Curt 5th Wheel Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Ford F-150- Video

Curt 5th Wheel Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Ford F-150

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt custom in-bed wiring for fifth wheel and goosenecks on a 2017 Ford F150. If you have a gooseneck or fifth wheel, you have a seven pole from your trailer that you need to plug in and instead of draping it over your tailgate and trying to get into your factory seven way you can get this harness extension which plugs into your factory seven way and allows you to plug in in-bed making it nice and easy to have your plug right here. It's gonna keep that cable nice and protected in the bed as well. Super easy to do. You are gonna need to drill a hole and being that this is an aluminum bed, it's nice, they actually come with some zerk fittings that you're gonna put in there that will allow you to get this on your aluminum bed with no problem. It's not gonna cause any rust or corrosion long term. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Ford F-150- Video

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Ford F-150

Today on our 2017 Ford F150, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness with a 7-way trailer connector. Here's what our wiring's going to look like once we have it installed. Now keep in mind that the brackets to mount it up are not going to come with the kit, so you may want to pick up a 7-pull bracket and a long bracket to mount to your hitch. Our wiring is going to give us a 7-way RV style connector so we'll have all of our light functions, our clearance lights, turn signals, brakes and reverse lights, and the option to put in a brake controller later on down the road. The nice thing about our wiring is that it is custom designed for our Ford F150 so we're not going to have to cut or splice any wires. It's just going to simply plug in with a t-connector and if we have the factory 4-way on the back of our truck, we can also keep that, so now we can tow a couple different kinds of trailers. If you're looking to replace your factory 7-way, or add one to the 4-pull you already have, this is going to be a great option so we can continue to tow and be safe going down the road.So now we've taking a look at our wiring and seen the end result, let's show you how to get it installed. To begin installation, we're going to move underneath, and if we follow our 4-way wire and we follow up it will connect to this connector right here. It's going to be a black connector. more
