Saris MHS 2 Bike Rack Review - 2020 Toyota RAV4- Video

Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we'll be taking a look at the Saris MHS. This is a modular bike rack for two bikes right here on our 2020 Toyota RAV4. The Saris MHS is a unique system in and of itself, you're able to switch things around and move the trays quickly, even add on another extra tray in about 30 seconds. So if you're looking for a 2-bike platform rack, this might be above and beyond what you need, but if you're interested in the MHS system, we'll talk about those features, we'll talk about those specs, but we're gonna focus on our Toyota RAV4 today. That way, you can see how it works with your vehicle and what is the best fit for you, your different types of bikes and cargo, and your car. Yakima FullTilt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Toyota RAV4- Video

How's it going, everyone Ethan with Etrailer here to show you the Yakima FullTilt Hanging Bike Rack on our 2020 Toyota RAV4. This rack will support five bikes up to 150 pounds total. So about 30 pounds per bike. One thing to consider is that it's probably not gonna be the best fit for alternative style and kids style bikes. And if you have a carbon frame bike, you probably wanna avoid any sort of use of this at all 'cause it's gonna be held solely on the frame here. Okay, so one thing that we're gonna note here is that once you take this anti-sway out of play, and I can't, it's not the easiest thing to get to in the world to be honest but once you get that out, you're gonna notice that the bike does move pretty good back and forth but gravity usually does its thing and holds those in place for the most part. more

Swagman Current 2 Electric Bikes Rack Review - 2020 Toyota RAV4- Video

How's it going everybody It's Ethan at etrailer here today to talk to you about the Swagman Current bike rack on our 2020 Toyota RAV4. The Current is a two bike platform style bike rack that holds onto our bike primarily by the frame hooks here and by a couple different secondary points of contact down at the bottom with our straps it's capable of supporting up to 60 pounds per bike. One of the things I like about this rack is the tilt away feature. Pulling up on this green knob lever in the back, tilt it down and that should give you plenty of clearance to access cargo hold in the back. As you can see, no real issues with that at all. Plenty of space to get in, change shoes, access anything that you might need from the cargo area and get back out. more

How's it going everyone It's Ethan with etrailer here and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Saris SuperClamp EX on our 2020 Toyota RAV4. The Saris SuperClamp EX is a two bike platform style bike rack that holds onto our bikes primarily through these hooks here. The tire hooks on either side and two extra straps on the bottom. I really like the hooks themselves because they allow you for a wider range of bikes. They hold onto the tires themselves and not the frames which is really nice for alternative style bikes and if you want to avoid carbon fiber bike damage. The rack itself is capable of supporting up to 60 pounds per bike. more

Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack Review - 2020 Toyota RAV4- Video

How's it going, everyone Ethan from etrailer here, and today, we're gonna be taking a look at our Kuat Transfer on our 2020 Toyota RAV 4. The Transfer is a two-bike platform rack, capable of supporting up to 40 pounds per bike, primarily held here by our wheel hooks and one other strap in the back. I like the wheel hooks themselves, as they avoid any sort of frame contact. For example, with our carbon frame bike here, it's just nice to know that there's not gonna be any damages with that, as you're bumping along on the road. And in general, I think it's a pretty solid hold. Another great feature of the Transfer here, if you lift this hook away, you can use your foot actually to access this pedal. more

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 2 Electric Bike Platform Rack Review - 2020 Toyota RAV4- Video

How's it going, everyone It's Ethan from etrailer here today. I'm taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE. The Sport Rider SE is a two-bike platform bike rack, capable of supporting bikes up to 80 pounds each, held primarily by these frame hooks, and a couple of straps on either wheel. The frame hooks do hold the bike, like I mentioned, primarily by the frame itself. So if that's something that's important to you or if you have a carbon frame bike, you're probably gonna wanna avoid this type of rack, just 'cause it could potentially damage the frame while you're driving. In order to tilt this bike, you do actually have to remove this pin. more

Evangeline: Hi, it's Evangeline from etrailer.com. And today we're looking at this, Inno Tire Mount Two Bike Platform Rack on our 2020 Toyota Rav4. Now, you would need this rack. If you want to bring yourself and a friend or your spouse, or even your child out for a bike ride, you can carry both of your bikes securely with this tire mount. In fact, this tire mount is a pretty good idea if you have a carbon fiber bike that you don't warp the frame in, or if you have a really nice paint finish that you don't want to scratch, this would be a good idea. If you have fenders on your bike though, and like my bike has a basket, this would not fit that well. more

Thule Doubletrack Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2020 Toyota RAV4- Video

Hi, it's Evangeline from etrailer.com and today we're looking at this Thule Doubletrack platform-style two bike rack on our 2020 Toyota RAV4. Now this bike rack is needed if you want to take two bikes out for a trip, so you and maybe your spouse's bike or your friend's bike, and with these adjustable wheel mounts, even your children's bike can fit onto this bike rack. And if you have a carbon fiber though bike, or with a custom paint finish, these have frame mounts. So these wouldn't be that best of an option for that. But if you're not worried about that, and you just want to take your two bikes out, if they have fenders, this is great, and we'll keep everything securely in place. Extra securely with these. more

So the rack that we have here today can hold up to a total of two bikes, but if you need to carry more, there's a four-bike version available as well. So one of the main things right off the bat that I noticed about this rack is that it's going to sit up pretty high, and that's really going to help with our ground clearance, which is always important especially, on a vehicle like the RAV4. Right out of the factory doesn't give us a ton of ground clearance. more
