To do this, we'll measure from the inside top edge of our receiver tube to the ground. Now on this truck, that measurement is 20 and a half inches. Now keep in mind, that the measurement can change due to tire size, hitch style, or any other accessory which may change your vehicles right height so its a good idea to measure yours.We'll now slide the ball mount shank into our hitch, line up our hitch pinholes and install our hitch pin and clip.With that, our ball mount is secured to our GMC in the drop position. Now we'll go ahead and measure from the top of the ball mount platform to the ground with this ball mount. That measurement is 18 and a half inches. more

Today, on our 2008 Nissan Frontier, we'll be test fitting the Convert-A-Ball Cushion Ball Mount, part number AMSC2. Now, the first thing we want to do is measure our hitch height. That's from the ground to the inside tab of our receiver tube. Our Frontier has a hitch height measurement of 17 inches. Now, keep in mind that this measurement will vary some even within 2008 Frontiers. Variances in tires, exact model type, and aftermarket parts, even the hitch itself, will determine the hitch height, so make sure you measure your particular vehicle. more

Now before beginning our test fit, well need to get our hitch height measurement. To do this, well measure from the inside top edge of the receiver tube to the ground. Now on this truck, that measurement is 17-3/4. Now keep in mind that, that measurement can vary due to hitch style, tire size or any other accessory which may change the vehicles right height, so its a good idea to measure yours. Well now go ahead and insert the ball mount shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our hitch pin. more

The measurement from the ground to the top of the ball platform in the drop position is about 13 inches. more

We will now slide shank into the opening of the receiver tube in the drop position, align the pin hole, slide the pin through the pin hole and secure with the clip. We will now measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform and our measurement is about 15 inches. more

Today on our 2012 GMC Sierra well be test fitting the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned Ball Mount for 2-inch hitches part number AMSC4. Now before we begin our test fit we will first need to obtain the hitch height for our vehicle. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube and ours is about 18 inches. Now to begin our test fit in the draw position well insert the shank of the ball mount into the hitch, line up our hitch pin hole and put our pin through the hitch pin hole and secure it with a clip. Well then measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform and get a measurement of 14 inches. Now for your trailer ride height which is the measurement from the ground to the bottom of the coupler while your trailer is level matches ours this will be an appropriate ball mount for you. more

This ball mount gives you the option to pull a trailer with an 1-7/8-inch ball, a 2-inch ball, or a 2-5/16 ball depending on your trailer. Before fitting our ball mount into the vehicle well need to get our hitch height measurement. To do this, well measure from the ground to the top of the ball mount platform. Now on this vehicle, that measurement is 14-3/4 inches. Andersen Rapid Hitch Ball Mount Review - 2013 Dodge Durango

Today, on our 2013 Dodge Durango will be test fitting Part Number AM3410, this is the Rapid Hitch Adjustable Aluminum Ball Mount Kit with Two Chrome Ball. This ball mount is capable of towing up to 10,000 pounds with a maximum drop distance of 5-1/2 inches or a maximum rise of 6 inches. The ball mount will adjust in one inch increments between those two measurements. We'll now go ahead and slide the shank of our ball mounted to the hitch, line up our hitch pinhole and install our hitch pin. We can then put the clip on the other side of the pin, securing the ball mount to the vehicle. In the full drop position, our ball is sitting 9 inches from the ground. more
