Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts AfterParty Platform-Style Bike Rack. And we're gonna see how it fits on the back of our 2016 Ford F-150. The AfterParty can carry up to two bikes, and it's gonna be a great option for the F-150, because it's a swing-away bike rack. And what that means is we've got an arm down here that's controlled by this handle, and we can use it to gain full access to our truck bed. Now, this handle tightened up quite a bit, but when you loosen it up, it'll release that arm. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Swagman Espec on our 2023, Ford F-150. Going with a hitch mounted bike carrier is a great way to bring your bikes along with you when you're not towing with your hitch and you still need the space in your bed. It's a good way also to keep your bike stable and secure when you're on the road versus just loading it in the back of your truck, also. The Espec is a platform style bike carrier that is frame mounted. So essentially what that is, you're gonna have a hook that makes contact with your frame and your front and rear wheel are gonna strap into cradles. If you have a carbon fiber frame bike or a nice paint job or maybe even an unconventional frame, this wouldn't be the best option for you. more

Now the Destination Two is ideal if you're looking for a portable, compact, and lightweight bike rack. Also, this is great for if you have smaller children's bikes or bikes that have really small frames because of the versatility of this rack. The downside though, is it has a pretty low weight capacity of 35 pounds per bike. more

Swagman Skaha 2 Electric Bikes Rack Review - 2020 Ford F-150- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Skaha 2 Hitch Bike Rack and how it fits on our 2020 Ford F-150. The Skaha 2 is gonna be a two bike platform style rack, capable of holding two bikes, up to 60 pounds apiece, and it's gonna be primarily with this wheel hook here, as well as one strap down here at the back, so there's no frame contact at all. We're gonna dust support 60 pound bikes, so you can get most of the bikes that you can think of on here whether that's mountain, road or up to e-bikes. Again, as long as they do fit in that 60 pound weight limit, because there is no frame contact. You can get carbon frame and alternative frame sound bikes on here too. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over the Thule Hitching Post Pro for bike rack here on our 2021 Ford F-150. So, the Thule hitching post is what's known as a hanging style bike rack. Now, there's really two main types. We have the platform style, which you set the bike on and it holds it by the bottom of the wheels there, and we have the hanging style, which holds it by the horizontal top tube. Now, both of these bike racks are great options. Some of them are a little bit better for certain bikes than others. more

Speaker 1: Today with our 2016 Ford F-150 SuperCab, we're going to be showing you how it interact with our RockyMounts BackStage Swinging Platform Style Two-Bike Rack, part number RKY10002.What I like best about this bike rack is it has the ability to swing away, giving you full access to your truck bed or tail gate, unlike other bike racks that just tilt away, giving you partial access. To swing it back in, we can operate our two knobs. Lift up the one on the center here. We'll start bringing it in, and then we'll lift up the one on the end here and start swinging it out. Then, our blue hand knob secures it in place.It can also tilt away giving you partial bed access, and the handle is here at the rear, making it even easier. I'll lift that back up in place until it snaps in. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2005 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2005 Ford F150, we are going to be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro folding and tilting four bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number TH934XTR. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti rattle bolt and tighten it down with the wrench. In this position we'll have about 17 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our truck is about 8 inches away and overall we've only added about 18 inches to the length of our F150. Pulling the gold pin at the base of the center mast will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see this gives us full access to our tailgate. more

SportRack Super EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2005 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2005 Ford F150 Super Crew Cab, we are going to be test fitting the Sport Rack Super EZ Platform style 2 bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number SR2901LR. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of our bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll line up our pin hole and thread in our anti rattle bolt, tightening it down with the wrench and then installing the lock on the other side. The closest point of the bike rack to the rear of our vehicle is about 10 inches away and we've added about 31 inches to the overall length of our F150. We'll go ahead and pull the pins at the base of the bike rack to unfold the different parts including our center mast. Within this position, it's going to allow us to have full access to our tailgate. We'll raise up the center mast to make sure that all 3 pins are reinstalled. more

Yakima DoubleDown Ace Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford F150, well be test fitting the Yakima DoubleDown Ace 4 Bike Carrier, part number Y02451. To being our test fit, well slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, align up our pin holes, insert the pin with the red knob into the pin hole and then turn the black knob located at the base of the carrier to engage our anti-rattle device. Now lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle fit together. There are about 17 and a half inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about five and a half inches. Weve added about 12 and a half inches to the overall length of the vehicle. With this bike carrier, you will not be able to have access to your trunk bed as the tailgate hits the mast of the carrier. To load the bike, well pull the red latch located at the top of the mast, swing the cradle arms out and undo the cradle straps. more
