo box onto the vehicle's load bars. After positioning the clamps to fit over the crossbars we can unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. We'll then turn the knobs to bring the clamps up around tightly against each bar.You'll know when the clamps have been fully tightened down when the knobs start to make a ratcheting sound. We can then close the lid using the included pull down strap to assist us. After moving to the other side of the vehicle we can again unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. more

Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2014 Kia Sorento- Video
Today on our 2014 Kia Sorento we'll be test fitting the Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box, part number th613. We'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo box onto the vehicle's crossbars. We'll unlock the box and open the lid exposing the four slots in the bottom of the box. Now this box does open from only one side so we'll need to position the box on the passenger side.We'll take the clamps and slide them down through the slots over top of each bar. We'll then turn the knobs to bring the clamps up around tightly against the bars securing the box to the vehicle. Now as you can see with the box secured we can easily access the rear hatch. more

Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2014 Kia Sorento- Video
Today on our 2014 Kia Sorento we'll be test fitting the Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box, part number th615. We'll begin our test fit by placing the vehicle's crossbars. We'll unlock the box and open the lid exposing four slots in the bottom of the box. We'll take the clamps and slide them down through the slots over top of each bar.We can then turn the knobs to bring the clamps up around tightly against each bar. Now remember when positioning the box to fit on the load bars it does only open from one side so we need to position it on the passenger side of the vehicle. Now with everything all tightened down and secured you can see that we can easily access the rear hatch with the Thule Pulse secured.That will complete today's test fit for the Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box, part number th615 on our 2014 Kia Sorento. more

Today on our 2014 Kia Sorento we'll be test fitting the Thule Force Double XL Rooftop Cargo Box, part number th626. We'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo box onto the vehicle's crossbars. After positioning the clamps to fit over the crossbars we can unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs.We can then turn the knobs to bring the clamps up around tightly against each bar. We'll then move to the other side of the vehicle where we can again unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. Know this double sided opening lid also enables you to easily load and unload your cargo from either side of the vehicle.Now with everything all tightened down and secured you can see that we can easily access the rear hatch of our Sorento with Thule Force secured. Today on our 2010 Kia Forte Koup well be test fitting the Yakima RocketBox Pro roof top cargo box, 14 cubic feet and black, part number Y07192. With the Yakima Round Bar roof rack system assembled onto our vehicle well begin by placing our RocketBox directly onto our crossbars. Well want to make sure that the clamps on the underside are open. For an easier installation go ahead and measure the distance between each crossbar and then set your feet accordingly. That way when you load it on top of your crossbars your feet are already set to the appropriate distance. In this case well need to readjust our feet since our distance does not match up. more

Today on our 2010 Kia Forte Koup well be test fitting the Yakima Rocketbox Pro Rooftop Cargo Box 11 cubic feet in black, part number y07193. With a Yakima Round Bar Roof Rack System assembled onto our vehicle, well begin by placing our Rocketbox directly on to our crossbars. For an easier installation I recommend that you measure the distance between your crossbars and go ahead and set your feet on the Rocketbox accordingly. In this case, our feet our offset so were going to go ahead and show you how to adjust your feet if needed. Please be aware that you may or may not need to remove your antenna depending on where you place your Rocketbox onto your roof rack. In this case, we needed to remove our rear antenna. more

Today on our 2013 Kia Soul, we'll be test-fitting the Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box, Part number TH636s.We'll begin our test-fit by placing the cargo box onto our vehicle's load bars. After positioning the clamps around the load bars, we'll unlock the box and open the lid, exposing the four knobs. We can then tighten down the two knobs closest to us. We'll then close the lid and lock the box. Reason for doing this is because one of the great features of the Sonic XXL is its ability to open from both sides.We can open the side of the box on the driver's side and tighten down the two knobs closest to you. This feature allows you to easily load and unload cargo from either side of the vehicle, and also helps when you're installing it onto your load bars. more

Today on our 2013 Kia Soul, we'll be test-fitting the Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box, Part number TH613.We'll begin our test-fit by placing the cargo box onto the vehicle's load bars. We'll unlock the box and open the lid, exposing the four clamps and the four rubber channels. After positioning the box where we want, we'll slide the clamps over the load bars, turning the knobs to adjust the claws tightly against the load bars. We'll do this for all four of the clamps. Once they're all tightened down and secured, we can close the box and lock it. As you can see, with the Thule Pulse Alpine secured to our Kia Soul, we can have full access to the rear hatch of our vehicle.That completes today's test-fit for the Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box, Part number TH613 on our 2013 Kia Soul.. more

Yakima RocketBox Pro 11 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2013 Kia Sorento- Video
Today on our 2013 Kia Sorento, well be test fitting the Yakima Rocketbox Pro 11 Rooftop Cargo Box measuring 11 cubic feet in black, part number Y07193. Now our vehicles already equipped with the Yakima RailGrab Roof Rack System and weve already gone ahead and preassembled our Rocketbox, so were ready to fit it to the vehicle. Well simply place our Rocketbox on top of our crossbars, making sure that the clamps are just in front of the crossbars themselves. Well then open up the clamps where we can then slide the box backward toward the rear of the vehicle allowing the clamps to engage on the bars. Well then open the lid where we can tighten the red knobs securing our box to the roof. With all four knobs tight, our Rocketbox is on and were ready to load it up. more
