RockyMounts GuideRail 2 Bike Rack Review - 2023 Toyota 4Runner- Video

Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail Hitch Mount Bike Rack, and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Toyota 4Runner. As far as bike racks go, the GuideRail is a personal favorite of mine because it's really well-built and I think it's a great fit on the 4Runner. It offers one of the best ground clearances out there. So if you're taking your 4Runner off the beaten path and you're worried about clearance, I don't think you have to worry about it as much with the GuideRail, and we'll check out that specific measurement later. But just as a rack itself, it's going to have an impressive capability, being able to hold up to 60 pounds per bike. more

Kuat Piston Pro 3 Bike Rack Review - 2023 Toyota 4Runner- Video

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Piston Pro three bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Toyota 4Runner. The Piston Pro is a really nice bike rack. It's gonna be a dual wheel mount design, which just means it holds the bike by both tires. What that translates to is zero frame contact, making it a really good fit for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes. The one downside to the three bike version that we have today is the weight capacity. more

Saris Door County 2 Electric Bike Rack Review - 2021 Toyota 4Runner- Video

Now this is a pretty unique bike rack in the sense that it has a lift on the back. You plug it into your seven way on your 4Runner, which in this case you will need an extension for, because the included cord does not reach your plug. But you can hit the down arrow on the back of the rack, and you can see, the whole bike rack starts to lower down. This will make it a lot easier to load and unload your bikes from the rack. more

So with this platform style bike rack, you're holding the bike by the tires on either side. Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota 4Runner- Video

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 2, on our 2015 Toyota 4Runner. This rack's gonna be for you if you don't have carbon fiber frame bikes. It is gonna have frame contact, and what does that is the frame hooks here in the middle. But, you don't really have to worry about it scratching up your normal type bikes, 'cause we do have one, a coated little hook right here, we're we also have an added protection right here. It's very soft, so it's not gonna scratch up your bikes. If you do have a step-through bike, all you need to do is use an adapter bar like this, to put in between your seat and your handlebars for that frame hook to lock down. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota 4Runner HR1450Z-85- Video

Today we have a 2015 Toyota 4Runner and we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE with the cargo carrier. The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE is gonna be great for you if you have a mountain bike, a road bike and electric bikes, if they're under 50 pounds. Also we're gonna have a decent amount of space up top to load up a lot of our cargo up to a hundred pounds. The Sport Rider SE can either come with these cradles right here, which has a maximum of three inches in tire width, or you can grab it that already has the fat tire cradles on there. These are gonna accept five inch tire widths or you can just grab these individually to swap over one or two, depending on what kind of bikes you have. That's the main gist with this bike rack but we do wanna take it on the test course to show you how it's going to look and feel, whenever we're going on bumps and stuff like that. more

Hey guys, welcome to etrailer.com, I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at our Thule hitching post pro on our 2021 Toyota 4Runner. So if we are taking our 4Runner down either to the trails or to the park, what's gonna be nice about this bike rack, it's gonna allow us to fit up to one to four bikes on it. One thing to keep in mind, this is not suited for like a carbon frame bike. As you can see here, our anti-sway cradles actually mount directly to our frame, so some issues we might run into there. You know, our standard men's and women's bikes, they're gonna have the appropriate frame size. Now if we start talking about kiddos' bikes, those might not fit correctly on here, so you might need to look at a bike adapter bar but that's something we offer on our site. more

Thule Apex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2007 Toyota 4Runner- Video

Today on our 2007 Toyota 4runner well be test fitting the Thule Apex 4-Bike Carrier, part number th9025. Well begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch, and allowing the integrated hitch pin to fall into place. Well then turn the black knob to engage the anti-rattle device. Now with our Thule Apex secured to our 4runner well go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 17 inches of ground clearance at the rear. With the cradle arms folded down weve added about 15 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. more

Today on our 2007 Toyota 4runner well be test fitting the Yakima Doubledown Ace 4-Bike Carrier, part number y02451. Well begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. Well insert the pin with the red knob into the pin holes and turn the black knob to engage the anti-rattle device securing the bike rack to the vehicle. With this done well now go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 19 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 9 inches away. more
