Rob: Hey everybody, it's Rob here at etrailer.com. And today, we're taking a look at the Curt Trailer Wiring Harness on our 2017 GMC Terrain. Now, our Curt Harness is to provide us with a four pole flat trailer connector, so we have all the required lights to get down the road when we're pulling a trailer, like our taillights, our turn signals, and our stoplights. Now it's nice the fact that they give us a dust cover so we can keep all that dirt, debris, and everything else out of the connector. But, our wiring is only going to be on the outside of the vehicle when we're using it. When we're not using it, it's actually going to store on the inside. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 GMC Terrain, we're gonna be installing the T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness for factory tow packages, Part number 118264. So now when you're ready to use your connector, just lift up your panels, grab your harness tucked away. Now you can unravel it, you can run it out the back. It's best to store it off to one side away from the latch, whichever side that your connector and the trailer is on. Close your lift gate. This is gonna have all your necessary connections, your left turn, right turn, tail lights and brake lamps. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 GMC Terrain we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 56094.This is what our wiring looks like when it's installed. It's gonna give you all the proper lighting functions for your trailer; give you your turn signals, your brake lights, your running lights, and your ground. It's also gonna come with a dust cap, that can second as a holder when you're not using your wiring, to help keep it from dragging the ground. This wiring harness is a very simple installation, just has two connections, one behind each tail light, and your ground wire.First thing we're gonna do to start our installation, is we need to get access to our tail lights. We're gonna take a plastic trim panel tool, you can use a screw driver if you want to. We're gonna pop off these two caps. more
