Rola Dart Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 GMC Terrain

Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain we're going to be test fitting the 23x56 Rola Dart Folding Cargo Carrier for 2" hitches. With a 450 pound weight capacity, it's part number 59550. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tighten it down with a wrench, and then we can secure it with the provided clip. In this position we'll have about 12-1/4" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 4" away. Overall we've added about 12" in length to the car. Pulling the large red handle on the top of the carrier will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle into the loading position. more

Surco Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 GMC Terrain

Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain, we'll be test fitting the 24x60 Surco Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches with a 500 pound weight capacity. It's part number 52018. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, we'll line up our pin holes, slide through our pin and secure it with the clip. In this position the carrier is going to offer us about 12 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the back of the vehicle is about 2 inches away and overall we've added about 27 1/2 inches to the length of the Terrain. When opening the rear hatch it's going to break over our carrier at about 16 3/4 inch mark. more

Pro Series Solo Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 GMC Terrain

Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain, we'll be test fitting the 31x47 Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches with a 400 pound weight capacity. It's part number PS1040100. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, slide through our pin and secure it with the clip. We'll have about 15 inches worth of ground clearance here at the rear of the rack. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 8 inches away and overall we've added about 40 1/4 inches to the length of the car. When opening our rear hatch it breaks over our carrier at about the 20 inch mark. more

To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, we'll line up the pin holes, slide through our pin and secure it with the clip. In this position we have about 12 inches of ground clearance here at the rear of the rack. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 5 1/4 inches away and overall we've we are adding about 28 inches to the length of the Terrain. When opening our rear hatch door it breaks over the carrier at about the 19 1/2 inch mark. more

Our carrier will provide us with about 12 inches of ground clearance here at the rear. The closest point of the carrier to the back of our vehicle is about 3 inches away and overall we've added about 22 1/2 inches to the length of our Terrain. When opening our rear hatch it breaks over our carrier at about 18 1/4 inches. more

Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain we're going to be test fitting the 19 by 60 folding CURT cargo carrier for 2" hitches. With a 500 pound weight capacity, its part number is C18100. To begin our test we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pinholes, slide through our pin, and secure it with our clip. In this position you have about 10-1/2" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle's about 1" away. Overall we've added about 6-3/4" to the length of the Terrain. Pulling the pin at the base of the carrier allows us to tilt it away from our vehicle into the loading position. more

To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. We can then secure it with the provided clip. In this position our carrier is going to offer us about 12 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the back of our vehicle is about 2 1/2 inches away and overall we've added about 22 inches to the length of our Terrain. more
