Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2004 Jeep Wrangler

Today on our 2004 Jeep Wrangler, we'll be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number C55363. You can use a flat-blade screw driver or plastic trim panel tool just to pry that plastic fastener out, and we'll pull a bit down on the flap. Once we have it down, we can expose the manufacturer's electrical connector here and note that it sometimes can be wrapped in foam to help protect it from the outside elements. Since this one's already been removed, we're going to press on the connector lock and separate the two connectors. There it goes. more

The ports that we are going to be looking for to plug our harness into are located up above this rubber covering here. So we need to pull this back to gain access to the port. You can see we have one push pin here that is holding it into place, so we need to release that first. more
