Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2022 Jeep Compass- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today, we're taking a look at installing the CURT Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2022 Jeep Compass. Adding a four-pole trailer wiring to any vehicle with a hitch is always a great idea because even if you don't ever plan on pulling a trailer, to be able to hook up to one and have the light sequence work just in case of emergency is really nice. And it's really not too hard of an install because it's custom fit. That means that you are simply just going to plug it into your factory tail lights, and that makes it nice and easy on that part. You do have to run a power wire up to the front, but other than that, it's going to keep you safe and legal whenever you're planning on towing. And the reason being is it's tying into those light sequence. more

Now, this is gonna allow you to hook up to your trailer with the connection, allowing you to stay safe and legal. Now, you can run this out of your vehicle, but we chose today to keep it in the vehicle. So with our four-plug hole, this will give us running lights, brake lights, and our two turn signals. more

Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness on our 2018 Jeep Compass. Now, our Curt wiring harness is going to provide us with a four-pole flat trailer connector so we can have all the required lights to safely and securely get down the road with our trailer, like our taillights, our turn signals, and our brake lights.Now, on our application, we decided to mount our wiring on the outside using a four-pole bracket. That way, it's easily accessible when we hook up our trailer. However, keep in mind that the current wiring is designed to stay on the inside of the vehicle until you're ready to use it, but it's not that hard to get it on the outside, especially if you want it by your receiver tube. And the wiring is going to come with a dust cover. And if you do mount it on the outside, that's a really nice thing. more

Today on our 2018 Jeep Compass, you're gonna be taking a look at, I'm gonna show you how to install the Tekonsha T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with four pole flat trailer connector.This is what our wiring looks like when it's installed. It's gonna give us all the proper lighting functions to safely tow a trailer. It's gonna give us both turn signals, our brake lights, and our running lights. It's also gonna have an included dust cap to help cover our connections to prevent any dirt and debris from getting stuck inside. It's gonna give us five amps per circuit for our stop and turn signal, and 7.5 amps per circuit for our taillights. This wiring harness is gonna be adaptable with five, six and seven pole adapters. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Jeep Compass we're here to take a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install, the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connectors, part number 118539. This is what our wiring looks like when it's installed. This is going to give us all our proper lighting functions to safely tow our trailer. It's going to give us our right turn signal, left turn signal, our brake lights, our running lights, and our ground.The nice thing about this wiring harness is it's going to have an attached dust cap. Because the hitch is up behind the fascia, it's hard to put any kind of bracket to hold our wiring in place, but because this dust cap is attached, you can double it as a holder when you're not using your wiring to help keep it from dragging the ground. What's more important about this is this box right here. more

Today on our 2016 Jeep Compass, we're going to be showing you how to install the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Part number is 118539. This is what your wiring kit is going to look like when you pull it out of the package. Here, of course, is what we're after, our 4-flat trailer connector. You can see a nice dust cover connected to it. This is going to give us brake lights. It's going to give us blinkers. more

Curt Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Jeep Compass- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Compass well be installing a Curt tee connector vehicle wire harness with four poll flat connector, part number C56129. To begin our install well first open up the rear hatch and then well need to remove the rear taillight assemblies. Starting here on the drivers side, well go ahead and remove the two fasteners that secure the rear taillight assembly. To remove the fasteners well use a flat blade screwdriver and pry out on the center section and then remove the entire piece. Note: This is a two piece fastener so the center section can be completely out and then remove the second half. Now with the fasteners out of the way we will go head and gently pop the rear taillight lens towards the rear of the vehicle releasing the fasteners underneath, here and here. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Jeep Compass- Video
Today, on this 2012 Jeep Compass, we're going to install part number 118539 from Tow Ready. The first thing we'll do is go ahead and open the tail gate and we need to remove the tail lights. We have to remove the two plastic rivets. we'll get started with a screw driver and then we can use a trim tool to remove them. Then we'll disconnect the latch core harness, push down the tab right here and push down here and we should be able to disconnect it. Alright, we'll do the same process over on the passenger's side. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Jeep Compass- Video
Today on a 2011 Jeep Compass, were going to install part number 118539 from Tow-Ready. First thing we need to do is go ahead the tailgate and remove the two taillights. We have to remove these two plastic rivets so I can remove the taillights. Well disconnect the taillights from the wire harness by pushing up on this red lock right here and pushing right here so we can remove it. With the driver side done, lets repeat the same process on the passenger side. Well start installing the harness, well take half of the green wire, well run it through behind the bumper and out the bottom of the other side. more
