With the bike rack secure, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 14 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the bike rack. The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 2 inches away, and we've added about 9-1/2 inches to the overall length of our vehicle with the cradle arms folded down. We can now pull the gray lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out. With the cradle arm out we've added about 33 inches to the overall length of our Town and Country. To access the cargo area we can lift up the gray lever at the base of the bike rack and tilt the mast down. more
