Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 GMC Terrain- Video

Hey, everybody. Today, we're gonna be going over the Hollywood Racks Destination two-bike rack, here on a 2022 GMC Terrain. So here is what our bike rack is gonna look like on our vehicle with one bike attached. Now the backup camera is probably not gonna be very useful when you have two bikes on there, but that's to be expected with pretty much any bike rack on the back of this vehicle. Now in regards to your rear view glass here, the handlebars are probably gonna stick up a little bit, but you're still gonna have some decent visibility, and you obviously still have your mirrors to use on the sides as well. So you're not really foregoing any safety here, you're just gonna be foregoing some of the convenience features such as your rear view camera. more

Number one, your reverse camera is gonna be mostly blocked by the bike rack and your bike. So, you're not gonna get great visibility out of that when you do have the bike rack attached. more

Now first off, I really like this rack, one because it looks really nice, has a sleek look to it. But also because of the features it has. One thing that really comes in handy is the fact that we can actually tilt the bike away without removing our bike from it. Curt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 GMC Terrain- Video

Our Curt rack is going to allow us to carry two bikes to and from the park or the trail. Now it is going to have a frame mount hook right here in the center, and our wheels are going to be in these wheel hoops. Now, one of the problems that comes into play when you're carrying a couple of bikes with you, whether it's one, two or more, is that if we need to get into our back hatch, a lot of times when you have to pull our bike off or completely take the rack off. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 GMC Terrain TH9025XT- Video

Now our Thule Apex is going to allow us to carry up to four bikes to and from the trail. And it's going to prevent us from having to try to cram our bikes into the back seat or the back hatch area. And it's also going to prevent us from having to reach all the way on top and load and unload our bikes on our roof rack. Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 GMC Terrain, we're going to be test fitting Kuat's NV 2.0 two by platform rack. This comes in gunmetal gray with part number NV22G and a metallic black with part number NV22B.This is going to be a premium bike rack. This versions gonna allow you to carry two bikes and it has a no frame contact which is particularly important if you have a carbon fiber bike. Your bikes secured into place by the arm that contacts your wheel and the cradle here in the front. And it holds the rear in place by it's wheel using a ratcheting strap. The ratcheting strap slides in this channel to accommodate various size bikes. more

Thule Helium Aero Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 GMC Terrain- Video

Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain we're going to be test fitting the Thule Helium Aero, a tilting 2 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number TH9042. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this we'll want to be sure to pull out on the attached pin. We'll now line up our pin hole, allow the attached pin to drop in, and turn the black knob located on the left side. This will engage our anti-rattle device and further secure the rack to our vehicle. In this position we have about 12-1/4" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 1-3/4" away. Overall we've added about 17" to the length of the car. more

Softride Element Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2013 GMC Terrain- Video

Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain we're going to be test fitting the Softride Element Parallelogram, a tilting 4-bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches with part number SR26248. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. In this position we'll have about 12 and a quarter inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle's about three and an half inches away, and overall we've added about 12 and a quarter inches to the length of the car. Pulling the two silver pins at the top of the mast will allow us to swing out our dual cradle arms. We'll rotate them into position and reinsert the pins to hold them in place. With our arms extended we've added about 27 and a half inches to the Terrain. We're now ready to load our bike. We'll begin by undoing our cradle straps. more

Pulling the grey lever at the base of the rack will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle into platform position. more

Softride Dura Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 GMC Terrain- Video

Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain we're going to be test fitting the Softride Dura Parallelogram, a tilting four bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches part number Sr26247. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pinholes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. We'll then secure it using the provided lock. In this position we have about 12 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle's about six inches away and overall we've added about 37 inches to the length of the car. A great feature of the Dura Parallelogram is its removable cradle arms. By simply pushing the black levers located on the rear of the rack we can pull out our arms. With our arms removed we've only added about 15 inches to the length of the car. To replace our arms we'll simply push them in place until we hear them click. more

In this position, we have about 12-1/4 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 5-1/4 inches. Overall weve added about 13-1/2 inches to the length of the car. Pulling the yellow T-handle at the base of the rack will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see, this gives us full access into our rear hatch. more

We can then secure it with the provided clip. In this position we have about 11-1/4" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our Terrain is about 6" away. Overall we've added about 29-1/2" to the length of the vehicle. Pulling the silver pin at the base of the rack will allow us to tilt the mast away from our vehicle. As you can see this does give us great access into our rear hatch. more

Hollywood Racks Traveler Tow n Go Bike Rack Review - 2013 GMC Terrain- Video

Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain, we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Rack's Traveler Tow-and-Go, 3-bike rack for 2-inch ball mounts, part number HR135. We're going to be using the hidden hitch ball mount with a 3/4-inch rise and a 2-inch drop. It's part number is 80232, which is not included. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the ball mount into the receiver tube of our hitch. Line up our holes and install our pin and clip. With this configuration, our rack will have a little bit of a wobble to it, side-to-side. We do have anti-rattle devices available. more

Overall we've added about nine and a half inches to the length of the Terrain. Pulling the black pin at the base of the mast will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see, this does gives us full access into our rear hatch. With our mast back in its upright position and our pin reinserted we'll now pull the pin at the top of the mast. This is going to allow us to swing out our dual cradle arms. more

Pulling the red knob located on the left side of the rack will allow us to tilt it into its platform position. In this position, we have about 18-1/2 inches worth of ground clearance here at the rear. more
