Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2003 Ford E-series Cutaway van we're gonna be showing you how to install the CURT front mount trailer hitch receiver. But before we get into that, let's just take a minute, check this out and make sure it's gonna work for you. Whenever you're over the road, storage is precious. It's more or less, you're trying to make do with what you got and a lot of people overlook being able to keep things on the front of their RV when they're traveling. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2005 Ford Van - Curt- Video
Today on our 2005 Ford Van we're going to be installing the Curt Front Mounted Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 33055. Here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, a winch or a spare tire carrier. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground we have 14 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper we have 5 inches. Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. Now to begin with we're going to need to remove this plastic valance piece right here on the underside. There's a total of four push fasteners that will need to be removed, two on each side. more
