Today, on our 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Fork Down roof-mounted bike rack, part number S64710. With the factory roof-rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our testing by placing the Fork Down directly onto our crossbars. Here at the front platform, we'll bring our U bolts around the underside of our front crossbar and fit them up through the front platform. We can then secure it by tightening it with the wing nuts. We'll repeat this process for the other side of the front platform. Now, we'll move to the rear and drop our U bolt through the top of the bike rack, making sure that the bolts go around our rear crossbar. more

Today, on our 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Stretch roof-mounted bike rack, part number RKY1011. With the factory roof racksystem on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fitby placing the stretch directly onto our crossbars. Here at the front, we'll bring the straps around our front bar, removethe black plastic cover, and fit our straps into the head of the carrier. We can then use an Allen key to tighten the Allen bolt, which will tighten our straps around our bar. We'll go ahead and replace the black plastic cover and then move to the rear and loosen up our Allen bolts at our rear clamp. We'll bring our rear clamp around our rear bar, drop the Allen bolts back through, and secure it by tightening down the Allen bolts with an Allen key. With the front and rear secure, we'll go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap and make sure our skewer at the front is loose. We'll grabour bike and place it onto our bike rack, drop in our front forks down onto our skewer. We'll secure the bike first by tightening the skewer and then move to the rear and tighten with the wheel strap. more

We'll go ahead and bring our rubber-coated straps around our front bar, fit the straps into thehead of the carrier, anduse an Allen key to tighten the Allen bolt, whichwill tighten our straps around our front bar. We'll then replace the black plastic cover and move to therear clamp. We'll undo the Allen bolt so we can bring our rear clamp around our rear bar. We'll feed back through the Allen bolt, and then, we can tighten themdown with an Allen key. With the front and rear secure, we'll go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap and make sure the skewer at thefront is loose. more

Today, on our 2014 Chrysler Town and Country, we'll be test fitting the Yakima FrontLoader Wheel-Mounted Bike Rack, part number Y02103. With the factory roof rack system on our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing the frontloader directly on to our crossbars. Here at the front, we can use the T handle to secure the front part of our bike rack. We move to the rear and drop the T bolt through their appropriate slot. Then, we can use the T handle on top to secure the end or rear bar. Well go ahead and undo the wheel strap at the rear and open up our wheel mount at the front. Well grab our bike and place it under our bike rack, securing it first with the wheel mount. more

Here at the front platform, we'll need to go ahead and remove our skewer. Then we can bring our bracket around our front bar and drop our T bolt through the appropriate slot. We'll tighten it down by tightening the T handle on top. We'll place the slotted bracket around our T handle, and then we can reinstall our skewer. Here at the rear, we can bring our clamp around our rear bar, drop the T bolt through the slot, and tighten it with the T handle on top. more

With the factory roof rack system on our vehicle well begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our crossbars. Here at the front well take our U-bolts bringing them around the underside of our front crossbar and feed them up through our front platform. Then well secure them by tightening the wing nuts on top. With both U-bolts installed and all four wing nuts secured well move to the rear. Well place the bracket on top of our rear crossbar, sitting them between our crossbar and our bike rack. more

Well take the silver U bolts to go around the underside of the front bar, up into the predrilled holes of the front platform. Well then take our black wing nuts to thread down onto the bolt and tighten it down. Well then repeat this process for the other side of the platform.Now moving to the rear this time well take the silver U bolt and drop it down through the predrilled holes of the bike rack. more

We'll then remove the black plastic cover at the front to bring the rubber-coated steel straps around the underside of the front bar. Okay, then hook them into the connection points. Now, moving to the rear, we'll remove one of the Allen bolts to bring the rear bracket around the underside of the rear bar. We'll then use the included Allen key to tighten down the bolts. Moving back up to the front, we'll use the included Allen key to tighten down the silver bolt to tighten down the straps up against the front load bar. more

Making sure that the bolts go around our rear load bar, we will want to fit our bracket around our bolts and then secure it by tightening down our wing nuts. With the front and rear secure we can go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap and make sure the skewer at the front is loose. We will grab our bike and place it onto the bike rack. more

Here at the front, we'll bring the front clamps around the front bar, fit the T-bolts through, and tighten on top with the wing nut. We'll do this for both sides of the front platform. Here at the rear, we'll loosen up the wing nuts so we can bring our bolts around our rear bar. We'll fit the bolts through the black metal bracket, and secure it by tightening the two wing nuts. With both the front and the rear secured, we can go ahead and undo our wheel straps, and make sure our frame jaws are open. more

We'll then take our black wing nuts to thread on to the U-bolts. We're going to tighten them down and repeat the same process for the other U-bolts. more

Now, moving to the rear, we'll remove one of the Allen bolts to position the rear bracket around the rear bar. We'll then reinstall our Allen bolts and tighten them down. Now, moving back up to the front, we'll hook the rubber-coated steel straps into position, and use the included Allen tool to turn the silver bolt to tighten down the straps. With everything all tightened down and secured, we're ready to load up our bike. more

We'll then fit the bolts through the bracket and secure it by installing our wing nuts. With the front and rear secure, we can go ahead and undo the wheel strap here at the rear and the wheel strap at the front. We'll also loosen up the hand knob for our frame jaws. We'll grab our bike and place it onto our bike rack. more

With the front and rear secure, we'll go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap and make sure the skewer at the front is loose. We'll grab our bike and place it onto our bike rack, dropping our front forks down onto our skewer. We'll secure the bike first by tightening our skewer and then move to our rear and tighten with the wheel strap. That completes today's test fit of the Rockymounts Tierod roof mounted bike rack, part number RKY1014, on our 2009 Subaru Forester. . more

Today on our 2010 Nissan Ultima well be test fitting the Yakima Forklift roof mounted bike rack part #: Y02098. With the Yakima Roundbar roof rack system already on our Ultima well start by placing our Forklift on our roof rack. Well remove the skewer at the front of the forklift and loosen the T-bolt to bring the front clamp around our crossbar. Well then tighten the same T-bolt to secure the front part of the rack and once its secure well slide the cover back up to the clamp. Then, well reinsert our skewer and just loosely tighten it so that theres still room for our bike forks to fit. Now well move to the back of the rack and fit the second clamp around the rear bar. more

With the Thule aero blade roof racks assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our carrier directly on top of our load bars. We'll bring the bracket at the front around our load bar, feed the bolt through the holes and tighten with an Allen key. We'll move to the rear of the carrier where we'll fit the clamp around our rear bar, feed the Allen bolts through the holes and tighten with an Allen key. Once we have both clamps secured to our vehicle, we're ready to start loading our bike. We'll need to make sure that the wheel strap the the rear is undone and the skewer at the front is open. We'll grab our bike, place it into the wheel tray and drop our front forks down on to our skewer. more

RockyMounts TieRod Stretch Roof Bike Rack Review - 2009 Mazda 3

Today on our 2009 Mazda 3, we'll be test fitting the Rocky Mounts tierod stretch roof mounted bike rack, part number RKY1011. With the sport rack roof rack system installed on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our stretch directly on to our load bars. Here at the front, we'll bring our straps around the front bar, and remove our black plastic cover. Once we have the strap secured back in to the head of the bike rack, we can use an allen key to tighten the allen bolt which will tighten ourstraps around our front bar. With those tight, we can replaceour black plastic cover. Here at the rear, we'll bring our clamp around our rear bar, drop our bolt through, and secure it by tightening down both bolts with an allen key. We'll go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap, and make sure our skewer at the front is loose. We'll grab our bike and place it on to our bike rack, and drop our front forks down on to our skewer. We'll secure the bike first by tightening our skewer, and then move to the rear and tighten with the wheel strap. more

Today, on our 2012 Nissan Xterra, we'll be test fitting the Yakima FrontLoader Wheel-Mounted Bike Rack, part number Y02103. With the Yakima Round Bar Roof Rack System assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our FrontLoader directly onto our crossbars. Here at the front, we'll want to be sure that our front clamps go around our front bar. Once we have that set, we can then use the handle at the front to secure our front clamp around the front bar. With that tight, we'll move to the rear and bring our rear clamp around our rear bar. We'll drop the T bolt through the appropriate slot and then use the hand knob to secure it. We'll go ahead and open up our wheel mount, and we'll undo the rear-tire strap. more

Today, on our 2012 Nissan Xterra, we'll be test fitting the Yakima Forklift roof mounted bike rack, part number Y02098. With the Yakima Round Bar roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Forklift directly onto our load bars. Here at the front, we'll want to remove our skewer, slide away our slotted bracket so we gain access to our T bolt. We'll bring our clamp around our front bar, fit our T bolt through the appropriate slot, and tighten it down with a T handle. Once we have that in place, we can slide the slotted bracket up around the T handle and reinstall our skewer. At the rear, we'll bring the rear bracket around the rear bar, drop our T bolt through the slot, and tighten it down using the T handle. We'll go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap and make sure our skewer at the front is loose. We'll grab our bike and place it onto our bike rack. more

With the Thule Rapid Traverse roof rack system already assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack onto the vehicle's load bars. We'll bring the rubber coated steel straps around the underside of the front bar and move to the rear. We'll loosen up one of the Allen bolts to bring the rear bracket around the underside of the rear bar. Let's run it back through and tighten it down with a wrench. We will then move back up to the front where we will remove the black plastic cover. We'll then hook the rubber coated steel straps into the connection points, and use the Allen wrench to turn the silver bolt to tighten down the straps up against the front bar. more

Today on our 2007 Volkswagen Jetta, we'll be test fitting the Swagman rooftop bike rack, part number S64720. With the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack system assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike directly onto our load bars. Here at the front platform, we'll take our U bolts, bring them up around the underside of our load bars, and tighten in place with the wing nuts. We'll do this for both sides of thefront carrier. Here at the rear, we'll take our U bolt and drop it through the top of the bike rack, placing it through the holes to make sure that it goes around our rear load bar. We'll then fit our black clamp through our U bolt and tighten it in place with two wing nuts. With the front and rear of our bike rack secured, we're now ready to undo the rear and front wheel straps and open up our frame jaws. We'll grab our bike and place it onto our bike rack. We'll secure it first by raising up our frame jaws, placing it around the lower part of our frame, and tightening it with a hand knob. more

Today on our 2007 Volkswagen Jetta we'll be test fitting the Swagman Fork Down Roof Mounted Bike Rick part number S64710. With the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System assembled on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Swagman Fork Down directly onto our load bars. Here at the front we'll take our U-bolts, bring them around the underside of our front load bar, and up through our front platform. Once we have those through we can then install the wingnuts to tighten them down. We'll do this for both sides of the front platform. We'll move to the rear and drop our U-bolt through the holes from the topside of our bike carrier making sure that our U-bolt goes around our rear load bar. We can then place on our black bracket and tighten in place with the wingnuts. With the front and rear secured we'll undo the rear wheel strap and make sure the skewer at the front is loose. more

Today, on our 2013 Chevy Cruze, well be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Stretch Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number RKY1011. Well begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up on to the vehicles roof rack. Well then remove the black plastic cover at the front to bring our rubber coated steel straps around the underside of the front bar and hook them into the connection point. Well then move to the rear, remove one of the Allen bolt with the included Allen wrench to slide the rear bracket around the underside of the rear bar. Well then reinstall the Allen bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. Now, moving back up to the front, well use the included Allen wrench to the turn the silver bolt to tighten on the straps helping us at front bar. With everything all tightened down and secured, we're ready to load up our bike. more

Then we can install our black metal bracket and secure it with two wing nuts. more

Today on our 2013 Chevy Cruise, we'll be test fitting this Swagman Fork Down Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number S64710. We'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's bars. We'll then take the silver brackets to go on the underside of the front bar, up into the pre-drilled holes of the front of the bike rack. We'll then take the black wing nuts to thread onto the threads of our bracket to secure the front part of the bike rack to the front bar. We'll then repeat the same steps for the other bracket. Now, moving to the rear of the bike rack, we can take the silver bracket and this time, slide it over top of the bar through the pre-drilled holes in the bike rack; taking the black plate to rest on the underside of the bar and threading on our wing nuts to tighten it down. Once everything is all tightened down and secured, we're ready to load up our bike. We'll place our bike up on the bike rack, sliding the forks down onto the skewer. more

Here at the rear, we'll bring our rear clamp around our rear bar, drop the T bolt through the appropriate slot, and tighten it down to secure it. With the front and rear of our bike rack secured, we'll go ahead and make sure that our rear wheel strap is undone. more

We'll do this for both sides of our front platform. Here at the rear we'll take our U-bolt, drop it through the top of our bike rack making sure it goes around our rear cross bar. Then we'll need to take our plastic clamp, fit it through our bolts, and make sure that it sits on top of our rear cross bar. With the bolts hanging down we'll take our metal clamp, fit the bolts through, and secure it with the wing nuts. more

We'll feed back through the Allen bolt and tighten in place with the Allen key until it's secured around our rear bar. more

We can then use an Allen key to tighten the Allen bolt which will tighten our straps around our front bar. With the straps tight, we can then replace our black plastic cover. We'll remove one of the Allen bolts to bring our clamp around our rear bar. We'll fit the Allen bolt through the clamp, and then tighten both Allen bolts down with an Allen key. With the front and rear secured, we can go ahead and undo our rear strap, and make sure our skewer at the front is loose. We'll grab our bike, place it onto our bike rack, and drop our front forks down onto our skewer. We'll secure the bike first by tightening our skewer, and then move to the rear, and tighten the wheel strap. With our bike all loaded up, we're ready to go. That completes today's test fit of the Rockymounts TieRod Stretch roof mounted bike rack, part number RKY1011, on our 2013 Kia Optima. . more
