Today on our 2006 Honda Pilot, we'll be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Stretch roof-mounted bike rack, part number RKY1011. With the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof-Rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front, we'll bring our straps around our front bar and remove our black plastic cover. We'll take our Allen key and tighten our Allen bolt, which will secure our straps around our front bar. With the straps tight, we can replace our black plastic cover. Here at the rear, we'll loosen up one of the Allen bolts so we can bring our rear clamp around our rear bar. We'll use an Allen key to tighten down our Allen bolts to secure our rear clamp around our bar. We'll go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap and make sure our skewer at the front is loose. more

With the Thule Traverse roof rack system on our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly on to our load bars. Well bring the brackets around our front bar and fit the T-bolt to the appropriate slots. Well use the wing nuts on top to secure it into position. At the rear, well undo our wing nut so we can bring our rear clamp around our rear bar. Well make sure that we have a bolt on each side of our rear load bar. more

Today on our 2006 Honda Pilot, well be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number RKY1014.With the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System on our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our load bars.Here at the front, well bring our straps around our front bar and then we can remove our black plastic cover, so we can fit the straps back into the head of the carrier. Well then use an Allen key to tighten the Allen bolt, which will tighten our straps around our bar. Once we have our straps tight, we can replace our black plastic cover. At the rear well take out one of the Allen bolts so we can bring our rear clamp around our rear bar, well drop our Allen bolt back through the appropriate slots and then we can use an Allen key to tighten our Allen bolts to secure our clamp around our bar.With the front and rear secured, well go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap and make sure our skewer at the front is loose. Well grab our bike and place it on to our bike rack, drop in our front forks down onto our skewer. Well secure the bike first by tightening our skewer and then move to the rear and tighten with the wheel strap. With the bike all loaded up were ready to go and that completes todays test fit for the RockyMounts TieRod Roof Mounted Bike Rack, parts number RKY1014, on our 2006 Honda Pilot. more

SportRack Frame Mount Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2012 Honda Fit

Today on our 2012 Honda Fit, we'll be test fitting the Sportrack roof-mounted bike rack, part number SR4611. With the Thule Rapid Traverse roof-rack system on our vehicle we'll begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front platform we'll bring our U-bolt from the underside of our load bar and fit it back up through our front platform. We'll secure it by tightening down the two wingnuts. We'll then repeat this process for the other side of our front platform. With the front of our bike rack secured we'll move to the rear and place our fitted bracket between our bike rack and our rear load bar. We'll drop our bolts through the top of the bike rack and we'll also fit them through the rubber-coated metal bracket that goes around the underside of our load bar. We'll secure it in place by tightening down two wingnuts. We'll undo each wheel strap and make sure our frame jaws are open. We'll grab our bike and place it onto our bike rack, securing it first with the frame jaw placing it around the lower part of our frame and closing the lever to finish the securing process. Then we'll move to each wheel and tighten with the wheel straps. With our bike all loaded up we're ready to go. That completes today's test fit of the Sportrack roof-mounted bike rack, part number SR4611 on our 2012 Honda Fit. more

Today on our 2012 Honda Fit we'll be test fitting the Kuat Trio roof-mounted bike rack, part number RU01. With the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Trio directly onto our load bars. Here at the front we'll bring our U bolt around the underside of our front load bar and fit it back up through our carrier. Then we'll secure it by installing two cylinder nuts. We'll do this for the other side of the bike rack as well. Then we can take the included tool and tighten down all four cylinder nuts until we have the front of our bike rack secured to the front bar. Here at the rear we'll install our two bolts, sliding them up until we have one on each side of our rearload bar. more

Today on our 2012 Mazda 5, we'll be test fitting the Thule Big Mouth Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number TH599XTR. With the Thule Square Bar Roof Rack System on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Thule Big Mouth Bike Rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front, we'll bring our clamps around our front bar fitting the T bolts through the appropriate slots and tightening them down by using the wing nuts on top. Once we have both sides tightened at the front, we can thenmove to the rear. Here at the rear, we'll bring the clamp around the rear bar, making sure that we have a bolt sitting on each side of our rear bar. We'll take the black metal plate, fit the bolts through it and secure it by tightening down the 2 wing nuts. Now we can go ahead and undo the 2 wheel straps and make sure our frame draws are open. more

RockyMounts TieRod Stretch Roof Bike Rack Review - 2011 Honda CR-V

Today on our 2011, Honda CRV, we'll be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Stretch Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number RKY1011. To begin our test fit, we simply place the carrier onto the vehicle's crossbars and in no specific order, bring the rubber-coated steel straps through the underside of the front crossbar and bring the back, black bracket around the underside of the rear crossbar. We'll then use the Allen bolts to tighten on the rear bracket as well as hooking the rubber-coated steel straps in the head of the carrier and tightening it down with the Allen key. Once both brackets are tightened down, our RockyMounts TieRod is secured to our Honda CRV. Now, we're ready to load up our bike. We'll loosen up the skewer and undo the rear tray strap. more

Today on our 2006 Subaru Outback Wagon, well be test fitting the Yakima FrontLoader Wheel Mounted Bike Rack, part number Y02103. With the factory roof rack system on our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our crossbars. Here at the front, well fit the clamp around our front bar and then use the T-handle at the front to secure it around the bar. At the rear, well bring our clamp around our rear bar, drop the T-bolt through the appropriate slot and secure it by tightening the T-handle on top.With the front and rear of our bike rack secured, well go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap and open up our wheel mount at the front. Well grab our bike and place it onto our bike rack securing it first with the wheel mount by tightening the red hand knob to secure the mounts around our wheel. Well then move to the rear and tighten with the wheel strap. more

Today on our 2006 Subaru Outback wagon, we'll be test fitting the Yakima forklift roof mounted bike rack, part number Y02098. With a factory roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our Yakima forklift directly onto our cross bars. Here at the front we'll remove the T handle to bring our front clamp around our front bar. We'll place the T bolt through the appropriate slot, and tine it in place using the T handle on top. Now we need to remove our skewer. Once we have that removed, we can move the slotted bracket around our T handle and reinstall our skewer, making sure it goes through our bracket. We'll go ahead and leave our skewer loose for when we're ready to load our bike. Here at the rear we'll bring our rear clamp around our rear bar, place the T bolt through the appropriate slight, and tighten it using the handle on top. Now we'll undo the rear wheel strap, grab our bike, and place it onto our bike rack. We'll drop the front forks down onto our skewer, and we'll secure the bike first by tightening our skewer. more

We'll fit the straps into the head of the carrier and use an allen key to tighten down our allen bolt, which will tighten our straps around our front bar. With those tight, we can go ahead and replace our black plastic cover. Here at the rear, we'll loosen up one the the allen bolts so that we can bring our clamp around our rear bar. We'll fit the bolt back through the clamp and tighten both bolts using an allen key. With the front and rear secure, we can go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap and make sure our skewer at the front is loose. We'll grab our bike and place it onto our bike rack. more

Today on our 2013 Toyota Sienna we'll be test fitting a Thule Big Mouth Roof Mounted Bike Rack part number TH599XTR. With the Thule Crossroad Roof Rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicles load bars. Starting at the front of the bike rack, we'll position the front brackets around the underside of the front bar and make sure that the T-bolts insert into the slots of the front brackets. We'll then use the black wingnuts to tighten them down. We'll the move to the rear and remove one of the black wingnuts. We'll position the black plate around the underside of the rear bar and reinstall our wingnut. Once everything is all tightened down and secured we're ready to load up our bike. more

Today, on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be testing fitting the Kuat-Trio roof mounted bike rack, part number RU01. With the factory roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Trio directly onto our crossbars. Here at the front we'll take our U-bolts, bring them round the underside of our front crossbar fitting them back up through the front of our bike rack. We'll take our nuts and tighten them on the ends of the bolts. Now we'll repeat this process for the other U-bolt at the front of our bike rack. We'll take the included tool to tighten down each nut on our two U-bolts. With the front and rear secure, we can go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap and make sure our skewer at the front is loose. We'll grab our bike and place it onto the Trio, dropping our front forks down onto the skewer. We'll secure the bike first by tightening the skewer and then move to the rear and tighten with the wheel strap. With the bike all loaded up, we're ready to go. That completes today's test fit of the Kuat-Trio roof mounted bike rack, part number RU01 on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. . more

With the front and rear secured, we can go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap, make sure our frame jaws are open, and loosen up the front wheel strap. We'll grab our bike and place it onto the Bigmouth. We'll secure it first by fitting the frame jaws around the lower part of our bike's frame. more

Today on our 2003 Honda Pilot we'll be test fitting the Yakima Forklift Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number Y02098. With a factory roof rack on our vehicle we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's load bars. Starting here at the front, we'll go ahead and remove the skewer. We'll then loosen up the wingnut and bring the front bracket around the underside of the front bar. We'll position the silver T-bolt into the slot at the bottom portion of the bracket and tighten down our black wingnut. Moving the rear we can then adjust the black wingnut as well to position the rear bracket around the rear bar. Again we'll position the silver T-bolt into the slot and tighten down the black wingnut to secure the rear part of the bike rack to the rear bar. With everything all tightened down and secured, we're ready to load up our bike. Back up at the front we'll slide the black cover over the black wingnut and reinstall our skewer, making sure it stays loose so our forks can slide down onto it. Now moving the rear, we'll go ahead and undo the strap. We'll place our bike up onto the bike rack, sliding the forks down onto the skewer. We can adjust the sewer and clamp it down, securing the back tire with the rear strap. With our bike all loaded up, that'll complete today's test fit for the Yakima Forklift Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number Y02098, on our 2003 Honda Pilot. more

We'll then pull out our hardware and take the silver U bolts to go on the underside of the front bar up through the pre-drilled holes at the front part of the bike rack. We'll then thread on our wing nuts and tighten them down, securing the front part of the bike rack to the front bar. Moving to the rear, this time we'll take the silver U bolt to go on top of the bike rack through the pre-drilled holes, taking the black plate to go on the underside of the rear bar. We'll thread on our black wing nuts and tighten it down to secure the rear bike rack to the rear bar. Now that everything is all tightened down and secured, we're ready to load up our bike. more

Well now move to the rear and use the allen wrench to remove one of the allen bolts to position the rear bracket around the rear bar. Well then reinstall the allen bolt and tighten it down. Well now move back up to the front and use the included allen key to tighten down the silver bolt to bring the rubber coated, steel straps up around tightly against the front bar. With everything all tightened down and secure, were ready to load up our bike. Well replace the black, plastic cover at the front and double check to make sure our skewer is loose. Well undo the strap at the rear, and place our bike up onto the bike rack. more

We'll then slide thebracket up around the T handleand reinstall our skewer. Here at the rear, we'll bring our rear clamp around our rear bar, drop the T bolt through the appropriate slot, and tighten it by twisting the T handle on top. With the front and rear secure, we'll go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap and make sure that our skewer at the front is loose. We'll grab our bike and place it onto our bike rack, drop in our front forks down onto our skewer. We'll secure the bike first by tightening our skewer and then move to the rear and tighten with the wheel strap. That completes today's test fit for the Yakima ForkLift roof-mounted bike rack, part number Y02098, on our 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. . more
