First thing to point out is that these chains do have a ladder pattern which is gonna help you a lot with starting and stopping but not so much coverage on turns. The links themselves are a twist link, so they do wrap around each other, which gives you a good amount of bite and some light snow and maybe light ice but it's gonna be a little bit smoother compared to a V-bar style or square link. In this case, they are low carbon steel which might not be a terrible thing because all of these connection points can be breakable if it gets cold but they're not gonna last you as long and they're not gonna be as rust or weatherproof as a manganese nickel alloy might be. The chains do come with these built-in cam tighteners which help keep things nice and secure and overall, the installation of them wasn't too bad. more

The first thing I should talk about before we get too into it is that Toyota themselves do claim that you shouldn't use these tire chains on this vehicle, there are some clearance issues potentially, but if you're in a state that requires tire chains, these are probably gonna be one of the better options for you. 'Cause they are Class S compatible, which means they do work well with a limited wheel well clearance, these are gonna be a great option. Additionally, they are diamond pattern, which will give you more coverage on your tire, it's gonna make handling a little bit smoother, and it's gonna help you out with turns. If you get a little bit closer, you can see the links themselves are square links, so they're gonna have a little bit more bite into light snow and ice than a twisted link or some roller styles might have, but they're pretty small and they're pretty low profile relatively. more

The links themselves are in a diagonal pattern so they cut a little bit more coverage on the tire than say, your just normal ladder style pattern chains and they'll get you a little bit better coverage on turns. The links themselves are cables or they're actual rollers on the cables, so they're gonna get you a little bit of a smoother ride compared to maybe some square-link chains. However, you're gonna sacrifice a little bit more of that traction for that smoother ride so that's something to consider. more

How's it going, everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install these Titan Chain V-Bar Snow Tire Chains on our 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. These chains are ladder pattern, which means that they go straight across the tire. Not gonna give you as much coverage or smooth a ride as say a diamond pattern chain. But if you're getting a chain that is as aggressive as these, you're not gonna be super worried about bumpiness, and they're gonna do a great job of getting you that traction, and starting and stopping. The chains themselves, have these twisted links as you can see, they basically, just wrap around one another which is gonna do a great job of getting you that traction in snow and ice. more

How's it going everyone This is Ethan at Etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install our Titan Chains twist link snow tire chains on our 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. These are just gonna be a good intermediate style chain for more inclement weather conditions. They're not gonna be daily use, but we'll get into it in just a little bit. These are ladder pattern style chains, which are gonna help primarily with starting and stopping, they're not gonna give you as much coverage or great traction on turns like a diamond pattern chain might, but they will help with starting and stopping. These twist links are gonna be a little bit more low profile than some of the square link alternatives, which give you more bite. more

Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners Installation - 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
How's it going, everyone It's Ethan here with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at our Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners for wide-based tires on our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. They feature these cam tighteners as mentioned in the title and this tool that comes with it just to torque those and get any tension out of the actual chains themselves. It's ladder-style, pattern chain which is gonna give you a lot of bite on starting and stopping. Additionally, they do come composed out of a manganese nickel alloy, which is gonna do great as far as keeping rust, corrosion, weather, things like that out of deteriorating them and they're gonna be great for multiple seasons to come. The links are very large and they're square, as well as you can see, they have these grooved ridges so the square links themselves are gonna give you great bite in some thicker ice and some more inclement conditions as well as the grooves themselves giving you a little bit more surface area and a little bit more bite in those conditions as well. more

These chains are a diamond pattern, which is gonna give you more coverage on your tire. It's gonna give you better traction on turns and it's gonna give you a smoother ride overall. But ladder patterns do help a little bit with starting and stopping. These chains are square links. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Konig XG 12 Pro Diamond Pattern, self tensioning snow tire chains on our 2022 GMC Sierra. These are SAE Class S certified, so if wheel well clearance is something that you're worried about, these do meet that requirement. Additionally, they are a diamond pattern-style chain, which is going to give you more coverage on the tire. It's going to give you a smoother ride, and better handling and turning. These chains themselves are square link, although they are pretty low profile, the square links will do a good job of getting you some bite into some light ice. more

Konig Premium Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
How's it going It's Ethan here with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Konig K-Summit Diamond Pattern Tire Chains and how to install them on your 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. These are Class S certified chains typically used for cars with limited wheel well clearance. Not something that we have to necessarily worry about in this case, but that's what they're typically for. They're diamond pattern, which gives you a smoother ride and easier ability to turn, less in the starting and stopping sense, but definitely a more comfortable ride overall. The chains themselves have square links, which are great for biting in to the ice and snow that you might be running into. more

These are ladder style chains, which basically just means that the chains themselves go parallel across the tire. It's gonna be great for starting and stopping as well as traversing through extra icy and snowy conditions. Additionally, these square links have a lot of bite in them so then again do a great job of getting into that ice and snow. As well as you can see the grooves on the links themselves, doing a good job of getting more surface area again and more bite. more

How's it going, everyone It's Ethan here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the pewag 7mm truck chains with cams. These are the most aggressive chains that I personally have installed. They're not actually for road use at all. They're off-road only, so definitely don't look at these if you're looking for a chain that you can use on the road. The links themselves are seven millimeter, like the name would suggest, and they're very aggressive so they're gonna be doing a good job of off-road handling. more

Our tire size here is 2 65 70 17. There are a couple of different sizes, so just make sure that you have the right chains for your tire. What sets these chains apart are both these V-bar patterns on the links and the cam tighteners. These V-bars are gonna do a great job of biting in into deep snow and ice, as well as the ladder style pattern. more

Titan Mud Service Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2022 GMC Sierra 1500- Video
How's it going everyone It's Ethan here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at our Titan Chain Mud Service Snow Tire Chains on our 2022 GMC Sierra. So these are the chains that you're gonna wanna pick up, mostly for off-road usage, adventuring, things like that. They are pretty heavy duty and they do have this twisted link design, which is going to make for a bit of a smoother ride than say your square link chains in the same style. These are ladder style chains, which means they go straight across the tire, gonna be good for starting and stopping, not so much great for coverage and turning and things like that, but if you are using these for off-roading purposes, you're probably not gonna be super worried about a smooth ride. They're made of a low carbon steel, which is probably the best case for chains that are twisted like this because they could get brittle if you're out in the cold and that could be a breaking point. more

How's it going everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install these Glacier tire chains with cam tighteners on a 2022 GMC Sierra. These are a ladder pattern style chain which basically means the chains go straight across your tire. It's gonna be good for starting and stopping. That is great for coverage and turning, but the chains themselves are twisted links which are going to help you as well, getting bite and traction, as well as there being these V bars on top, which are obviously going to do a good job of biting into some deeper ice and snow as well. These are pretty aggressive chains used for pretty aggressive conditions, and they're gonna be pretty bumpy when you're driving, but if you're using these chains, it's probably not gonna be something you're concerned with. more

What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out the pewag Brenta-C 4X4 Snow Tire Chains on our 2022 GMC Terrain. One of the first things you wanna do is get your tire size, so you can put it in the fit guide to make sure you get the right chains for the right tire. The tire size we'll work on today is 235/50R19, and you can usually find that around the tire. These tire chains are gonna be a diamond pattern, so you can see looking at the tire, they make that diamond shape as it goes around, so that's gonna give more coverage with the chains. They're also gonna be square links, so it's gonna help dig into the ice, so they're gonna be good with snow and ice compared to some other chains that just go straight across like a ladder pattern, those are really only good for starts and stops, they don't dig in, but this is gonna be the best of both worlds to give you better grip. more
