This bike rack is gonna be great for carrying a lot of different styles of bikes as well as the weight capacities. This bike rack is gonna be great for hauling any bike that is up to 40 pounds per tray and the front wheel mount is gonna make it great for your carbon frame styled bikes because you're not gonna warp or damage the frame. And it's also gonna be great for your women's step through bikes or really any frame that's odd shaped. One of the cool features about this rack is the tilt away feature. And that way we can leave our bikes on and still have room to jump on the tailgates to grab our helmets or waters, whatever we need for our bike ride. Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Ford Taurus- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over the Swagman XC2 two bike rack here on our 2018 Ford Taurus. Now the Swagman XC2 is an excellent entry level bike rack option for you and a friend. So there's two main types of bike racks, there's the hang style and then there's a flat horn style. Now the hang style generally or more cost effective, they're also a little bit lighter. However this particular platform rack here, really does both of those things well as well, because it only weighs about 25 pounds, therefore it's easy to get on and off the vehicle. And it's definitely at a nice price point for those entry level options. more

Hi, everyone is Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we'll be taking a look at our Yakima OnRamp two bike platform rack right here on our 2021 Ford Bronco. So the Yakima OnRamp is what I think is really a good bike rack because it's designed to work with a ramp. If you have extra heavy electric bikes, if you have step through bikes, if you just have bikes that are difficult to lift up onto your Ford Bronco since it does sit kind of high up, up above the ground you can use the ramp, make it a lot easier for yourself. So we're gonna take a look at some of different specs some of the different measurements and features in relations to the Ford Bronco to see if it's the right fit for you, for your bicycles and your car. Before anything else though, I want to say that I am currently using a hitch extender that's because we have a spare tire on our Bronco and pretty much any other bike rack could not fit around that spare tire, especially since we had the factory tool package to factory hitch. more

Now, the other style of bike rack is known as a platform-style bike rack, and that usually holds the bike either by the wheels, or a frame hook that comes down on the top of the frame. Now, both hanging and platform-style bike racks are great options, but they are gonna be better for certain bikes than others. Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Ford Explorer, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Helium Pro bike rack. So the rack that we have here today on our Explorer can hold up to a total of two bikes. But if you need to carry an extra one, there's a three bike version available as well. So kind of my first impressions as we put the rack on our Explorer is that it is going to sit up a little high. So you are going to be able to see it as you're looking through your rear view mirror behind you. more

However, if you don't need to carry two, there's a one bike version available as well.And one of the big things that really separates this rack from a lot of the others is how it's going to secure your bike. We're going to have a wheel hook here for each tire, and that's not something you usually see. A lot of other platform style racks only have that one wheel hook with a small strap or something back here. more

So the rack that we have here today can hold up to a total of four bikes. But if you don't need to carry that many, there's a two bike version available as well. One of the big questions we get asked all the time in regards to hitch mounted bike racks is if you're still going to be able to have full access to the back of your Explorer. Well, this one does fold down out of the way and allows us to do that. Super easy, we're going to have a lever down here and whenever you pull this up, can push this down is quite a bit of space here. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2019 Ford Edge- Video

It's Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro four bike hanging style rack on our 2019 Ford Edge.Now, our Hitching Post Pro is going to allow us to take up to four bikes to and from the trail. Now, I personally really like hitch mounted bike racks. I personally think it's a lot easier than cramming them in the back of the hatch, and I don't like the idea of having a roof rack on our Edge. I'm a little bit on the shorter side, and I just don't like the idea of having to lift my bike this high, and being this close to the paint. So a hitch mounted carrier is going to make it a lot easier on our backs, because we're not going to be lifting our bikes as high, and again, we don't have to be so close to the car and worry about any kind of scratches or damage.Our Hitching Post Pro is going to hold our bike at three different points. more

The way the rack works is really simple. We're going to have two straps here on the top tube and a strap right here. Now this is actually going to act as an anti-sway strap and that's going to help prevent that side to side movement. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Ford EcoSport- Video
Hey everybody, Rob here at etrailer.com, and today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Helium Pro two hanging style bike rack on our 2018 Ford Eco Sport. Now, our helium pro bike rack is going to allow us to take up to two bikes to and from the trail, and it's going to alleviate the problem of having to cram our bikes inside of our Eco Sport or having to get a bike rack and put it on top of the roof, because if you're like me and some other people, it's a lot easier to put a bike rack on the back of your car, rather that having to lift them up over your head and then unload them. Now, the nice thing is if you do have to take your bike rack out or whenever you take it out to store it, it is going to be extremely lightweight because our Helium Pro is actually made out of aluminum.So it's going to be lightweight, strong, and rust-proof. And since our Helium Pro is a hanging style, our bike is going to be held securely at three points of contact. We're going to have two on the top cross tube here, and then one on the vertical support. And the one on the vertical support is going to prevent the bike from swaying too much, preventing that bike to bike contact. more
