Our fuse bypass is simply going to deactivate a fuse when we're flat towing, that way our radio isn't pulling power or, for whichever vehicle you're flat towing, just flipping this switch is going to essentially pull that fuse out. That way we manually don't have to pull that fuse out every time we're flat towing.So it's going to keep that power draw from happening when we are flat towing for a long period of time. more

The FuseMaster is going to be a great option for certain vehicles in which the owner's manual specifies that we need to remove a fuse before towing, which is going to be the case here for our Terrain. Yes. It is possible to pop the lid on our fuse box and go ahead and remove that fuse each time you want to tow physically.However, that's going to be a pain after a while. You're going to have to bend over, crawl underneath the dash there to get to the fuse, so that's where Roadmaster's kit is going to come into play. more

Today, we'll be taking a look at, and I'll show you how we installed Roadmaster's Diode Wiring Kit on our 2020 Honda Accord.Now, our diode kit is going to allow us to use our RV's turn, stop and tail light signals and send those back to our vehicle. Now, we always have to travel with lighting on the back of our vehicle, and the diode kits are a great option because we don't have to have any magnetic lights or anything sticking on the back of our Accord. We also won't to have to use a bulb and socket kit, so we don't have to drill into our factory tail light housing. And in this case, we didn't have a whole lot of extra room, so the bulb and socket kit wouldn't have worked.Our diode wiring is one of the key components in our flat towing setup. Today we'll be taking a look at, and I'll show you how to install the Blue Ox Fuse Bypass on our 2014 Honda CRV.You might be wondering why do I need a fuse bypass They really come in handy because you don't have to pull that micro fuse every time that we want to flat tow. And the reason we'd have to pull it is because when we're flat towing our vehicle, it'll run down on a battery. So using that fuse bypass simply turns off that fuse and keeps our battery from dying when we're flat towing.And part of our fuse bypass is going to be this handy-dandy switch. I mounted it right here in our little cubby. more

So our bulb and socket tail light wiring kit here is going to be an excellent option here for our Chevy Spark. It's actually one of my favorite kits, and the reason for this is we don't have to do any splicing whatsoever into the vehicle's existing wiring harness. So we don't have to worry about any problems associated with doing so, such as shorting out the vehicle's wiring harness, or causing any issues to our bulbs or the electrical system. So, as you can see here, this is actually going to be the light bulb from our bulb and socket kit. more

Rob: Hey everybody, it's Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Roadmaster Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit on our 2013 Lincoln. Now, whenever you want to flat tow your Lincoln, it's going to be very important to have functioning lights back here, because whenever you're pulling with your motorhome, the car most likely is going to block and move with the tail lights. And when you have something behind you, whether it is a vehicle or a trailer, we got to have those lights so everyone around us knows what's going on. Whether we're driving down the highway and we need to change lanes, we're driving at night, all of those signals are very important to safety and making sure that we're staying legal.One of my favorite things about the diodes is the fact that it's not going to change the outward appearance of our Lincoln. Unlike those other kinds, we've all seen them, those magnetic lights, where usually you stick them to the top of the body somewhere, and then definitely we'll get those signals to the back. But that requires an extra step every time we hook up and we want to tow. more

Hi there flat towers, today we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's diode wiring kit on your 2020 Chevrolet, Colorado. The big difference between these kits though is the umbilical cord that comes with it. You're either going to receive a straight cable with them, which is ideal if you have a tow bar that has channels in it so you can run that cable through those channels. There's also a kit with a coily umbilical cable, and that's ideal if you don't have any channels because that coil is going to keep your cable up off the pavement so it doesn't hang down.It's going to give you that tension from the coils. So our kid is going to allow us to use our factory wiring and it keeps all of our wiring contained inside of the vehicle so we don't have to use magnetic lights or any sort of other outside lights that are going to be sticking on the back of our Jeep. Our diodes are going to protect our Jeep's factory wiring from any backfeed that might come through our taillight signal so we don't have to worry about our taillights being messed up on our Jeep.In terms of installation, installing our diodes really isn't that bad. more

There's five main components you'll need when flat towing your vehicle behind your motor home. The reason this vehicle needs it is because, when the car is set up to be in tow mode, you have to have the key in the accessory on position to shift it into neutral. Once shifted into neutral, the key can not be taken out of the ignition because it kind of locks it into place. So you have to be able to shut the power off for the battery. more
