Adding the steering stabilizer onto your motor home, in my opinion is a must. I've traveled a lot in a different RVs, and driving without the steering stabilizer, and I've also driven with them. And you can definitely tell a difference. When you're driving without them, what tends to happen is you get a crosswind or maybe you're passing a tractor trailer, and the wind that comes in between them, what it does is because you're so big, it's pushing you over while you're having to fight the steering wheel to keep it centered in the lane. more

Today on your 2019 Jayco Redhawk, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's front anti-sway bar and this is what our new sway bar is going to look like when it's installed. It's obvious right away looking at it how much more robust the sway bar is than our factory original. But if you can't remember, here's the original that we removed from it and you can tell that there's way more steel on our new sway bar preventing our vehicle from rocking back and forth. The lighter steel of our factory one allowed much more twisting motion of the sway bar, which didn't prevent our vehicle from swaying as much as this one will. The extra thickness is going to keep the sway bar from flexing as much, which is going to keep our vehicles straight up and down more often than not. more

It does this using the gas-powered shock absorber with the spring located on it. The spring will not only compress, but it also will pull. So, if you turn your wheel in one direction, the spring compresses and it wants to uncompress back to its normal position. If you turn the wheel the opposite direction, you'll see that it would want to stretch our spring, and the spring again would want to pull it back to return to center.The dampener inside assists with the spring to perform this action very fluidly, so it doesn't seem like it's pulling back really fast. more

Well, that's where the rear sway bars are going to come into play. It's going to help stiffen up that chassis and help eliminate that sway in the motor home, making it a lot easier to keep in a straight line and drive without worrying too much. Now, since the sway bar is in the back, it's really only going to help combat that sway here in the rear of the camper. What'll help offset that and do the same thing upfront, I'd recommend the Roadmaster front anti-sway bar.Let's go ahead and take our motor home on the test course. more

Today on our 2019 Thor motor home we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster front sway bar.Motor homes are big boxes that are very top heavy so when you're going down the road, they're known to catch a lot of wind and have a lot of body roll or sway. That's when the camper goes back and forth, and that can be very nerve wracking at times. And it's really inconvenient whenever you're trying to get to your destination and you have to be nervous and fight your steering wheel the whole way down just to keep you in a straight line.Overall, in my opinion, and upgrade well worth your time. That time is going to replenish itself by being able to ride comfortably on the road, arriving to your campsite or your destination energized, and not feeling exhausted from having to fight your motor home the whole way there.So with the addition of another front anti-sway bar, it's really going to help tighten up that chassis, reducing that sway and body roll, making it a lot easier to stay in a straight line.And one of the things I would recommend getting to work in conjunction with that front sway bar is a steering stabilizer. Now, what that's going to do is help tighten up your steering wheel and help return it to center that way it makes it even easier to keep your motor home in a straight line.Now let's go ahead and take our motor home on the test course. Rob here at e trailer dot com, and today we're going to be taking a look at the Roadmaster reflex steering stabilizer with installation brackets, on our two thousand twelve, Winnebago vista. Now a steering stabilizer is going to come into play whenever you have a motor home, because let's face it, you've driven one before you can realize that the steering is kind of sloppy, plus their really top heavy, so gusts of wind comes by and we start getting pushed around. Once that happens, we end up fighting the steering wheel. Everybody in the back's getting tossed around and, it just becomes an un-enjoyable ride.I don't know about you, but I would really like to enjoy my motor home. I like to go out with my friends and my family and take a trip, not have to worry about the kids in the back, worrying that the motor home swinging back and forth and I'm sitting there fighting it. Plus I'd like to have a little bit of energy. more

Hi there, Allegro owners. Today on your 2015 Tiffin Allegro, we're going to be installing Roadmaster's Rear Anti-Sway Bar.This is what your sway's going to look like when it's installed. It's an auxiliary sway bar that's going to be installed in conjunction with your factory rear sway bar. Your factory rear sway bar's here right in front of your rear axle, and our new sway bar is installed right behind the rear axle. The newer sway bar is even bigger, beefier and more robust than your factory sway bar, so when working conjunction with it, it's really going to help minimize sway.What this means for you is you Will have a more enjoyable driving experience because the motor home's not going to be swaying back and forth as much whenever you have a crosswind or a large semi passes by you or if you hit any uneven pavement. That rocking motion is going to be minimized as the torsion of the large arm that we just placed on here is going to help bring it back to center.This is going to make it more comfortable for you and all of your passengers because you're not going to be getting thrown around as much on the inside, and it's going to make things much easier on you as a driver to maintain straight control of the vehicle. more

Today, in our 2006 Winnebago Chalet, we're going to be installing Roadmaster's front anti-sway bar. And this is what our new sway bar's going to look like when it's installed. It replaces your original sway bar, and offers increased rigidness due to its larger diameter. What this means for you is it's going to further reduce sway on the vehicle, so when you're driving down the road you won't have so much rocking back and forth form side to side. It'll give you more control over your RV, due to having less sway. You won't have to compensate much left and right on the steering wheel. more

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2006 Winnebago Chalet Motorhome- Video
Today on our 2006 Winnebago Chalet, we're going to be installing Roadmasters rear anti sway bar, and this is what our sway bar looks like when it's installed. This sway bar is a direct replacement for your original sway bar. It'll offer greater anti sway properties due to its larger size so you won't experience as much side to side movement when going down the road. This is particularly noticeable on especially windy days and when driving over very bumpy roads with a lot of uneven pavement. So what this really means for you is overall you're going to have a more enjoyable driving experience and you're going to arrive at your destination with more energy because you weren't fighting the wheel so much. We'll begin our installation underneath the vehicle just in front of our rear axle. more

Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar on our 2012 Tiffin Allegro motor home. Now we get a lot of questions here at etrailer.com about motor homes, especially about how to make them drive better, because once you start driving one you realize real quick, they're pretty top heavy. They've got a lot of area for the wind to catch and if you're not very comfortable driving one, it can be very nerve wracking. There's a lot of situations where the wind will start pushing us, there'd be dips in the road and the motor home doesn't react that quickly, so we end up getting a lot of body roll, fight that steering wheel and then we're exhausted by the time we get where we're going.Well, the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar is going to help alleviate a lot of that mushy feeling. It's going to help that body roll side to side, whether we're taking a turn, we hit a bump in the road or anything like that. It's going to help reduce that swaying in the back and especially if we have a bathroom, bedroom or if we have a car hooked up to the back that we're flat towing, that's a lot of extra weight that's going to be transferred side to side and that's where the anti-sway bar is going to help with that rolling body feeling that we get.But before we put it in place, let's take it on our test course and see how the motor home handles.As I take my motor home on the test course, even over the bumps, I can feel the swaying feeling going back and forth, especially on the alternating speed bumps. more

There's a lot of area for the wind to catch, which all means that when we're driving down the road, it's going to tend to sway and have a really big rolling feeling, and just a loose feeling when we're driving down the road.Now, I don't know about you, but if I don't feel very under control, it can't be very enjoyable. I'm getting pushed around on the highway. It feels like it's leaning more than turning. Not to mention everybody in the back, they're getting tossed around. more
