Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'll show you how to install your Yakima Roof Rack system on your 2022 Toyota Highlander. If you are looking for a sleek, easy to use roof rack system that you can carry around fun accessories like kayaks or a bike rack, or even expand your cargo space through the roof box or roof basket, well our Yakima roof rack here is gonna be a good option for you. Something very unique to the Yakima Skyline system is how easy it is to take off and reattach. So you just pull the end caps, you can lift it off of the landing pad and you even get little storage covers to put on top so that you have a very sleek system. So this keeps the functionality of having a roof rack, but if you don't want the roof rack on, you can take it right off. What I've found though with the Highlander is there really isn't a reason to take off your crossbars because look at the roof of the car. more

Hi, Matt with eTrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Yakima JetStream roof rack system, on the 2023 Toyota Highlander. Taking a closer look at our system, it's gonna be comprised of our 50-inch JetStream crossbars, our skyline towers, and our landing pad bases. Those are all gonna work together to kinda give you some extra space up top if you wanna carry any roof boxes or kayaks too. Our crossbars are gonna be made of aluminum with a black powder coat finish. It just means it's gonna be lightweight and corrosion resistant. Even though it's made of aluminum, it can still withhold 165 pounds. more

So our universal trailer brake controller install kit is going to do just what it sounds like with the title. It's going to allow us to install a trailer brake controller and tow a trailer with brakes using our Highlander here. So it is a universal kit so we're going to be able to use it on any vehicle, but it is going to be a perfect option here for this Highlander.It does come with everything we need for this process to install a brake controller. Some of these components are going to be the circuit breakers. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2012 Toyota Highlander 90885- Video
All right, today, on this 2012 Toyota Highlander, we're going to install part number 90885. This is the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller. Now, to help us to install this brake controller, we're also going to use part number ETBC7. This is the Brake Controller Install Kit. We're going to start with that part number first. Now, ETBC7 kit will contain a 7-pole connector and all parts requiring to go up to our brake controller up towards the front. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2014 Toyota Highlander- Video
Today on our 2014 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be installing the Teconsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller, part number 39510. Some other parts that we'll also be using today during our installation is the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controllers, part number ETBC7, as well as dielectric grease, part number 11755. Now, without your trailer connected to your vehicle, the brake controller will not have any lights on. When you plug your trailer on, you'll notice that the light comes on. Now, you will need to set your brake controller for your individual trailer following the manufacturer's instructions. Now, we'll go ahead and begin our install. We're going to begin here at the rear of the vehicle. This vehicle already has a four-flat wiring installed but we're going to need to remove the factory bracket. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2010 Toyota Highlander 90195- Video
Today in this 2010 Toyota Highlander, were going to install the Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller, part number 90195. To install this brake installer, well also be using the ETBC7 kit and a tow-ready universal mounting bracket, part number 18136. First Im going to install my seven-pole bracket that comes in my kit with the universal mounting bracket. Next, well go ahead and put our bracket on the hitch. Once I have my bracket attached, Ill just use a pair of tune snips to cut off the access from the band. Now weve got our simple bracket and universal mounting bracket attached to the hitch, well go ahead and install our seven pole connector. more
