Speaker 1: Today on our 2010 Ford Escape, we are going to be installing CURT's cargo carrier for two-inch hitches. Part number C18153. This cargo carrier is going to allow you to carry more stuff in your vehicle, or take that stuff in your vehicle, put it on the back so you can fit more passengers inside.The cargo carrier is 24 inches x 60 inches so you'll be able to fit a lot of gear in there. There's plenty of tie-down points located along each rail. It has a mesh bottom which is great to allow any moisture to run out in case it rains. It will all drain and keep your stuff from sitting in a puddle of water.Constructed of steel and supports a 500 pound carrying capacity. more

Surco Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2005 Ford Escape

Today on our 2005 Ford Escape we will be test fitting the 24 by 60 Surco Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches with a 500 pound capacity part number 52018. To install the cargo carrier, we'll go ahead and take the shank and insert it into the trailer hitch. We'll line up the pin holes, slide in the pin and secure it with a clip on the other side. With the rack installed, we have about 16 inches of ground clearance. Nearest point of the basket to the rear bumper is about 4 1/2 inches and we've added roughly 30 inches to the overall length of the Escape. With the basket installed, we're ready to go. That concludes today's test fit of the 24 by 60 Surco Cargo Carrier part number 52018 on our 2005 Ford Escape. more

Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2005 Ford Escape

Today on our 2005 Ford Escape we'll be test fitting the 31 x 47 Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches with a 400 pound capacity part number PS1040100. We will start by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch. We'll line up the pin holes, insert the pin and secure it with a clip on the other side. With the rack installed we have about 18 inches of ground clearance. Roughly 10 1/2 inches from the nearest point of the car to the basket and we've added about 43 inches of overall length to our Escape. Now it is worth mentioning that the exhaust exits on the passenger side of this vehicles, and the exhaust sits about 17 1/2 inches away from the basket. When opening the rear door of our Escape it breaks about 20 inches above the basket. That concludes today's test fit of the 31 x 47 Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier part number PS1040100 on a 2005 Ford Escape. . more

Today on our 2005 Ford Escape we'll be test fitting the 20 x 47 Maxxtow Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches with a 500 pound capacity part number MT70108. To install the rack we'll go ahead and insert the shank of the rack into the trailer hitch. We'll line up the pin holes, slide in the pin and secure it with a clip on the other side. With the rack installed we have about 14 inches of ground clearance. The nearest point of the rack to the bumper is about 7 inches and we've added about 29 inches of overall length to the Escape. Now it is worth mentioning that the exhaust exits on the passenger side of this vehicles, and is about 14 inches away from the basket. When opening the rear door of the Escape it breaks about 21 inches above the basket. That'll conclude today's test of the 20 x 47 Maxxtow Cargo Carrier part number MT70108 on our 2005 Ford Escape. . more

Well start by inserting the shank of the cargo rack into the hitch. Well then line up the pin holes, insert the pin and secure it with the clip on the other side. Now with the rack installed, we have about 14 inches of ground clearance. The nearest point from the rack to the bumper is about 6 inches. Weve added roughly 25-1/2 inches of additional length to our Escape. more

Surco Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Ford Escape

Today on our 2013 Ford Escape, we'll be test fitting the Surco 24" x 60" cargo carrier, part number 52018. To mount this carrier to our vehicle, we'll insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll line up the hitch pin holes and secure the carrier with the standard 5/8" pin and clip. Now we'll go ahead and go over some clearance measurements. We've got about 10" of ground clearance here at the rear of our carrier. The closest point of our carrier to the closest point of our vehicle is about 1-1/2". more

Rola Dart Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Ford Escape

Today, on our 2013 Ford Escape, we'll be test-fitting the 23 x 56 Rola Dart Cargo Carrier with two-inch hitches, part number 59550. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank up the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pinholes, thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pinholes and tighten with a wrench. Now, we'll go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements to see how the cargo carrier and this vehicle will fit together. With the cargo carrier folded up, we have about 12 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about three and a half inches. Now, we'll go ahead and pull the red handle at the top of the carrier and tilt the carrier down. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Ford Escape

Today on our 2013 Ford Escape well be test fitting the Curt 20 by 48 cargo carrier for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number C18145. Well slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With the bolt tight, our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the closest part of the carrier to the back of the vehicle measures two inches, and the cargo carrier will add an additional 21 inches of overall length to the vehicle. Our ground clearance here at the back of the carrier measures 11 inches, and the exhaust on this vehicle does exit both the passenger as well as the drivers side here at the rear bumper. more
