SportRack Escape 3 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Jeep Liberty- Video

Today on our 2012 Jeep Liberty, we'll be test fitting the SportRack Escape 3 Bike Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier, part number A30403. Now, this bike carrier will work with both 1-1/4 and 2-inch hitches. Today, we'll be using it with a 2-inch hitch so we've already gone ahead and install the included adapter onto the bike rack shank. We can now slide the shank of the bike rack into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and using the included anti-rattle bolt, we'll insert it and tighten it down, securing the bike rack to the vehicle. Now with the bike rack secured, we can go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the back of the bike rack measures 17-1/2 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack here at the mast to the back of the vehicle measures 12-1/2 inches. more

Kuat Sherpa Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Jeep Liberty- Video

Today on our 2012 Jeep Liberty, we'll be test fitting the Kuat Sherpa Aluminum Hitch Mounted 2 Bike Rack with Wheel Mount Cradles, part number S102. Now using the included 2-inch adapter, we'll slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and insert our hitch pin. We'll then move to the back of the shank where we'll turn the knob, tightening down the anti-rattle device securing the bike rack to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the back of the bike rack with the platform in the stored position measures 22-1/2 inches. From the closest point of the bike rack here at the wheel cradle to the back of the vehicle measures 6 inches. more

Thule Parkway 2 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Jeep Liberty- Video

Today, on our 2012 Jeep Liberty, we will be test fitting the Thule Parkway 2 Bike Carrier, part number TH958. This bike rack will work with 2" hitches. With our bike rack already preassembled, we're ready to install it on the vehicle. We're going to go ahead and load it into the hitch, install the Anti-Rattle Colt and tighten it down using our 3/4" wrench. With our bike rack installed and secured, we're going to do a couple of the measurements from the lowest point of the bike rack to the floor is 17-1/2" from the closest point of the bike rack to the bumper is 5-1/2". Alright, what we're going to do now is to unfold the bike rack to gain access to the rear hitch and show you the clearance. more

SportRack Escape 3 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Jeep Liberty- Video

Test fit of the Sport rack escape hitch mounted bike rack, part number 130403 on our 2011 jeep liberty. Now my bike rack is installed and my anti rattle pin is tightened down and safety pin installed. Lets go ahead and take a look at what our bike rack will look like when we access the rear cargo area. Well go ahead and pull the bike rack down now. As you can see theres plenty of clearance to get into the rear cargo area.As you can see the top support arm also collapses for travel without bikes or for storage. Lets go ahead and put our support arms back up and install a bike so we can see what it looks like. more
