Today on our 2008 Dodge Nitro well be test fitting the Surco 24 inch by 60 inch cargo carrier, part number 52018. To mount our carrier to the vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up our hitch pin hole and secure the carrier with a standard five-eighths inch pin and clip. Now well go over a hand full of clearance measurements. Weve got about 13 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the carrier. Weve got about five inches of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2008 Dodge Nitro well be test fitting the Curt 24 inch by 60 inch folding cargo carrier for two inch hitches, part number C18132. To mount our carrier to the vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up our hitch pin holes and secure the carrier with a standard five-eighths inch pin and clip. Now well go over a hand full of clearance measurements with the cargo carrier folded up. Weve got about 14 inches of ground clearance and two and a half inches of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the vehicle when folded up. Weve added about 14 inches of overall length to the rear of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2008 Dodge Nitro well be test fitting the Curt 20 inch by 48 inch cargo carrier for one and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number C18145. To mount our carrier to the vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up our hitch pin holes, thread in out anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down using a wrench. Next well go over a hand full of clearance measurements. Weve got about 14 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the cargo carrier. Weve got about five inches of clearance between the closest part of our bumper and the closest part of our carrier. more
