So first impressions of the rack on the back of the CR-V, I think it's a good fit. It looks awesome. Thule makes really nice products, have a timeless design, very user friendly, and a platform-style rack you really can't go wrong with. This particular one is gonna be capable of holding up to two bikes, and the way it's gonna do it is with a tire hook here. more

Thule Epos 3 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Honda CR-V- Video
Hi, Matt here with etrailer. And today, we're gonna be talking about the Thule Epos 3-Bike Rack on the back of the 2022 Honda CR-V. This is gonna be a versatile platform bike rack. As you can see here, it's capable of carrying carbon frame bikes. On the back tire, it has a strap instead of being on the frame itself, but this center mast is also capable of sliding over to the frame and being attached anywhere, so it's great for mountain bikes as well. It can also carry about 66 pounds per bike, so that's gonna be great for any of your e-bikes, for anything super heavy. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima FullTilt hanging style bike rack and seeing how it fits on this 2023 Honda CR-V. With this being a hanging style rack, it's gonna hold the bike by the frame with the rest of the bike kind of hanging down below it. That's where it gets its name. This one holds it in place with two zip strips up top. That's gonna be the straps that ratchet in and hold it down into the cradles with the third one on the seat post limiting our side to side movement. more

RockyMounts GuideRail Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2023 Honda CR-V- Video
Cooper here at etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at our RockyMounts GuideRail on our 2023 Honda CR-V. Our bike rack is going to be a two-platform style bike rack, individually rated for 60 pounds each, meaning that our e-bikes are going to fit on it. As well as you can tell, there is no frame contact, which means that our carbon frame bikes, as well as our alternative frame bikes, are going to fit very well onto this rack. One of the really cool features about the GuideRail is it actually has a tilt-away feature. So holding onto our blue lever here, just holding onto our bike for a little extra security, we are able to tilt this away, allowing us access into our trunk. So that way we have our bike shoes back here, our helmets, maybe a water bottle or something. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima On-Ramp, hitch-bounded bike rack, and seeing how it fits in the back of our 2023 Honda CR-V. The On-Ramp is a platform style bike rack and this one holds the bike in trays. You can slide the bikes back and forth anywhere along these trays so long as the wheel straps reach the wheels and our frame clamp here can wrap around the frame. It's gonna be really more of a cradle with a strap around it than a clamp. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here at the etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro Hanging-Style Bike Rack, and seeing how it fits on our 2023 Honda CR-V. With this being a Hanging-Style Bike Rack, that does present some limitations. This isn't gonna be the best fit for carbon frame bikes because hanging by the frame here isn't good for those more fragile frames. This one holds it in these cradles with two straps over the top, and one around the side to limit our side-to-side movement, acting as an anti-sway cradle. more

Swagman Skaha 2 Electric Bikes Rack Review - 2023 Honda CR-V- Video
Hi, everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Skaha 2-Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on our 2023 Honda CR-V. The Skaha is a platform-style bike rack, holding up to two bikes in these wheel cradles and holding them primarily by our front tire using the wheel hook. Because it uses the wheel hook, we don't have any sort of frame contact here, making this a good option for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and with a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, it can handle some e-bikes too. At the bottom of the bike rack towards the front end here, there's gonna be a green lever. This is what we can use to tilt the rack down, releasing the mechanism there, and lowering the rack down. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman E-SPEC platform-style bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Honda CR-V. This platform-style rack holds the bike in two sets of wheel cradles that are adjustable on these arms, front to back, allowing us to fit a variety of different wheel bases. In addition to that, it's going to hold the bike by the frame with this frame hook up top. The frame hook will ratchet down over the center mast here and hold the bike in place. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Rocky Mounts MonoRail hitch mounted rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Honda CR-V. Now the Monorail is going to be a platform style bike rack. Platform means that it's going to sit on top of this tray in these wheel cradles and this one is going to be a really great value option in my opinion. It can hold up to 60 pounds per bike, two bikes each and it's going to have no frame contact holding the bike by the front tire here using this wheel hook and the back tire with a wheel strap. No frame contact makes this a great option for carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes making this a very versatile rack in terms of what bikes it can work with. more

Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack Review - 2023 Honda CR-V- Video
Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination E bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Honda CR-V. The Destination E is a platform style bike rack, holding the bike in these trays and primarily by our frame using this frame clamp. This is gonna rotate 360 degrees, move around the mast on the back here, and allow us to meet the bike where it is, that makes it a great option for alternative frame bikes. And with this being an e-bike rack, it can support up to 70 pounds per bike, so some of our bigger e-bikes can fit on here. The one thing I would steer away from is carbon frame bikes, because frame contact already isn't good for the carbon frame, and especially a clamp like this where we're putting a lot of pressure around that frame. more

The NV is a platform-style bike rack, holding the bike in these trays with that front tire in a wheel cradle, held in by a wheel hook. That's gonna mean there's zero frame contact on the bike, making it good for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and with a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, you can get an e-bike on here too. There will be a second point of contact with the back tire in the form of a wheel strap. That's really just meant to hold that back tire down, keep it secured. more

So the OnRamp is a platform-style bike rack designed for those heavier E-bikes with a 66 pound capacity. So there's two different types of bike rack options on the market. We have the platform style, which was what this is and we have the hanging style. Now the hanging style are good, they're still good options. They're usually pretty lightweight, so they're easy to get on and off the vehicle, but one big downside to those is number one, they can't carry heavy bikes. more

So this is a great rack to choose simply because of its front wheel Mount. I like any bike racks with this because you can have your carbon frame style bikes without risking damage to the frame it's gonna be made out of steel and aluminum. So it's gonna be lighter weight. Now, this bike rack is a very minimalistic bike rack. Not a ton of frills, but it is platform-style, and it does have a frame mount that secures the bike. So, as you can see, for not having a whole lot of hardware on here, it does a really good job of holding that onto the vehicle. So, taking a closer look, we can see this hoop style, and that's gonna have any tire that's up to 2 1/2 inches to be able to sit in here. more

And the reason for this is, it's going to allow us to carry up to four bikes. And furthermore, we're going to have these two rearward cradles here, which are going to be more designed for adult bikes due to the larger spacing between them. So if you're looking for a bike rack with your CRV that is going to accommodate carbon-style bikes or even e-bikes, this is going to be a great option because it does have that maximum weight capacity of 120 pounds. So with it being wheel mounted, it will not have any contact with your frame. Also, a nice feature is it has a cradle-less wheel tray here that way you can get your bikes adjusted and situated that way there isn't any contact with the handlebars or any of the other parts of the bike making contact with each other.So we're going to go ahead and get this removed and we will take a closer look at some of the features. So you'll just release the knob here and you can move the wheel mount away, keep a hand on the bike, just like. more

Lift on the lever and slowly lower it. And we do have plenty of room. Here we have the gunmetal gray, and if you aren't needing the repair stand, there is a base model that is also available in a matte black finish. Rob: Hey everybody, Rob here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail two-bike platform-style rack on our 2019 Honda CR-V. Now I really like hitch-mounted racks because it does make it a lot easier to transport your bikes to and from the trail. Because, let's face it that we do have a decent amount of room in the back of our CR-V, but nobody wants to cram their bike in the back, potentially scratching up the inside of their car or damaging their bikes. And, if you're on the shorter side like me, getting a roof rack may not be the best option either because this is where the bottom of the rack would be and I would have to lift my bike all the way up to the roof. So I just think that a hitch-mounted rack is a lot more convenient.Now one of my favorite features about our bike rack comes in really handy. more

One of the things that's really nice about this bike rack, is how lightweight it is. It's a solid aluminum construction, which helps keep it extremely light in comparison with many other bike racks, so it's easy to load into your hitch. If you constantly wanted to have a bike rack that you load and unload, and store in your garage, this is one of the best options out there. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Honda CR-V TH9056- Video
Hi there, CR-V owners. Today, in your 2019 Honda CR-V, we're going to be taking a look at Thule's Hanging 4-Bike rack.This rack can hold up to four bikes. Each bike is held in place using three cradles, two for your top bar and one for the vertical bar. The vertical bar helps prevent it from rattling back and forth to prevent bike-to-bike contact, as well as bike-to-rack contact. Each of the cradles features a rubberized pad on them to give it a soft surface to ride on, as well as to keep it from slipping around, and there's grooves located in each of the pads, so that way there's a channel for your brake cables to sit in, so that way they won't rub up against your frame causing any abrasions or scratches to it.When you're ready to use your bike, it's easy to take it off. Simply press in on the lever, and then you can slide the Cam Buckle strap out. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Honda CR-V- Video
Hi there CRV owners. Today, on our 2019 Honda CRV, we're going to be taking a look at Swagman's Current 2 Bike Platform Rack. This rack is designed for not only your road bikes but as well as your mountain bikes, your fat bikes, and E-bikes. Unlike hanging bike racks that hold it by the frame, this one has two cradles, one for each wheel that holds it in place with the cam buckle straps, and then a hook here on top that cinches it down tight so that way it can't go anywhere.One of the nice features about this rack is that you can tilt it away while the bikes are loaded on it, even if you've got E-bikes loaded up on it, which are a little bit heavy and can be difficult to remove. We simply pull the lever here at the bottom and then our bikes can tilt away. This way, we can get access to the back of the vehicle. more

Thule Apex XT 4 Bike Rack Review - 2017 Honda CR-V- Video
Jake: Hey, guys, Jake here at etrailer. Today we have a 2017 Honda CR-V. We're going to be a test fit of the Thule Apex XT Four-Bike Rack.This is going to be a handing-style bike rack. You'll have three different points of contact, two up here on your top tube strapping into the rack and then one on our down tube here. This is going to be our anti-sway cradle to take away the swaying of your bike to reduce bike-to-bike contact.You are going to have two different points of security on the bike rack, one being our cable lock that'll open up and attach into the end of your bar here. It'll go over your top tube, securing your bikes to the rack when you're not with your bikes. more

Today you're going to be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro Hanging Style 4-Bike Rack on our 2019 Honda CRV.Now our Hitching Post Pro is going to allow us to carry up to four bikes to and from the trail. It's going to alleviate that problem of having to cram your bikes in the back in the cargo area or having to worry about getting a roof rack and reaching all the way up to put your bikes on and unload them. This is going to be a lot easier and more secure way to get your bikes there, but since it's a hanging style bike rack we're going to have three points of contact.We're going to have two on the cross tube here and one on the vertical support. Now this one on the vertical support's going to act like an anti-sway so it's going to prevent the bike from swinging too much and preventing that bike to bike contact.Well let's go ahead and remove the straps so we can pull our bike off and take a closer look. The straps here, we can just pull on them and pull the rubber strap off the little hook. more

Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com and today you're going to be taking a look at the Thule Camber two hang style bike rack on our 2018 Honda CRV.Now our Thule Camber is going to allow us to take two bikes to and from the trail. It's going to prevent us from having to cram the bikes in the back of our CRV or having to reach up top over our roof rack. It's going to be a really secure, easy way to get those bikes to and from.Now our Camber is going to have three points of contact whenever it's holding our bike in place. We'll have two on the cross tube here and one on the vertical support. And the one on the vertical support is going to prevent any kind of bike to bike contact and really minimize that swaying action that goes on.So we'll go ahead and take our bike off so we can take a closer look. It's going to be a lot easier and a safe, secure way to get our bikes to and from the trail.Now it is a hanging style bike rack, so it's going to have three points of contact. We'll have two on the cross-to on the top and the one on the vertical support here. That's going to act like an anti-sway cradle, so it's going to prevent the bike from swaying too much and that bike to bike contact.Let's go and pull our bike off, so we get a closer look. Just pull the rubber straps off and pull our bike off and set it aside. With our bike out of the way, if we look inside the cradle here, we can see that it's going to have these few channels. more

Now the Camber's going to allow us to carry up to four bikes to and from the trail. It's going to prevent us from having to cram the bikes into the cargo area of our CRV or having to use a roof rack and reach all the way above our head.Now since it's a hanging style bike rack, it's going to use three points of contact. We'll have two on the upper cross tube here and then one on the vertical support. The one on the vertical support is going to act as an anti sway to prevent those bikes from swinging too much and making bike to bike contact. We are going to remove our bikes so we can take a closer look.If we come to the lever here, we can press it in, and we can start feeding the straps out until they're completely out of that buckle. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Honda CR-V- Video
Speaker 1: Today, on our 2017 Honda CRV, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule T2 Pro XTB. This is available as a two bike platform, if you have an inch and a quarter hitch. If you have a two inch hitch, you can get it in a two bike platform or a four bike platform. All of these combinations can come in either silver or black. The greatest feature of this bike rack is how easy it is to lower it down. The handle at back releases letting it go down, unlike other bike racks where you have to fumble around with pins and clips up here to get it to lower down, and then the same thing when pulling it back up into place. more
