Now the Gravity is going to be an excellent way to carry up to three pairs of fat skis or two snowboards. Taking a look at our carrier, we can see that there are two layers of rubber, one on top and one on the bottom, to help protect our items from any unnecessary damage from the carrier. Kuat Grip Slide Out Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9- Video

Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat Grip on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. The Kuat Grip is going to be a great way to carry around up to four pairs of skis, two snowboards or certain variations in between. Even if you have some of your oversized gloves on for skiing or snowboarding, you can simply kind of push up on the grip and even with my palm open, it does just kind of rise up and keep itself into place. Now we are able to access these skis fairly easily because they're a little bit towards the front. However, if you did have something more towards the back, we can activate the Kuat Grip's slide out feature with these little tabs that are just right here towards the top which does move all our accessories further out and make them even easier to grab and hit the slopes. more

Hey, everybody, Cooper here from Etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima Fatcat EVO ski and snowboard carrier on our 2022 GMC Terrain. The Fatcat can carry up to four pairs of skis, two snowboards, or maybe even some fishing rods during the off seasons. These nice oversized buttons here ensure that even if we were hitting the slopes with those big gloves on that we simply press that, and they lift up all on their own. So while we are loading or unloading our gear, we actually don't have to worry about supporting these. They stay open themselves, allowing us to simply grab our gear and hit the slopes. more

Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack ski and snowboard carrier, our 2021 Nissan Rogue. Now this particular model is going to be able to accommodate up to four pairs of skis or two snowboards. However, there are different models available here at etrailer that accommodate more or less. Also, a fun fact about our carrier is that's going to be able to carry some fishing rods too, which is a great use for it during the off season from skiing and snowboarding. In order to open up our carrier, we have these nice really big buttons right here, which means that even if we are wearing those ski and snowboarding gloves that we need throughout the day, we just take our pump and go ahead and open our jaws up. more

How's it going, everyone Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Ski and Snowboard Carrier and seeing how it fits on our 2021 Kia K5. This is going to be the four ski, two board option, but there is a six ski, three, and two ski version available as well, and each of those are going to double as fishing rod holders in the warmer weather seasons, so it's a great entry level way to get skis and snowboards or fishing rods up on top of your roof and where you need them to go safely, so let's check them out. The carrier is going to be able to support 53 pounds. We're gonna open them up just by pressing these large buttons on the end, which I can do with the palm of my hand, which is nice. If I am skiing or snowboarding, I probably have mittens or gloves on, and once they're open, they stay open, and we can take a closer look at the jaws. So they do have padding on both the top and the bottom, not only to cushion and protect our gear, but it's going to keep it from sliding back and forth. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima FreshTrack Ski and Snowboard Carrier and how it fits on our 2021 Volkswagen Atlas. This is the four pair of ski or two board option, but there is a six ski, four board option available as well. So you've got your Atlas and you're looking for a way to get your skis and snowboards where you need them to go, but they're pretty long and they do tend to get icy and snowy, especially after you use them, so you might wanna get them up on the roof, and a ski and snowboard carrier like this is a great option to do it, especially on the Atlas with our raised rails, super easy to get the crossbars on there and the roof rack as well as the carrier, so let's check out how it works. First thing we'll do is get the carrier opened up, so you can just do it with the palm of your hand, super easy, the whole end cap is a button basically, so if you have large gloves or mittens on in the cold, super easy still to get them open, and they're hinged so they stay open, I don't have to keep holding them while I load or unload my gear. On the inside, you can see that there is nice rubber padding on the top and the bottom, not only to protect your gear, but it's gonna keep it from sliding around when you're driving. more

To open the carrier up, first thing we wanna do is push these buttons. They're a little bit recessed, so you should still be able to get them with your palm, but if you have big gloves or mittens on, it might prove to be a little bit tricky. more

It's a compact carrier that's gonna help you get those skis and snowboards that might be snowy or icy or you don't wanna have in your car, you don't have room for 'em up on your roof and where you need 'em to go. So let's check it out. Looking at how the carrier holds our skis, you could see that it just holds 'em in the jaws which we can open up by pressing these pretty large buttons which you can do with your palm, but they are a little bit recessed compared to some other carriers, so might be a little bit difficult but you should be able to do it with your mittens or your heavy gloves. more

This is a four ski, two board option, but there is a six ski, four board option as well. And they double as fishing rod carriers in the warmer weather seasons, too. This one's gonna be capable of supporting 92.6 pounds. Keeping in mind that your crossbars, the feet, and your roof all have different weight ratings combined with whatever else you might be putting on there, so go by the lowest-rated component. The jaws of the carrier hold onto gear with these rubberized strips, we'll get these open using these very large buttons on the front. more

So if you're looking to get longer pairs of skis or snowboards where you can need them to go you don't want to keep the wet skis and snowboards in the car or you just don't have room for them, a ski and snowboard carrier like this one from Yakima might be a good option for you. It's just gonna hold your boards or skis in place with these rubberized moldings through these jaws of the actual carrier. Hey, this is Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima Fresh Track Ski and Snowboard Carrier and how it fits on our 2017 Toyota Rav4. This carrier is capable of holding up to four pairs of skis or two snowboards. So, it's just gonna be a good way to get some of these bigger ski and snowboards that you might not be able to fit, or not want to keep in your car, 'cause they get icy and snowy, up on top of your roof and keep them stable and secure while you're driving. Taking a closer look at the carrier, you can see that there are some pretty large buttons on the outside, so if you do have big gloves on, or mittens when you're actually out in the snow you're gonna be able to get those up with no problem. Additionally, you can see that the molding on the inside is rubberized, so it's soft and it won't damage your actual gear while you're driving. more

How's it going, everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the FatCat EVO ski and snowboard carrier on the top of our 2022 GMC Sierra. The one that we have here is capable of holding two boards or four pairs of skis. We do also have an option that holds four boards or six pairs of skis as well, and it will double as a fishing rod carrier in the warmer seasons. This carrier is capable of supporting up to 92.6 pounds as long as you're able to fit all of your gear within the actual padded portion of the carrier. As you can see, it doesn't take up the full length of our crossbars either, which is a nice feature because you could get more things on the roof carrier or the roof rack system like maybe a smaller roof basket or a kayak if you have room for that. more

It's gonna be a great way to get some larger items, you might not wanna keep in the trunk or they might not fit to where you need them to go, especially ski and snowboard carriers and these specifically do double fishing rod carriers in the warmer seasons as well. A nice feature that this carrier offers is the ability to push these buttons. Even if you do have some larger mittens on or gloves, just to keep your hands warm, you don't have to take those off and this rubberized molding not only cushions what you have in the actual carrier, but it'll keep it in place as well. more
