The red lights will come on for your stop and turn and taillight functions, while the white lights illuminate when you place your vehicle in reverse. It's fully sealed and waterproof. It's designed to be surface-mounted and have a seamless look. It fills the gap between your tailgate and bumper. That would be our taillights, left turn, right turn. more

Today on our 2011 Honda Accord we're going to show you how to install the Putco PURE High-Performance H11 Halogen Bulbs in Nitro Blue, Part Number is P230011NB. These are going to give us that HID kind of a look, that little bit of a blue coloration as we're heading down the road. The great thing about our lights, they meet all Department of Transportation standards, so we're not going to have to worry about anything there. These produce 55 watts at 12 volts, and they offer a color temperature that's about 4400K. To begin our installation we want to cut our wheel all the way over to the opposite side we're going to be working on. We're on our passenger side, the wheel is cut all the way to the drivers side. There's going to be a Phillips head screw right here that we're going to remove, then a Phillips head fastener right here. more

On our passenger side, you can see our old incandescent bulb, and on our driver's side, you can see our Putco LED light. This high intensity LED offers more light than an incandescent factory bulb. It emits 360 degrees of light, and boosts visibility. Because it's LED, it's going to be more efficient, last a lot longer, and there are no bulbs to replace. more

Today on this 2008 GMC Acadia we're going to show you the Vision X H7 Halogen Headlight Bulbs . Part Number VX-LH7 Now we have one side already installed in our vehicle. You can tell on the passenger side that's a lot brighter. It look more clear on that side compared to the factory one which is on our driver's side. Now a few things to know about light bulbs is that you can tell in our comparison test, they going to shine up to 30% brighter and at the 25% farther than the factory bulbs; and you could see it has a brighter light to it so it makes it a little bit easier to see things. Increases depth perception and also reduces eye strain. These light bulbs are rated for 55 watts and with this Part Number you get 2 bulbs. So let's go ahead and install the second bulb. To install the light bulbs you need to get the vehicle ready to do that. In this case we're going to take the steering wheel, we'll go ahead and steer it towards the left hand side, easy access to the inside. We'll have to remove these screws on the inside edge of the fender liner. more

It has a super-white beam. It also has a blue tint to it that resembles a high-intensity, discharge lighting. This also provides better reflection off road signs and markers and is tinted to shine about 30% brighter and up to 25% farther than the factory bulbs on a typical vehicle. Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Silverado we'll be installing the Vision X 9005 Halogen headlight bulb, part number VX-L9005. This is the Vision X vehicle lights. They're a cool blue look with a bright light and can help reduce eye fatigue. Now let's go ahead and take a look at a comparison. Looking at the current or original headlights and then both Vision X bulbs installed. As you can see, with the cool blue look and a greater light output it will make it a lot easier to travel down the road safely. Now taking a look directly at the headlights we can see the low beam is the top bulb and the high beam is the bottom bulb. Use a replacement bulb for the current original manufacturers installed bulbs and deliver more light output and greater visibility and comes with a lifetime warranty. Now to install the new bulbs on most gas applications we will not have a battery in this position so you can simply reach around it, but most diesel applications will have a battery so you'll have to remove the battery in order to access the back of the headlight assemblies to remove the old bulbs. To remove the battery we're going to start with the negative battery post. more

Today on our 2013 Chevy Cruze, we'll be installing the Putco Headlights, part number P230013NB. This is a Putco halogen bulb that offers a bright blue tint to improve visibility. This light will replace the factory bulb while giving it a new nitro blue look. It's got 55 watts for the low beam and 60 watts for the high beam. The bulb type is an H13, also comes with a 1-year warranty. Now to replace the bulb, we've gone ahead and opened the hood, we'll locate the manufacturer's wiring harness that goes into the back of the headlight socket. To disconnect the manufacturer's wiring, we'll pull back on the gray locking tab, press on the locking tab for the connector, and remove it from the back of the tail light. more

Now, before we begin our installation of the new bulbs, we're going to show you what the old bulbs look like so we can do a comparison later. As you could see here, this vehicle actually has one burned out headlight bulb and the other one is not very bright. To begin our installation, we're going to first need to raise the hood of the vehicle. With the hood of the vehicle raised, we're going to go ahead and begin over here on the driver side. We'll need to remove this bolt here as well as right here. To do that, we'll simply use a 10 millimeter socket. more

Today on our 2005 Volkswagen Jetta new body style we'll be installing the Putco PURE High Performance H7 halogen light bulb part number P230007SW. First we'll go ahead and show you the old or manufacturer's bulb. Now we'll go ahead and replace the manufacturer's bulb on the passenger side. To do this we'll open up the hood, then remove the rear headlight cover by turning it, unlocking it and setting it aside. Then we'll grab the bulb socket, twist it to unlock and remove the socket and bulb. Now we can go ahead and remove the bulb from the socket, install the new Putco PURE High Performance headlight and then reinstall the socket into the headlight assembly. Once we have the socket locked back into position we'll go ahead and reinstall the cover and lock it back into place. Now we can close the hood and we can go ahead and compare the two bulbs. We'll have the new Putco PURE High Performance bulb on the passenger side and the old or manufacturer's bulb on the driver side. As you can see our new PURE High Performance bulb easily replaces the factory headlight bulb. Now, to match the passenger side we're going to go ahead and we're going to do the same process on the driver side. more

Putco PURE Premium LED Dome Light Kit Installation - 2013 Ford F-250

Today on our 2013 Ford F250 we'll be test fitting the Putco Pure Premium LED Dome Light Kit for the front and for the rear, part number P980279. These lights are 18 times brighter than traditional bulbs. They have a long life, more than 50,000 hours, and these lights have a super-low voltage consumption which saves power. We'll begin our test fit here up in the front of the vehicle, and using a screwdriver we'll remove the plastic cover for the front two set of lights. Now this is a delicate process so being careful not to put too much pressure, as you can break the plastic tabs which keep the cover in place. Once we have the cover off you can see that there's an aluminum covering which is used to project the light downward. We can pull that foil back and simply pull out the bulb. We'll then need to push the aluminum cover back up into place to be able to install our new Putco lights. more

Putco Plasma 921 LED Lights Installation - 2002 Toytoa Tundra

Today, on our 2002 Toyota Tundra we're going to be installing the Putco Plasma 921 LED lights, part number P240921W-360. We'll lower the tailgate to gain access to the two bolts that hold our taillights in place here on the passenger's side. We'll go ahead and loosen those up, remove our taillights and we'll be switching out the reverse bulb here at the very bottom. We'll go ahead and twist it counterclockwise and pull it out of its position. Now when handling the new LED bulb, we want to be sure not to get any oil from our skin onto the bulbs so we'll be using a shop towel to handle the LED bulb. We'll take our new bulb and stick it into the socket and then we'll push it until we feel it seat down into place. Then we'll take our socket and place into our housing, turning it clockwise to secure it into place. Then we'll take our taillight, line up the tabs and push it back into place. We'll secure it by re-installing the two bolts. Here you can see the difference between the two bulbs. more

Today on our 2012 Honda Odyssey, we will be installing the Putco Pure Premium 7443 LED bulbs with 360 degree illumination, Part No. P237443W360. All right, the first thing we'll do is open the rear hatch door of our Honda. We will remove the two screws which secure the taillight to the van. After we have removed the screws, we go ahead and just slide the taillight out. Please take note of the two alignment pins that will help reinstall the taillight later on. Now to completely remove the taillight, all we have to do is twist the two sockets, removing the bulbs from the taillight. With the bulbs exposed, we are going to remove the old taillight bulb and get ready to install the new LED one. Now it's not necessary but it is recommended before installing the new bulb, to go ahead and add a little dielectric grease. more

Here are the old manufacturers standard halogen bulbs, and now here's what it looks like with the new Putco PURE high-performance bulbs. Now, to install our new headlights, we'll first go ahead and raise the hood. Then, we'll remove the cover from the back of the headlight. First, we'll go ahead and try to remove the electrical connector. If over time it becomes corroded and difficult to remove, it may be necessary to remove the clip first, pull the headlight assembly out, then remove the electrical connector from the back of the headlight as in this case. We're ready to install the new headlight. To do this, we'll go ahead and put the headlight into position first and then secure it with the clip. more

Now for demonstration purposes here we've replaced the driver side with the new Putco halogen bulb. The passenger side still has the factory bulb installed. As you can see here, the passenger side of the vehicle is much more yellow, whereas the driver side is much bright and more of an ultra-white in color. Go ahead and begin here by raising the hood up. Now on this side, the passenger side, it's simply right here so there's nothing that has to be removed to get the bulb out on the passenger side side. more

All right, today on this 2012 Toyota 4Runner, we're going to install part number P980054, the Putco Pure Premium LED Dome-Light Kit. To start off with our install, we're going to work with the lights, they're above the center console on the dash. First, we need to remove the lens. Using a very small flat screwdriver, we'll go ahead and gently pop it loose from the hinges, then we can work it down. Next we need to remove the existing bulb inside. Once we have our bulb removed, we can go ahead and install the new LED bulb from Putco, this just simply pushes into place. Once it's in place, make sure it's secure, then we'll go ahead and reinstall the lens. more

Today on our 2005 Chevy Tahoe, well be installing the Putco Pure High Performance Halogen light bulb, part number p239006sw. This will be bulb type 9006 that will carry 55 watts at 12 volts and has a one year warranty. To replace the bulb, well simply open up the hood and then for this application we need to remove the headlight bucket. To do this well remove the two pins that secure it in position by turning the pin 45 degrees well go ahead and release it from its lock and pull up removing it. Well go ahead and work the headlight bucket out to where we get access to the wiring. Now well go ahead and take the low beam or outside light socket out of the headlight bucket by turning it, unlocking it from its tabs. more

Tailgate Light Strip Installation

Today on this 2008 Ford F-150 we will be showing you how to install the Bully LED tailgate fire strip part number TLB-001. The tailgate fire strip installs at the back of the bed in between the tailgate and the bumper. The fire strip installs to that area using a double sided adhesive tape so we will need to clean that area out before we can install it. For video purposes I am actually going to remove the tailgate. That will make it a lot easier. With the tailgate removed we can test fit the fire strip. The kit comes preassembled with the two longer pieces together which for some vehicles will be enough. There is a 24 inch extension piece that can go directly in the middle for vehicles that are a little bit wider. Just give it a test fit to see if you are going to need that extension piece or not. 00:44 more
