If you're looking for a durable and reliable bike rack that has pretty much all the features you'd expect from a premium rack that's where the Kuat NV comes in handy. Now the Base version is the matte black not as premium option as a Kuat NV 2.0 where you still get pretty much the same features but at a slightly more affordable price. So let's talk about how this fits on the Honda Pilot. I think it fits great. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have a Saris SuperClamp EX two-bike rack. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2020 Honda Pilot, and we'll talk about its different features and help you decide if this is gonna be the right bike rack for you. This does have some different features like a great weight capacity of 60 pounds for your electric bikes. It's technically a dual wheel mount rack and it has straps, so whether you have any type of frame or even if you have fenders, this can technically work for them. So there's a lot of versatility to this rack, but the first feature we'll take a look at is gonna be our tilt away feature. There's a large lever here at the end. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the RockyMounts AfterParty 2 Bikes Swing Away bike rack, and we're gonna take a look at how this fits our 2020 Honda Pilot. This bike rack is especially helpful because it swings away for full hatch access. Plus you also have the fun features of this being a dual wheel mounted bike rack and a good weight capacity for heavy electric bikes. What we're gonna do is we're going to loosen the lever down here. So this lever is pretty much loosened so I'm just gonna rotate this until it's completely out. And then in the back there's that knob. more

Hey it's Ethan here at Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2019 Honda Pilot. The Sherpa is a two-bike platform style bike rack capable of supporting 40 pounds per bike. It's gonna hold our bike primarily by this tire hook and one additional strap in the back so there's no frame contact in the event that you wanna do transport carbon frame bikes or really aggressive alternative frame style bikes. You could do that. You have fenders or a really nice paint job to work with that too. more

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 2 Electric Bike Platform Rack Review - 2019 Honda Pilot- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE hitch bike rack, how it fits on our 2019 Honda Pilot. Sport Rider SE is a two-bike platform style bike rack capable of supporting up to 80 pounds. It's going to hold onto our bike primarily with this frame hook here and two additional straps down at the bottom. So because it does make that frame contact, we don't recommend using this rack with carbon frame bikes 'cause it could potentially damage them while your driving. And alternative frame style bikes should work as long as the hooks contact. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2016 Honda Pilot- Video
How's it going, everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro Four Bike Rack on the back of our 2016 Honda Pilot. This is a hanging-style bike rack. It is going to be holding the bike primarily by the top of the frame and by this anti-sway clip in the back here. So if you do have carbon frame bikes, or alternative frame bikes, you might want, or you definitely don't wanna use carbon frame bikes, but if you have an alternative frame bike, you may need a bike adapter bar. This bike rack is capable of supporting 35 pounds per bike or 140 pounds total. more

First impressions of the rack on the back of the Honda, really simple, not a whole lot to it. This is gonna be a great choice for those of you that are kind of just getting started or don't really go riding, you know, a whole lot. If you're someone that's out hitting the trails every weekend or a couple times a week, something like that, you know there's some other racks out there that'll probably be a better choice for you. I'm a big fan of the Kuat Platform Style Racks, just about any of them are really good, but that's not a takeaway from this. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2022 Honda Pilot- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer, today on our 2022 Honda Pilot we're gonna be checking out the Thule Hitching Post Pro, Hitch Mount Bike Rack. First impression of the rack on the back of the Honda, I think it looks good, this Thule rack kinda has a timeless design if you ask me, so, you know, and honestly just about any type of accessory you put on the back of the pilot looks right at home, but this could be a great way to get a lot of bikes to and from the trails so this can hold up to a total of four. And one of the great things about it is it's super easy to use and figure out and live with, you know, personal I don't want anything overly complicated or difficult and that's not the case at all with this one. With that said though, the way it's going to hold your bike down, it's gonna use three straps, so you're gonna have two straps up here and then a strap down here, what that one's gonna help do is eliminate side to side movement, of way your bike aren't banging into each other as you're going down the road. Well, why don't we go ahead just take our bike off so we can have a better look at the rack. And just pull the iron on the straps. more

Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the Curt 4 Bike Hanging Bike Rack on a 2021 Honda Pilot. Now the Honda Pilot is a great third row SUV and chances are, if you have a third row SUV, you have little kiddos that sit in those seats. So if you are a bike riding family, or just wanna take your bikes on the trail, or at the park occasionally, sometimes it's hard to transfer all of the bikes. Well that's where this one comes into play, allowing you to have up to four bikes, but also this nice tapered design is gonna make it a lot easier to put those kiddos bikes on the back here. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Honda Pilot- Video

Today on our 2017 Honda Pilot, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Helium Pro Two Bike Rack.One of my favorite things about this bike rack is that it's going to be made from aluminum, so it's going to be incredibly lightweight and easy to handle, we're also not going to have to worry about any rust or corrosion issues either. Our rack is going to hold our bike down in three spots, two straps here on the top tube, and a strap down here, that's actually going to be an anti-sway strap, which will help prevent any side-to-side movement, that way your bikes don't touch each other, or your bike doesn't touch the back of your vehicle.This rack can hold up to two bikes, however, if you need an extra one, Thule does make the same rack, except in a three bike version. Now let's go ahead and remove our bike, that way we can take a better look at the rack itself. To do it is very simple, we'll come here to our ratcheting straps, push down the lever, and pull the strap out. Once you have the straps out of the way, just grab our bike and set it off to the side. more

Today on our 2012 Honda Pilot, we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler four-bike carrier, part number hr8500. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, slide our antirattle through the pin holes, and tighten with a wrench. Now with the carrier secured to the vehicle, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle will fit together. There is about 18 1/2 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about seven inches. With the cradle arms folded down, we have added about 11 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, insert the pin with the red knob into the pin hole, and turn the black knob to engage our anti-rattle device. Now with the carrier secured to the vehicle, well go over a few clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle will fit together. Theres about 18-1/2 of ground clearance, the closet part of the carrier to the closet part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about eight inches, with the cradle arms folded down weve added about 13 to the overall length of the vehicle. Well now go ahead and pull the red lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out and well measure from the vehicles cargo door to the end of the carriers cradle arms and we get a measurement of 44. To access the cargo area, well lift up the red pin at the back of the carrier to tilt the mast down; this will allow us to have access to our cargo door. more

Today on our 2012 Honda Pilot, well be test fitting the Yakima Fatcat 6 Locking Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier, part number Y03088.Now to begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pinholes, thread our anti-rattle bolt through our pinholes and tighten with a wrench.Now that the carrier is secured to the vehicle, well go over a few clearance measurements and see how the bike carrier and the vehicle fit together. There is about 21 and a half inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle is about 10 and a half inches. With the cradle arms folded down, weve added about 22 inches to the overall length of the vehicle.We'll now go ahead and pull the black lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out and we'll measure from the vehicles cargo door to the end of the carriers cradle arms and we get a measurement of 47 inches.To access the cargo area, we'll lift up the black lever at the bottom of the mast to tilt the carrier down. This will allow us to have access to our cargo door.To load the bike, we'll make sure that the mast is in its upright position. We'll undo the cradle straps, set the bike onto the frame cradles and secure with the straps.That completes todays test fit for the Swagman Titan Four Bike Carrier, part number S63410 on our 2012 Honda Pilot.. more

Theres about 18-1/2 of ground clearance, the closet part of the carrier to the closet part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about 5-1/2, from the vehicles cargo door to the end of the carriers cradle arms is 41. To load the bike well undo the cradle straps, set the bike onto the frame cradles and secure them with the straps. To access the cargo area well pull out the black T-handle on the top right hand corner of the carrier and tilt it down, this will allow us to have access to our cargo door. more

There is about 22 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about 4 inches. With the platform folded up, weve added about 15 inches to the overall length of the vehicle.We'll now go ahead and lift the gold handle to tilt the platform down and we'll measure from the vehicles cargo door to the end of the carriers platform and we'll get a measurement of 34 inches.To load the bike, we'll raise the wheel hook at the top of the mast and we'll undo the tray strap. We'll set the bike onto the platform, adjust the wheel hook on the front wheel just before the front caliber and secure with the rear tray strap.To access the cargo area, we'll again pull the gold handle that we used to lower the platform to lower it in a second position. more

Now to begin our test fit, well slide our bike rack shank into the hitch, line up our hitch pinhole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight. Our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. SportRack Escape 3 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2008 Honda Pilot- Video
Today on our 2008 Honda Pilot, well be test fitting part number a30403, this is the Sport Rack Escape Three-Bike Hitch Mounted Folding Bike Rack for both inch and a quarter and two inch hitches. Now to begin our test fit, well slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With the bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is fourteen and a half inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is four and a half inches. Well now go ahead and pull the pin here at the bottom of the bike rack mast which will allow us to tilt the mast down, we can then open our cargo door. more

Today on our 2008 Honda Pilot, well test fitting the Pro-Series Q Slot Platform Style Bike Carrier, part number ps63134. Now to begin our test fit, well slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install our hitch pin. Well then put the clip on the other side of the pin which will secure our bike rack to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. At the back of the bike rack, our ground clearance is 17 inches and from the closest part of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is eight inches. Well now go ahead and unfold the bike rack platform and open our cargo door. more
