Today on our 2014 Toyota Sienna minivan we will be test fitting the Saris Freedom 4-bike rack for 2" hitches. It's part number SA4414B. We will start by inserting the shank of the bike rack into the receiver, lining up the pinholes, and threading the anti-rattle bolt from driver to passenger side, tightening it down with a wrench, and finishing it off with the safety clip on the other side. With the rack in this position we have about 8-1/2" of ground clearance. Our nearest point to the van is about 2-1/2". The overall length is about 18". Now we'll fold down our bike rack by pushing the gray lever at the top. more

With the bike rack secured we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 11 1/2 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about a quarter of an inch away and we've added about 10 inches to the overall length of our Toyota. We can now lift up on the gray lever at the top of the mast and swing the cradle arms out. With the cradle arms out we've added about 31 inches to the overall length of our Sienna. more

Well thread in our inside ready 00:00:12 bolts and tighten it down using a wrench. With the bike rack secured, well go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 12 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about five inches away and weve added about 13 inches to the overall length of our Toyota. We can now remove the gold pin at the top of the mast and swing our dual arms out. With the cradle arms out, weve added about 33 inches to the overall length of our Sienna. To access the rear hatch, we can pull the gold pin at the base of the bike rack and tilt the mast down. more

We can now lift up on the gray lever at the top of the mast and swing the cradle arms out. With the cradle arms out, we've added about 24 inches to the overall length of our Sienna. more

The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 7 inches away and we've added about 23 inches to the overall length of our Sienna. To lower the platform and access the rear hatch, we can pull the three black pins at the base of the bike rack to fold down the wheel trays as well as the mast. more

With the bike rack secured we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. From the back of the bike rack we have about 18 inches of ground clearance. From the lowest point of the bike rack we have about 13 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 6-1/4 of an inch away, and we've added about 40 inches to the overall length of our Sienna. To access the cargo area we'll need to pull down the two sets of three pins at the base of each part of the carrier. more

To access the cargo area, we can pull the silver pin at the base of the bike rack and tilt the mask down. As you can see, we can easily gain access to the rear hatch. more

To access the cargo area, we can pull the gray lever at the base of the bike rack and tilt the mast down. As you can see, we can easily gain access to the rear hatch. To load the bike, we'll make sure the mast is in its upright position. more

With the bike rack secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 12 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the bike rack. The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 2 inches away, and we've added about 10-1/2 inches to the overall length of our Sienna with the cradle arms folded down. We can now lift up the gray lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out, and with the cradle arms out we've added about 33 inches to the overall length of our Sienna. To access the cargo area we can lift up the gray lever at the base of the bike rack and tilt the mast down. As you can see we can easily gain access to the rear hatch. To load up a bike we'll make sure the mast is in its upright position. We'll undo the cradle straps, place our bike into the frame cradles and secure it with the straps. With the bike all loaded up that will complete today's test fit for the Thule Apex, part number TH9025 on our 2004 Toyota Sienna. . more

Softride Dura Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2004 Toyota Sienna

Today on our 2004 Toyota Sienna, we'll be test fitting the Softride Dura parallelogram tilting 4 bike rack, part number SR26247. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. We'll line up our pin holes, thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes, and tighten it with a wrench. With the bike rack secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 10 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the bike rack. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 3 inches away, and we have added about 34 inches to the overall length of our Sienna. To load a bike, we'll simply undo the cradle straps, place our bike into the frame cradles, and secure it with the straps. With our bike all loaded up, you can see that we can easily access the rear hatch of our Sienna by pulling the black T handle at the upper right hand corner of the mast and tilting the bike rack down. That will complete today's test fit for the Softride Dura parallelogram tilting 4 bike rack, part number SR26247, on our 2004 Toyota Sienna. . more

We can now pull the black pin at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out. With the cradle arms out, we've added about 27 inches to the overall length of our Sienna. To access the cargo area, we can pull the black pin at the base of the bike rack and tilt the mast down. more

Today on our 2006 Toyota Sienna, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Titan 4 Bike Carrier both 1-1/4 and 2 inches hitches, Part Number S63410. Now to begin our test fit, we'll slide the bike rank shank using the included two inch adapter into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With the bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the back of the bike rack measures 13 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack, here at the mast to the back of the vehicle measures 8-1/2 inches. We can now go ahead and pull the switch here on the base of the rack, which will allow us to tilt the mast down and open the cargo door. more

Today on our 2006 Toyota Sienna, we'll be test fitting the Kua Sherpa Hitch Mounted 2 Bike Rack with Wheel Mount Cradles, Part Number S102. Now to begin our test fit, we'll slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and slide the hitch pin in. We can then move to the back of the shank where we can tighten that down securing the bike rack to the vehicle. We'll now and go ahead, and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the bottom of the bike rack is 11 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack with the bike rack in the stored position to the back of the vehicle measures 2-1/2 inches. We'll now go ahead and pull the handle and unfold the platform. more

We'll line up our hitch pin hole, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down using a wrench. Next, we'll go over a handful of clearance measurements. We've got about 10 inches of ground clearance and about 1/2-inch of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the vehicle. Overall, we've added about 10 inches of length to the rear of our vehicle with the carrier's arms folded down. more

Well line up our hitch pin hole, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and then tighten it down using a wrench. Well then secure a lock over the end of the bolt. Now we want to prepare to load a bike. Well undo the rubber straps at the cradle thats closest to the vehicle and grab our bicycle. more

We've got about 10 and half inches of ground clearance and about five and half inches of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the vehicle. Overall, we've added about 22 inches of length to the rear of our vehicle. more

Yakima DoubleDown 5 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2005 Toyota Sienna

Alright today on this 2005 Toyota Sienna, were going to do a test fit of part number y02425, Yakimas Doubledown 5 Bike Carrier. We will go ahead and install this in our 2 receiver hitch. This bicycle rack does have a 2 bushing installed on it already. You can use it on an inch and a 1/4, however you want to limit it to a class 2 receiver hitch. Lets go ahead and install the anti-rattle bolt as part of the rock steady hitch tongue. Now it does come with a tool to help tighten it down, however a inch wrench will actually work as well. more
