Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2006 Mini Cooper- Video

Hey everyone, Shane here with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2006 Mini Cooper, and I want to walk you through how to install Roadmasters LED bulb and socket kit. Bulb and socket kit, or the LED light kit, is gonna be designed to transfer light signals back to the back of your vehicle when it's being flat towed. The difference between diode kits and your bulb and socket is, diode kits are designed to tie into factory wiring, where the bulb and socket requires you to drill a hole into the light, and then use the separate bulb. That way it doesn't affect or interfere with any wiring on the vehicle itself. Now with the Mini Cooper, it actually, the wires cannot be tied into so you can't use a diode kit. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kit here on a 2020 Lincoln Nautilus. So what is a diode wiring kit and why do we need it Well, it's actually pretty simple. It's gonna be a required component for our flat-tow setup. It's gonna take the signals from the motorhome lights and transfer them over to the vehicle, because in a lot of cases, the lights on our motorhome are not gonna be visible because we have the vehicle blocking them. Therefore, we need a way to transmit the signals to let other motorists out on the road know what signals we're gonna be making, so we can arrive at our destination safe and sound without breaking any laws. These kits are available in a few different combinations, depending on the tow bar and the type of wiring that you want to use for your connection at the front, you can get it with either a four pole flat trailer connector, or you could get it where it has as a six pole connector as well. The six poles, the most common, and you can also get the cables in varying styles, whether they be a straight cable, which is what we'll be showing off. 'Cause that can slide through channels in a tow bar. This gets available in several configurations depending on the type of wiring that you're gonna wanna use to connect your motorhome to your vehicle. We're using a seven to six round and a coiled option, but there's also a hybrid, which is coiled on one end and straight on the other. That's nice if you're using an extension like this, but you have a tow bar that has channels for your wiring, such as the Roadmaster's Falcon All Terrain. If you don't need the extra coil then on the end, but you have channels, there's just a straight option available as well. And then you could use just a 4-pole on your vehicle. more

Now, the reason we need to do this is, it's gonna really allow us to remain up to code for all local state rules and regulations. So, while we're in our motor home and we're signaling to others, what we're gonna be doing, we're obviously not gonna be able to see the taillights on the motor home, or at least not very well for those behind you. Therefore, we need to transfer those signals over here to our towed vehicle. So, others on the road can see what we're doing. more

Roadmaster Diode 7 to 6 Wire Coil Kit Installation - 2012 Ford F-150- Video

Hi there Ford owners, today on your 2012 Ford F150, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Diode wiring kit. These kits are available in a few different combinations depending on the cable that you would want to use for its connection, you can either get a coiled cable, a hybrid coiled to straight cable, a completely straight cable, these are all six bolt connections. There's also a four pole cable available and you can get it with no cable at all. And that's just gonna determine which one is gonna work best for you. It is based on the tow bar you get, whether the tow bar has channels or not. If it does have channels, I'd recommend a straight cable. more
