Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2019 Subaru Crosstrek, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness. So what I really like about this setup is that whenever you're not using it, it's going to be out of sight and out of the elements, but whenever you are ready to use it, it's going to be really easy. Wiring is going to be stored just inside of your hatch. Now, if we just lift up on our floor covering, we can grab our wiring storage. Now, the way this works is you're simply just going to lay the wiring across your threshold pretty much anywhere you want, other than one area, you want to avoid the latch because if the wiring gets caught in it, you could potentially pinch a wire and damage it. more

Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2019 Subaru Crosstrek- Video
Today in our 2019 Subaru Crosstrek, we're going to be installing Hopkins plug-in simple vehicle wiring harness. This four-pole wiring harness is going to provide you with all the necessary lighting you need to haul your trailer. It'll give you your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps, keeping you DOT compliant in all states. The module is pre-installed onto your harness, will protect your vehicle's circuits by shutting down any of your trailer's circuits that may have a short on them, preventing any damage to the vehicle. Located on our four-pole connector here, we have a dust cap to keep out any dirt and debris, ensuring long-lasting operation of our harness.We'll begin our installation at the back of the vehicle. You'll need to access your rear compartment, so we're going to flip this up. more

Part number 1-1-8-4-6-7.this is what our wiring looks like when it's installed. This is going to give us all the proper lighting functions to safely tow our trailer. So it's going to give you both turn signals, running lights, brake lights, and our ground. It's also going to come with an attached dust cap to keep any dirt or debris from getting onto our connections. more
