Today on our 2012 jeep Grand Cherokee were going to be test fitting the Saris bike porter 4 bike rack for 1 and 2 inch hitches part number SA404b. To begin our test fit, were going to insert the shank of the rack into our hitch. Youll want to watch for the pinholes to line up. With that in mind, well take the included anti-rattle hitch bolt and thread it into place. Once you have it hand tight, you can take your wrench and finish the job. Saris Axis 3 Bike Rack Review - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be test fitting the Saris Axis 3 Bike Rack for an inch and a quarter and two-inch hitches, part number SA843B. To begin our test fit, we're going to go ahead and insert the shank of the rack into our hitch. You'll want to watch for the pin holes to line up. Then you'll take the included anti-rattle hitch lock and insert that. Go ahead and get that hand-tight. Then secure the rest of the way with your wrench. Then you'll just snap the end of the lock into place and remove the key. With our bike installed, we'll get a few clearance measurements. more

Hollywood Racks Traveler 5 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today, on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Rack Traveler Five-Bike Carrier, Part Number HR9200.To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line-up our pinholes, thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pinholes and tighten with a wrench.Now that our Hollywood Rack Traveler is secured to our Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 11-1/2 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of our Grand Cherokee is here at the rear bumper about 13 inches away. We've added about 17 inches to the overall length of the vehicle.We'll now undo the black knobs from the left and right-hand side of the mast towards the top to swing out our cradle arms. We'll then turn the knobs to lock the arms in place, and we have about 39 inches of overall length added to the vehicle with the cradle arms out.To access the cargo area, we'll pull the pin at the base of the carrier to tilt the mast down. This will allow us to have access to our vehicle's cargo door.To load the bike, we'll make sure the mast is in its upright position. more

Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler 4 Bike Carrier, part number HR8500. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, throw on our anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes, and tighten with a wrench. Now with our Hollywood Racks Traveler secured to our Grand Cherokee, we'll go over a few clearance measurement to see how the two fit together. We have about 12 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of our carrier to the closest part of our Grand Cherokee is here at the rear bumper, about 6-1/2 inches away. With the cradle arms folded down, we've added about 11 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

Thule Apex 4 Swing Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee well be test fitting the Thule Apex Swing four bike carrier, part number TH9027. To begin our test fit, slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, insert our pin through our pin holes and turn the black knob located at the back of the carrier to engage our anti-rattle device. Now well go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle will fit together. Theres about 13 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about one and a half inches. With the cradle arms folded down weve added about three inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

Yakima DoubleDown Ace Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on this 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be test fitting the Yakima DoubleDown Ace 4 Bike Carrier, part number Y02451. To begin our test fit, we'll take the bike carrier and into the shaft into the hitch, lining up the pinhole. Take the red pin and enter it into the pinhole, then turn the black knob into the back of the bike carrier to engage the anti-rattle device. Now, we'll go over some clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and the vehicle fit together. There are 11 inches of ground clearance from the ground to the bottom of the bike carrier. There are 6 inches from the closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle and we've added 15 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more
