Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
How's it going, this is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination four-bike carrier on the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Destination is a four-bike platform carrier, and as far as being a carrier, is one of the better values to move four bikes. It is a frame mount where you're gonna have contact with your bike's frame, and then you have two straps along with the cradles that are gonna tie down to keep your wheels and everything stable. As far as how close you get to the vehicle with the bike on the closest position, you can kind of see with my handlebar here, I'm pretty close. Rocking it right here, I wouldn't be worried about it making contact, but it's something to definitely consider when you're making your purchase as far as the length of your handlebars. So let's take this guy off and take a closer look. more

The XC2 is gonna be a very popular option because it's at a very affordable price point where you still get the stability of a platform rack without paying the usual platform rack prices. This is gonna be a very minimalistic bike rack, though, where you have your basic features and ideal for people that don't wanna spend extra for features they may not need. So all in all, this can carry a 35-pound bike, or two of them, actually. And then you have your basic wheel hoops and a frame mount. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination four bike platform rack. We're gonna take a look at how it fits on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. So the Destination four is actually one of my favorite bike racks to recommend for people just getting into the bike rack world because it's very versatile, it's very lightweight, it's very compact, and it can carry most types of bikes. Now it does have its downsides too where it has a 35 pound per bike weight capacity. So if you have a heavy electric bike, this might not be the best fit for you, but if you're looking for something that is not super duper large, but has the stability of a platform rack, this is a great option to look at. Now we are missing out on a feature here, which is gonna be the tilt away feature. more

RockyMounts GuideRail 2 Bike Rack Review - 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
How's it going, everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail on our 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The GuideRail is a two-bike platform style bike rack, capable of supporting two bikes up to 60 pounds each, held primarily by these dual wheel mounts up either side, which is nice 'cause it avoids any framed contact, so if you we're using a carbon frame bike or an alternative frame style bike, that would be good in this case. One thing I like about this rack is that it does have a pretty aggressive tilt. So as far as any of the racks we tested today, this is the one that tilts the furthest away that I've seen and it gives us plenty of clearance to get into our cargo area in the back of our car, and plenty of room back here in the event that you wanna take a seat after your ride, change your shoes or get something out of the back. So tilting our bike rack back up, you'll hear a click and that's how you know it's in place. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're gonna take a look at the Inno Tire Hold Two Bike Platform Bike Rack on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The first thing you're gonna notice with this bike rack is it is a platform-style for two bikes. Now, the way that this secures the bike to the platform is wheel holds on each side. It's not very common that you see that on bike racks, but it is a really nice feature. Many times you'll have a nice wheel strap with a tire hold, or a frame hold. This is a carbon fiber bike, so being able to lock on the wheels is awesome. more

We have a lot of different options when it comes to colors and hitch sizes, so this is the gunmetal gray, we're going to have metallic black and matte black, and also it's going to come in a two inch hitch configuration, and also an inch and a quarter configuration. We can have the option to add on either just one bike or two bikes, depending on how many people you plan on riding with.We do get a tilting feature with the Kuat, which I love. You just hold this big lever here, tilt it down, and we'll be able to access anything in the back. Whenever you're riding, whether it's just two people or four or three people, a lot of the stuff usually goes in the back of the hatch. more

Hey Jeep owners today on your 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule DoubleTrack Pro 2-bike rack. The Thule DoubleTrack Pro is a two bike rack that's extraordinarily easy to use. A lot of bike racks have knobs that you have to twist some other gadgets, you have to fiddle with. What I like about this one is the lever action that allows us to easily slide and move our components. You can see that here as well on our arm hooks just have a lever that allows us to easily adjust it and put it back into place. Now, we do have a knob here but that's for security. more

It's going to be a great way to carry around your bikes. Kind of holds it, at least in my opinion, at that perfect height. Hi there, Jeep owners. Today on your 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're going to be taking a look at and test fitting Thule's Hitching Post Pro four bike hanging bike rack. This hanging style bike rack is going to give you four different slots so you can bring along four bikes with you, so every passenger in your vehicle can have their own bike.It will work with most bikes. I do recommend not using carbon fiber bikes with it. If you have a smaller or specialty frame bike, like a children's bike, or one with a special frame, we do have adapter bars available so that way they can work on here as well.But if you've got your regular standard mountain bike, you should have no problem getting it on here. It's held in place with two cradles, one on each side, so we've got two points of contact holding our frame. more

It secures our bikes in three locations; there is no frame contact. We've got two wheel straps for our wheels, and then we have a wheel hook going over our front wheel, putting down pressure into the front wheel cradle. One of its best features is, though, it has the ability to tilt away from our vehicle so we can gain access to our rear hatch. We'll simply reach through, lift up on the lever, and then tilt it away. As you can see, we're going to have more than enough room to remove any cargo, gear, groceries, anything we might have with us on our trip. Now let's go ahead and remove our bike. more

Today on our 2012 jeep Grand Cherokee were going to be test fitting the Saris bike porter 4 bike rack for 1 and 2 inch hitches part number SA404b. To begin our test fit, were going to insert the shank of the rack into our hitch. Youll want to watch for the pinholes to line up. With that in mind, well take the included anti-rattle hitch bolt and thread it into place. Once you have it hand tight, you can take your wrench and finish the job. Saris Axis 3 Bike Rack Review - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be test fitting the Saris Axis 3 Bike Rack for an inch and a quarter and two-inch hitches, part number SA843B. To begin our test fit, we're going to go ahead and insert the shank of the rack into our hitch. You'll want to watch for the pin holes to line up. Then you'll take the included anti-rattle hitch lock and insert that. Go ahead and get that hand-tight. Then secure the rest of the way with your wrench. Then you'll just snap the end of the lock into place and remove the key. With our bike installed, we'll get a few clearance measurements. more

SportRack 3 Bike Rack Review - 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we will be test fitting the Sport Rack hitch-mounting hanging 3 bike rack, part number SR2403. We will begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pin holes, we will thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes and then tighten it down using a wrench. With the bike rack secure, we will go over a few clearance measurements to see how the 2 fit together. We have about 14" of ground clearance. The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 3-1/2" away and we have added about 9" to the overall length of our Jeep. We will now go ahead and remove the black pin at the top of the mast, which is going to allow us to swing the cradle arms of the bike rack out. more

Today on our 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be test-fitting the Saris Freedom Platform-Style Hitch-Mounted Four-Bike Rack, part number SA 4414B. We'll begin our test-fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pin holes, we'll thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tightening it down with a wrench, and then securing with the cotter pin on the other side. With the bike rack secure, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about sixteen inches of ground clearance at the back of the bike rack. The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about four inches away, and we've added about seventeen inches to the overall length of our Jeep. We'll now go ahead and pull on the gray lever at the top of the platform, which will allow us to tilt the platform down. As you can see with the rack in this position, we do have full access to the rear hatch. We have about twenty-three and a half inches of ground clearance at the back of the bike rack. more

After allowing the integrated hitch pin to fall into place, we'll then turn the black knob to engage the anti-rattle device. With the bike rack secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 15" of ground clearance at the shank of the bike rack. From the back of the bike rack, we have about 18" of ground clearance. more

The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 1/8 inch away and it does have some wobble, so it may hit the rear of your bumper. more

Softride Dura Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today, on our 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be test fitting the Softride Dura Parallelogram, part number SR26247. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pin holes, we'll thread in our anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes and then tighten it down using a wrench. We'll then go ahead and insert the lock onto the end of the anti-rattle bolt. With the bike rack secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 14 inches of ground clearance. more

Saris Axis 3 Bike Rack Review - 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be testing fitting the Saris Axis Hitch Mounted, Aluminum, Hanging 3-Bike Rack, part number SA843B. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pinholes we'll thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pinholes and then tighten it down using a wrench. With the bike rack secure, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 14 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 6 inches away and we have added about 14 inches to the overall length of our jeep. We'll now go ahead and lift up on the yellow levers at the top of the mast, which will allow us to slide the cradle arms over into the smooth portion and bring them up, lining up the grooves, and then clamp down the yellow levers, which is going to secure the arms in place. With the cradle arms out, we've added about 24 inches to the overall length of our Grand Cherokee. To access the cargo area, we'll pull out on the yellow t-handle, located at the base of the bike rack, which will allow us to tilt the mast of the rack down, giving us full access to the rear hatch. To load up a bike, we'll need to make sure the mast of the rack is in its upright position. We'll then undo the ratcheting straps, and place our bike into the frame cradles. more

Hollywood Racks Traveler 5 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today, on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Rack Traveler Five-Bike Carrier, Part Number HR9200.To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line-up our pinholes, thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pinholes and tighten with a wrench.Now that our Hollywood Rack Traveler is secured to our Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 11-1/2 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of our Grand Cherokee is here at the rear bumper about 13 inches away. We've added about 17 inches to the overall length of the vehicle.We'll now undo the black knobs from the left and right-hand side of the mast towards the top to swing out our cradle arms. We'll then turn the knobs to lock the arms in place, and we have about 39 inches of overall length added to the vehicle with the cradle arms out.To access the cargo area, we'll pull the pin at the base of the carrier to tilt the mast down. This will allow us to have access to our vehicle's cargo door.To load the bike, we'll make sure the mast is in its upright position. more

Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler 4 Bike Carrier, part number HR8500. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, throw on our anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes, and tighten with a wrench. Now with our Hollywood Racks Traveler secured to our Grand Cherokee, we'll go over a few clearance measurement to see how the two fit together. We have about 12 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of our carrier to the closest part of our Grand Cherokee is here at the rear bumper, about 6-1/2 inches away. With the cradle arms folded down, we've added about 11 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

Thule Apex 4 Swing Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee well be test fitting the Thule Apex Swing four bike carrier, part number TH9027. To begin our test fit, slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, insert our pin through our pin holes and turn the black knob located at the back of the carrier to engage our anti-rattle device. Now well go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle will fit together. Theres about 13 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about one and a half inches. With the cradle arms folded down weve added about three inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

Yakima DoubleDown Ace Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on this 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be test fitting the Yakima DoubleDown Ace 4 Bike Carrier, part number Y02451. To begin our test fit, we'll take the bike carrier and into the shaft into the hitch, lining up the pinhole. Take the red pin and enter it into the pinhole, then turn the black knob into the back of the bike carrier to engage the anti-rattle device. Now, we'll go over some clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and the vehicle fit together. There are 11 inches of ground clearance from the ground to the bottom of the bike carrier. There are 6 inches from the closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle and we've added 15 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more
